Where to start!!!
Where to start? The road (very loosely termed, it's a rough dirt track) is in a terrible state and almost certainly does damage to your tyres. Clays are very expensive and the pathways to the stands are in a terrible state and flooded if it's been raining. If you shoot a hundred clays you will get at least 10% either not working but registering or coming out broken. We go because it's nearby and convenient and it's only Paula and Mike that keep the place running at all and do a great job. Now for the'restaurant' Just don't go here, life is too short. Went there today, nobody at the counter, rang the bell twice before a young girl eventually turned up apologising that she was on her own, (at this point only us two there ordered two coffees, said she'd bring them to us, we saw her pour one out after several minutes then left that to do who knows what in the back of the kitchen as another four people had arrived by then, after about 10 to 15 minutes in total we gave up and asked for our money back, they had no idea how to do this either. At this point the young girl asked why we wanted a refund and told us we were being rude! EVENTUALLY got a refund in cash after a total of now about 25 minutes being told first that if we've waited 20 minutes another few minutes to sort out a refund wouldn't matter. Laughably the young girl asked if we wanted the coffee to go (the one coffee she had made of the two ordered, now cold after being stood for over 20 minutes) Just don't go in the café, this is not an unusual occurrence as the service is always awful in our experience. They should take a trip to Thimbleby to see how a place should be run. Despite all this thanks to Paula and Mike who keep the place running.
