A lot of hot air
My husband and I went to the shop to discuss our requirements for a street party display. The lady who served us was really helpful and we settled on two stand displays. We said it was outside and would the stands be suitable. She said on delivery they would have stands which ensured they would be upright and support them. We asked if we had to return the stands and she said they would be collected later that day. We said we wanted them at 12 o’clock and would that be ok. She asked what time the event was starting and we told her 3 o’clock. She checked with someone in the back, a male and we paid and left.
On the day they did not arrive until 1:30 pm after two phone calls asking for an arrival time. They arrived as I was leaving to do a task and on my return I was told they were in our hallway. Apparently the balloons at the bottom kept bursting on contact with the road. I suggested putting mats under them and we secured them to our marquee instead of them being freestanding. They looked good but not what we were led to believe.
On ringing to express our disappointment it was inferred that we lied about the time saying arrival was scheduled for between 12 and 3 pm. It was also inferred that I was rude on the phone which my neighbour who was present said I was not.
We will never use this firm again and with a large family and social ties who regularly have events we have advised them too.
