I bought a Seiko 5 off Ebay which stopped working after 24 hours. Fortunately I got my money back without any problem, but it made me very wary of buying any other vintage watches. Then I came across Past2Present and immediately realised that this was a far better option. I think many of us budding watch collectors imagine that vintage watches just keep on running and running without any assistance but that’s simply not the case. Unless you’re able to service a watch yourself, a far less stressful option is to buy from a reputable seller like Past2Present - whose watches are not only fully serviced but also carry 12 months warranty. As many other reviewers have commented, customer service is excellent with many nice touches. Steve is clearly a man in love with watches and is great to chat to if you need some guidance. I recommend this company 100% and may even pay their website a return visit! Finally, at a time when watchmakers are getting very thin on the ground, Past2Present are doing a great job in preserving these skills- in case you need another reason to buy from them!

My Seiko 6106c 8560 is in exceptional condition for an example over 50 years old, having been more than fairly described, and arrived well-packed the very next day. The price was more than fair too.

I especially appreciated some nice details - the watch was wound and set correctly, including day and date, and there was a personally signed note and receipt within the black leather style watch box.

Best of all, when I had a quick question about adjustment of the strap, there was a helpful UK based human-being on the other end of the phone!

This and the signed one year guarantee all instil great confidence and I will no doubt be all too tempted to keep an eye on their other items....

Pictures were accurate, description was good and they replied quickly to a comment on the watch before purchase. Arrived very well packaged and quickly. Some unexpected extras- a case and couple of straps. Watch has been great since unboxing. Very happy.

Not received the parcel yet but

I'm sure that if you were to ask him Steve would describe me as a 'discerning, enquiring customer who knows his own mind'. He is both polite and diplomatic.

I'd say that I was probly a bit of a nuisance, asking questions and wanting to know about the processes that the watches underwent before they were sold.

Steve impressed on more than one front; he answered my emails quickly (we all like that, don't we?), and rather than being annoyed by my nosy queries he used them as an opportunity to answer all of my concerns, thus allaying any worries that I might have had; I'm from a generation that does not automatically trust everything that I see online - closer to the exact opposite, TBH (I have been described as a mistrustful old scrote!).

Further when asked for a 'group price' for a small group of either three or four watches Steve offered what I thought were very fair prices that I was happy to accept.

Finally, I was buying watches that were not what a lot of people would describe as 'top end' (I have a small collection of mechanical Japanese watches from 1960 onwards, SEIKO, Orient, Ricoh, & Citizen) - and even though I was not buying Rolex, Omega, or Breitling type marques Steve did not make me feel like some kind of poor relation.

I bought some watches on Thursday afternoon, about 1pm: they were delivered Friday morning at 09:25.

The packing was excellent, and I mean EXCELLENT, not only were the watches incredibly well protected from shocks and knocks they came in a roll that was never mentioned (and was not charged for as a separate item), that has now been pressed into service for three of my other watches.

Taken as a whole, and it must be borne in mind that my background is in the Audit of Sales Quality and Compliance, (F2F, F2B, B2B, and Distance/Remote Sales), so I tend to look at the minutiae of a sales process that might be missed by prospects who don't have my experience, and I am happy to declare myself very happy, completely satisfied even, with my entire experience of buying from Past2PresentWatches, and I will be keeping an eye out on their site to see if they get any interesting Grand Seikos in
