Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 80 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about extremely long phone wait times, unhelpful automated systems, and rude customer service agents who often disconnected calls or failed to resolve reported problems. Consumers also described receiving persistent, frustrating demands, letters, and constant phone calls regarding bills that were entirely incorrect, already paid, or completely unknown to them. Some reviewers were happy with the assistance they received, noting that polite staff members offered empathetic guidance, placed accounts safely on hold, and successfully helped set up manageable, affordable payment plans to relieve financial stress and anxiety.

Very profesional

PastDue were very professional when dealing with my case. They were also very sympathetic and understood my circumstances and helped me set up a repayment plan which was both affordable and which gave me peace of mind. I genuinely and wholeheartedly recommend PastDue.

1 Star as no option for zero stars:
100% Harassing morons.
Chasing a fictitious debt from Eon Next, who are also a bunch of scammers too.
I have no contract with either of these clown companies, yet they persist in weekly txts, emails, even a mailshot or two.
Demanding payments from the get go is no legal way to conduct any financial kind of business.
+44 txts, so clearly outside the UK, just block & ignore these morons, no genuine company conducts itself in this manner, total scammers.

chasing payment that has already been paid

Scottish power have employed this company to chase an amount from us that has been fully paid and should never have been categorized as a dept.
We have explained this several times and sent a screen shot of the bank transfer. However, they are insisting that we pay the amount that has already been paid.

Absolute idiots

I have never ever in all my years dealt with such idiots. The operators who I am sure are based off shore, Nairobi maybe? their English is abismyl and any and all conversations lead to frustration. My phone will ring; it's them; I hold in a queue for 20+ minutes to go through an issue with one of their agents. All resolved? no as the idiot has not updated the log note so I still get calls. When you call in, their automated call handling system cannot find the number you are calling in from their records.....this is the same number they call you on..

Seriously 0/10, bad English, incompetance and pure stupidity. They need closing down.

PAST CARING

So wish I could give this load of uneducated idiots ZERO *. My husband retired & closed hus budiness June 2020. After receiving reminders from Waterplus we sent ALL docs to them inc the last PAID water bill- APRIL- MARCH 2020 (so in fact THEY OWE him 8mths!!) . We're now receiving reminders from this shower of Muppets, known as Pastdue credit solutions. My husband rang them, only to be told they couldn't find him on Companies House.....HEELLLOOO, that's because his business no longer exists!! Tried emailing them with all proof, but it just bounces back. Now received another reminder,so phoned & unfortunately spoke to another idiot, who put the phone down on me, as all I wanted was an email to send all proof!! Well, Pastdue, we're PASTCARING!!!!

This afternoon was almost comical

This afternoon was almost comical - the girl I spoke to was intrusive, asked endless stupid questions, was more than willing to seriously hack off this customer, and all for a £20.71 bill, apparently from Three Mobile Phones which they couldnt even give me the phone number for which I was being chased.

How proud these guys must be to rank with a score of just 1 out of 5!!! Ditto the staff.

Bunch of clowns at best. Avoid.

If I could leave less stars I would

If I could leave less stars I would. My 86 year old mother started getting letters addressed to me from this sham of a company.
I rang them and explained I don't live there, but the letters have continued.
I then spoke to Sky and they hadn't heard of them and have not authorised them to contact me, so they are breaking GDPR and obtaining information illegally.
Sky told me not to have any contact with them and only speak to Sky directly.
I have reported them to trading standards.

Don't care about people with poor mental health

I admit to owing the grand sum of £26.59,guilty as charged but wow this company is forever on you re case,I understand I have a debt to pay but I could nt use the website today to pay it,I had a message conversation (ongoing for days complete nonsense)asking the same questions,I asked for someone to ring me but I didn't have that.i kept telling them the bill would be paid today but they kept completely ignoring that. I told the gentleman my mental health state but he still went on and on.im on anxiety pills valium as I'm so bad and I can't take it,it's a horrible company to deal with. Iv had better treatment for the council office in the past.they don't make it easy for you to pay it,I can't ring because of my anxiety and the website is useless,I'm not happy with the Way I Been dealt with. Its harassment and could very well send some people to suicide, very uncaring company indeed, thank goodness I have a lovely debt collector for my credit card payment, they could nt be more helpful, sort yourselves out it's 2025 People with mental health is larger than ever and is growing, get on board

HMRC never heard of this company.

13th August 2025 2.45pm

Having just spoken with HMRC directly and made a payment, they have never heard of Pastdue.

They have been harassing for payments for months.

If you owe HMRC, pay them directly online, you do NOT owe this company anything whatsoever.

Nothing more.needs to be said

Helpful, transparent and human

My dealings with them on behalf of a family member who has been ill have been very good. They have been sympathetic and gave me ways to send through appropriate evidence. Holds were put on the account when i got in touch and then the account was subject to breathing space. Then got in touch and given various options of how to resolve. Fortunately was able to settle in full and a staff member took me through this. Just awaiting confirmation email of this to land. So far they have been very helpful and easy to deal with but I did keep in regular contact especially on receipt of written comms that came through the post

Harrasment!

Harrasment!

I cleared my debt with Eon when I moved house, I have informed at least 6 different people at PDCS of this and they all confirmed they would remove me from the system. However, 2 months later and I still receive multiple calls a day. Disgusting company and disgusting behaviour.

Persistent harassment by HMRC

Persistent harassment in respect of a small HMRC penalty of around £200 that I will simply not pay.

The penalty was computer generated on technicality. Had an estimated payment on account removed but when I filed my tax return and paid a large bill on time and in full, HMRC decided to issue a penalty despite payment on account figure being of a very similar amount.

It is not fair for self employed to pay a large sum in advance of earnings when this money is needed to fund future work. HMRC should also make the process much easier and the computer won’t just send letters to generate revenues.

Stop trying to call me because my disability simply won’t allow me to take the call. All Glasgow numbers are blocked. No, I am not going to lose a day’s pay trying to contact HMRC only to get cut off or told they cannot assist etc.

Go and chase the large corporations and HNWI that haven’t paid their taxes! Keep sending letters at your cost, it will be returned or recycled!
