Shocking and Misleading Service. I was repeatedly pressured by a representative called Carly to place a bid on a property, receiving around 18 calls insisting that the seller would accept almost any offer. I placed two reasonable bids within my budget, but was continually told that the seller was expecting more and that if I did not bid again the property would be removed from auction indefinitely.
The auction was originally due to end at 12:00, but it was extended by three hours specifically so I could place another bid. During this time I was repeatedly told that this would be the final opportunity and that the seller was waiting for my offer. Based on these assurances I placed another bid and ended up winning the auction, although I felt heavily pressured and misled throughout the process.
Before making any payment I made it clear that obtaining the remaining funds within such a short timeframe would be difficult. I was reassured that there would be flexibility and time to complete the payment. However, after they took £5,000 from me, the property was placed back into auction just two days later without proper explanation.
At no point before paying was I told that this would happen or given any realistic opportunity to resolve the situation. They are now refusing to refund the money.
I believe I was misled and pressured into bidding under false information, and I am now seeking legal advice and preparing to take legal action against Pattinsons. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company.

Prior to bidding, all prospective buyers are advised to carry out their own due diligence and ensure they are comfortable with the process and terms before placing a bid, as doing so enters them into a legally binding contract.
Any funds relating to reservation fees and deposit liability are clearly outlined within the auction terms and conditions, which all bidders are required to review and accept prior to participating. Once the property has exchanged, any matters relating to failure to pay or complete fall between the buyer and the seller, with our role being to facilitate the auction process on behalf of the vendor.
We can also confirm that this matter was previously reviewed and addressed prior to this review being posted. While we regret that you remain unhappy with the outcome, we must highlight that the process followed was in line with the legally binding contract and terms that were accepted at the point of exchange.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best moving forward.

Dan, Sue and the team at Houghton
Recently sold and bought another property through the Houghton branch.
I was previously on with another estate agent but not having very much luck with them. Dan came out promptly to and took fantastic photos of the property and a 360. The team had our property sold in 2 weeks!
As for buying another house, Sue and the team done a fantastic job of helping arrange viewings and putting forward my offer for the house I’m buying.

I had won on one peice of land very cheap and their fee was 6 time higher then price of land.
They were very pushy for payment I got suspicious when went to see the land there was any land access by land to reach this peice of land. Land was surrounded by and other land which belongs to some one els.farmer told me they are busy with this activity since 3 years and trapping people get bunch of money with legal method and when people pay and go land they find out there is no land.so avoide avoide avoide and tell ur friends and family

Terrible
Terrible. Premises rented to my son in such a state of what I can only call neglect to the point of dangerous. At no point have they admitted any sense of responsibility for this or that issues raised were of concern. Beware before renting from them and complete any safety checks yourself including the whole property if taking a flat or studio apartment.

You make a purchase in good faith, only to find some years down the line, that the information pertaining to the property was not true.
When you contact them to raise the issue of having been sold property under false pretences, they will have a tendency to remove blame from themselves. Even though they have not done their own research prior to selling a property on.
Always make sure, that you are provided with the facts, rather than listening to a company, that makes its living from the misery of unsuspecting buyers having being duped into purchasing a property, where the details to that property are false,as pattinson's in their wisdom will not accept liability, once they have off loaded that property on to you during sale.
