Worst hamburger I've ever had.

Was was told that if I wanted a good hamburger in the UK I should try Patty and Bun. So entered the Brighton branch with high expectations but was bitterly disappointed. The overpriced hamburger I ordered was a tasteless, lukewarm mess with a puddle of liquid, orange cheese and the limpest, smallest piece of lettuce I've ever encounted. The patty was bland and cold and staff very offhand. Worst hamburger Ive ever had. Avoid like the plague.

Dreadful

Dreadful. Couldn't be helped that the restaurant was freezing cold inside and when we made a light joke of it (while piling on coats and hats) the staff were disinterested. Flippant service, and as far as the food went - greasy bun, cold chips that had an odd fish taste to them.. avoid the Brighton branch at all costs.

Lori Patty and Bun Liverpool Street pls forward this to her.

Lori and her beautiful red hair. I would love to give a huge thank you to Lori at Patty & Bun Liverpool Street Station for delivering such an outstanding experience. From the very beginning, Lori’s warm and friendly approach created such a welcoming atmosphere, which is not always easy to find in such a fast-paced, busy location. She greeted me with genuine enthusiasm and a smile that instantly lifted my mood, and throughout my visit she showed incredible attentiveness and professionalism. What really stood out was the way she combined efficiency with a personal touch, she was quick, organised, and clearly skilled at managing a high-energy environment, yet still took the time to make sure my order was exactly right and that I felt well looked after. She even checked in with me after serving to make sure everything was perfect, which really shows how much she cares about customer satisfaction. Lori’s energy, kindness, and positive attitude brought a special touch to my experience and turned a simple meal into a memorable one. Staff like Lori embody the best of hospitality making customers feel valued, appreciated, and eager to return. She is a real credit to the Patty & Bun team and deserves recognition for the fantastic service she provides.

Brighton was worth the visit

Happened across the Brighton branch in the lanes. Staff were happy and helpful, pointed out the deals without prompting and our food was cooked to order. Rosemary salt fries were very tasty. The tables were a little tight and the service charge was 12.5% automatically added, but given the overall price and quality of the meal it wasn't that much of an issue. Would be happy to eat there again.

It's a scam if you order through Just Eat.

Check how much your paying before you hit that button marked Pay.

I went to place an order today from the Hackney branch through Just Eat.
They advertised all burgers as two for, buy two, the cheapest is free.

Went right through to the point where I had to hit the button marked pay, decided not to as it was clearly showing I would pay full price.

I have no issues paying full price but to advertise a discount front and foremost on the site and refuse to honour it. I wonder how many others have been scammed this way.

No thanks, I'll spend my money elsewhere with someone who will actually charge me the advertised price.

Not commenting on the food, but offers like this con people into paying more than they expect to.

It's nothing other than a scam, plain and simple.

Awful

Went to the Hackney restaurant, which I’ve been to loads of times and enjoyed. However, this time the music was too loud, the service was snail-like, the food was lukewarm and I was given the wrong order. When I complained, I was still charged the full price.

Oxford Circus Branch - AVOID

Oxford Circus Branch:

They served bacon instead of pancetta... frozen chips... too salty as well.

Moreover, CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED.

I had to spend 15 minutes after my lunch going around other shops asking to get change and give P&B the exact cash amount, so, one of the waiters would pay for it with their own card and keep my cash.
This is the future that is looming to tech civilisation.
I usually go around with my debit card but not this time. How can this happen in 2024?
We all have to boycott businesses that only accept cash, it is NOT IN OUR INTEREST. It is for authorities to CONTROL EVERYTHING.

If you don't understand this statement please go and learn about it. And wherever you go, bring always cash and refuse to pay with card if requested.

I am happy to pay with card if the option of cash is also there. If I am only given the card option, then, we have to reject that.

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed - Food Poisoning Incident Handled Poorly

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Patty & Bun - Canary Wharf. After dining there on July 4th, I began experiencing severe vomiting and diarrhea just a few hours after eating a burger and chips.

I reported the incident to the restaurant, hoping they would take my concerns seriously and investigate thoroughly. Unfortunately, their response left much to be desired. They informed me that their investigation did not find any issues with their food safety practices and that no other complaints had been received. Despite my severe symptoms, they dismissed my concerns without any further action or compensation.

Adding to my frustration, I did not receive any helpful guidance or support on how to proceed with my complaint. As a result, I am now seeking medical advice to document my symptoms properly and reporting the incident to local health authorities.

It’s incredibly disappointing that a well-known establishment like Patty & Bun would handle such a serious issue so poorly. I expected better accountability and customer care from them. I would advise others to be cautious when dining here, as their response to food safety concerns appears to be inadequate.

I will not be returning to Patty & Bun and will share my experience to ensure others are aware of the potential risks.

Sneaky Pricing

We attended this place in Canary Wharf for the first time yesterday, went for the lunch time special in the menu priced at £11.95 which was Burger Chips and a Drink,Burger was ok but the chips had way to much salt on them so left most of them, got the bill which was now £15.13 because the drink we asked the waiter for which was included was not the right one and a service charge was added,Good way to switch the price for them won’t ever go back.

Liverpool Street P&B review

Liverpool Street P&B review, do not go to this place. Worst experience ever. The chicken wings were clearly frozen and barely cooked covered in sugar , the burger was small and when advised not to order medium rare because the meat smells. Also , £10 a shot . The spaces are small and you end up sitting with your back behind an open bar , with staff constantly roaming behind. Plus a 12.5 service charge , £121 for 3 burgers and chips .

It was my first time in this place…

It was my first time in this place (Canary Wharf) and likely last. Came in for lunch and it started fine. Woman took my order for take away and said it will be around 10min.. when it was close to 15 min I asked a man how much longer my food is going to be. He said 10-15 min and asked if I’m waiting that long.. well it was almost 15 but I thought fine let’s wait. Then when I noticed people who came in at least 5min after my order was placed got their food and it as still waiting I walked up to a man and said now it’s basically 20min and people who came in after me got their food. The man was not apologetic at all and said he doesn’t care about other ppl. When I had discussion with him again repeating how long I’m waiting and I said they should be watching their timing he asked.. “are u restaurant manager?” What kind of question is that?. He also said they were busy- they were not they were half empty. I actually had 8 years working in restaurants and bars in my life so he wasn’t speaking to a clueless person. It was obvious something was wrong with my order or they forgot to place it in a first place. How they went about it was also shocking - not a way u are treating annoyed and hungry customer with a valid complaint. If that person was the actual manager I am shocked..! When asked what he is going to do about it he offered me free soft drink that I was not interested in. Also patty was completely tasteless and fries were salty. There are much better places around Canary Wharf where you can get great burger for that price!

Horrible place

Horrible place. Forgot an entire item and could care less. Nothing was offered to rectify the situation either. Not sure how bad of a company you have to be to forget an entire item. I will NEVER order again.

Great food. Poor service. Such a shame this brand is now where it is, after many years of greatness bucking the trend..not following the norm in this category. I genuinely thought they were different.

i just had the worst experience at &B Liverpool St. Your customer service staff, with the exception of the lovely eastern european lass, are beyond useless and doing a disservice to your brand. I was sworn at and disrespected and all because 3 members of your team were tired and agitated and didn't give a s**t.

All I wanted to know is whether my burger had been cut in half as I requested. This seemed to be an inordinate amount of effort for most fo your front of house staff at the end of a long shift. I even got berated for picking up my some condiments while I was waiting, with way more attitude than needed. So I was sure to kick off and give them some s**t back, after they gave me so much unnecessary attitude.

Recruit them better, pay them better, train them properly, and treat them better, or I have no choice but to end my loyalty for years and years to this brand. What a shameful customer experience given how this brand used to behave. Great food, terrible overall service, apart from the odd team member, who was kind respectful, cool and communicative. Really not too much to ask for.

It's that simple and I think you know what I'm saying here re. your current culture. Sort it out or I’m gone...don't care how good your burgers taste.
