Looking at 58 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently praise the staff and volunteers for their exceptional helpfulness, professionalism, and dedication throughout the adoption journey. People found the entire process, from application to collection, to be thorough, smooth, and well-organized, ensuring dogs are matched with suitable homes. The organization's deep commitment to animal welfare and the continuous support provided even after adoption are frequently highlighted by grateful consumers. However, some people mentioned dissatisfaction with the home check process, finding it overly intrusive, particularly regarding requests for videos of private areas within their homes. Romanian Rescue Dog - I adopted my wee dog from paw prints to…

I adopted my wee dog from paw prints to freedom 4yrs ago, she is an amazing dog. I'm writing this review to praise everyone who works so hard at paw prints to freedom, for every single dog they have. They make the dogs health, future forever home and the people who adopt the dogs are the right fit for each other. Home inspections are done to ensure it is the right home for the dogs to be. The people who work here have an up hill battle every day but they still provide first class care for their dogs. Was a fantastic day when my Zoe arrived on the paw prints to freedom happy bus. I would highly recommend paw prints if Ur serious about adopting a dog. If I could give more than 5 stars I would

We got our rescue 2 years ago from this amazing rescue. The checks are in depth and as a result, may take longer than another rescue to get your dog, but this is because the dogs are the number one priority as they should be. Many of the dogs are street dogs and some have suffered trauma. The support and guidance you get from them is huge and in the end you’ll be proud as punch when you end up with a confident and loved dog. This takes time and effort but it is worth every bit of it.

I have had my first foster dog through…

I have had my first foster dog through pawprints2freedom. She was only 7 months old when she arrived. I had a room separate from the living space and I can see why this is so important. This scared little pup took 3 days before she felt safe enough to come out of her crate and another 4 days before she would come out of the dining room. She is now a happy pup that loves to spend time with the family and my dogs. She only took 2 weeks to house train, she's learnt to walk on a lead and has now found her forever home
I will definitely be fostering again

Experience of a difficult household

The team are super helpful and caring. Yes they are thorough but if you are willing to make changes and improvements then you will get the perfect dog ❤️ It took us a few months as we had to wait due to us having 4 house rabbits so getting a dog who could be managed with these was important, even though we had previous dogs with reactivity and health issues. They do lots of testing for the dogs to get the right personality to match and can cat and child test. We got ours rabbit tested as they were in foster who took them to Pets at Home. They have provided continuous support after adoption too and given advice on training and behaviour.
The dogs are more likely to be nervous or have behavioural quirks so it takes a little more time but seeing them blossom is well worth it 🌸

I cannot praise this amazing rescue…

I cannot praise this amazing rescue enough, iv recently rescued one of their dogs. The whole process and home check was so easy and relaxed from choosing a dog to suit me. This rescue and the people that run it go above and beyond to help these dogs. They were always available when I had any questions or queries, keep up the fabulous work x

I’m a failed foster parent proud to…

I’m a failed foster parent proud to admit it! I’m adopting her after a couple of weeks fostering the sweetest little girl ever.
PP2F have been amazing. I was given so much information along the way. I don’t have a huge 6ft fence but they worked around it . She was brought over and as I was away she went to another foster family for 2 days so I could get her. Added me to a WhatsApp group for questions and support and general admiring of my girl.
She has the most beautiful temperament and loved by everyone. Definitely recommend this charity

Our rescue dog experience

We rescued a beautiful soft soul from this charity and have had lots of support throughout the adoption process. When we went to visit Patch you could tell straight away how adored he was by the kennel staff and the volunteers and how much effort they put into looking after all the animals there. We have regular check ins and ongoing support which has felt really reassuring as this is our first dog! We wouldn't hesitate recommending PPTF to anyone, thanks so much for all your help.

I have just adopted my second dog…

I have just adopted my second dog through Pawprints to Freedom. They are my first choice in rescue after I got my first dog 2 years ago. The process is very thorough and this can take time but please don't be put off. This is to ensure the dogs go to the right home and all the admins are doing their very best. They're a lovely bunch.
My first dog was from the Nantwich kennels and we quickly discovered was fearful reactive to both unknown people and dogs. We've been working on this with a behaviourist and he's doing so well. At home he's the cuddliest most loving little boy and my life has changed for the better since having him in it. He's not an easy to dog to have, we've learnt so much from him but I wouldn't change him for the world. He just needs love and patience.
We've only had our second dog for a couple of days, from the Essex kennels, but she is everything as described and more. Settling in very quickly, a total goofball and complete love bug. She's a perfect fit for us and with a bit of time and love she's going to blossom ❤️
These dogs really are something special and this rescue is amazing for keeping them safe and finding them a loving home to go to. I would highly recommend this charity. Please give these dogs a chance 🫶

Pawprints are a great charity to adopt with. They are extremely thorough throughout the process which is reassuring knowing that they want their dogs to go to the correct homes, they clearly care very much about the dogs they look after. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They are very responsive during the transport process and we are just over the moon with our new addition, Oscar. We would also like to give Anne, our admin, a mention. She has been incredible throughout and has really helped us throughout this journey.

Great charity, dedicated volunteers

Great charity, with very dedicated volunteers who obviously love the dogs they care for. The trips to Romania are very challenging where they want to rescue every dog which is not always possible. They always do their best for the dogs, they are so dedicated. The vetting process is thorough which is how it should be. Please don't say you want a dog if you are not prepared to put in the time to support your rescue. All the dogs want is to be loved and given a change. We love our rescue Zarby.

Welfare, kindness and love is their priority

Excellent, process I have two dogs from this charity and each time there checks have been conducted professionally, as it had been over two years since my first check had been done I was asked to do it again. Fair enough on the second time around I was asked to provide a video of upstairs, to which I naturally inquired why? They were more then happy to answer the question, and from the answer I was given, I was more then happy to oblige.
If your serious about rescuing a vulnerable animal you will be more then happy to oblige with the information
The volunteers aren't there to judge your life style, how you chose to live, they just want to ensure the animals welfare is being maintained and is going to be safe in the home.
The volunteers think of these animals as there own and want the best possible outcome for the animals, who alot of the animals have already endured cruelty at the hands of humans.
This charity is amazing in what they do I have personal fostered and adopted from them and will continue to do so in the future.
Great job you all do keep it up X X

My Dog's Journey

Pawprints to Freedom helped me go from looking from afar at a picture on their rescue website of a dog of interest to me , to actually holding this dog for real in my arms. This has been an experience I will always cherish. The process to adopt or foster is clearly laid out step by step so I knew pretty much what to expect when my girl arrived. Allowing her to familiarize herself at her own pace with everything and everybody in her strange new world gradually built up her confidence. In the beginning she was particularly afraid of going outside anywhere far from the house. Home seemed the only safe place to be. Walks were quite short to begin with. Adding a few metres each attempt I am happy to report that with patience, encouragement and lots of reassurance that walkies always ended up back home, she slowly lost her fear and now is the bold intrepid explorer taking me on long walkies !!. She so enjoys going new places that she leaps into the back seat of my car with great anticipation. What a girl. My advice. Take all the time needed to help your dog become the terrific dog she or he was meant to be.

We adopted our dog Cloud from Paw…

We adopted our dog Cloud from Paw Prints to Freedom and honestly, we couldn’t be more grateful. From start to finish the team were supportive, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to the animals in their care. Cloud came to us nervous and unsure, but thanks to the care she received before adoption and the guidance we were given, she settled into our family beautifully.

The communication was great throughout the process — always clear, friendly, and full of advice when we needed it. You can tell this charity isn’t about rehoming dogs quickly; it’s about doing it responsibly and with love.

We’re so thankful for everything they’ve done for Cloud and for us. If you’re thinking about adopting, fostering, or supporting this charity — do it. They’re truly wonderful people doing an amazing job 💛🐾

First rescue - big success!

I adopted my first ever rescue with help from PawPrints 2 freedom and the experience was amazing. The volunteers are so kind and knowledgable. I had multiple phone calls and a video call to understand what dog would be right for me to find my perfect match. A wonderful charity who works hard to improve so many dogs lives - thank you!
