I do not know how this place has not got bad reviews. It's clearly a massive scam project. My inbox is full of scam emails saying how they've logged in and locked my account and stuff yet I don't think I've ever even bothered with paxful. Stay very clear. Dangerous scam place

Absolutely terrible , use Kraken instead. Paxful has no customer support besides the Live Chat Bot, I can't recover my account it's not sending me a recovery email. they're charging me fee's for no reason I don't even use Paxful. AVOID THIS PLATFORM .

I am posting this as a 5 star review to alert everyone to the fact this is fraudulent company set up to take money from trusting people. The method is simple. You think they are trading as your broker using signals from geo political events etc. You think you can see their trades. You are looking at their server only. Then they say- Have some of you profits to make you think you can liquidate your profits. You cant. You then think you can see them transferring a lot of bit coin to your Wallet. It’s fake coin. Then they send a fake email from Blockchain for a ‘fully refundable’ £13k security deposit. Stop there. But if you, like me are daft enough to do so....you will be asked for a £6k notary fee.and so it goes on until you wake up and want to die for being such a fool and depriving your family of £1,000’s you will never get back.

Avoid avoid they are trying to scam you they are trying to scared you to pay theme company even though you haven’t join to theme. This company is full of scam people and don’t believe what they said just remember if is seem to true think twice before you do it or ask someone .

These are all scammers and they will loot your money by initiating a fake trade offer and dispute the call. After some time your account will be locked and your coins will be gone. They don't provide any security for your bit coin transfer

I was just robbed,

I made a purchase of $189 USDT using Skrill and sent the seller the money to the email address it specified but the seller said the money never arrived, I recorded my phone screen, provided transaction details and even offered access to my Skrill account but the moderator wanted a confirmation from Support that the payment was made.

It's been almost 24 hours and I'm still waiting a reply from Skrill support. However, the moderator just closed the case and awarded the seller without even following up with me.

I've been using Paxful for several years already and never and issues, the seller had 9 positive reviews but even that wasn't enough...

Beware of using the site and use small amounts if you are purchasing from new sellers, stick with those you are familiar with.

I had a 2FA security setup for both logging in and authorizing transactions but still somehow I got scammed through phishing. The person i was selling crypto to logged into my account account and released the crypto without sending me the money.
Support offered zero help and my account ended up being frozen after I complained on their discord.

Nun, man sagt, dass es viele Scammer auf Paxful gibt, doch Paxful ist m.E. selbst ein Scammer. Ich wollte die USDT die ich gekauft habe, von Paxful an die Wallet-ID des Empfänger senden. Die eingegebene Wallet-ID stimmt 100%. Alles mehrfach kontrolliert. Der Transfer ist seit 3 Tagen Pending. Der Support sagt es sei aurledigt aber ind der Blockchain findet sich nichts, also ist kein Transfer ausgelöst worden. Weiter bekomme ich nur nichtssagende auskünfte vom Suppert und Ratschläge von Kontrollen, die man als erstes durchführt. Dazu brauche ich keinen Support.
Was hiert angeht, das nenne ich Betrug und Diebstahl. Also Finger weg von dieser Firma.

They say there are many scammers on Paxful, but in my opinion, Paxful itself is the scammer. I tried to send the USDT I purchased through Paxful to the recipient's wallet ID. The entered wallet address was 100% correct - I checked it multiple times. The transfer has been 'pending' for 3 days now. Support claims it's completed, but there's no trace of it on the blockchain - meaning no transfer was ever initiated. All I get from support are meaningless responses and advice about basic checks that anyone would do first. I don't need support to tell me that.

This is what I call fraud and theft. Stay far away from this company."

A few days ago, while doing a transaction—selling bitcoin through my Paxful account—I ran into an issue with the 2FA authentication during the transfer. I got stuck halfway and couldn’t complete the transfer, which caused a dispute. It wasn’t intentional, but it happened because of the long wait for account verification when accepting the payment. After some time, I received an email saying that bitcoin had been transferred from my account, but I neither got the money back nor could I log into my account. When I tried to reset my password, it asked for 2FA, which I don't know how to access. It wasn’t working with my Google Authenticator, and when I contacted Paxful support, they banned my account. I understand that the dispute led to the loss of my coin, which I had placed for trading, but when I asked Paxful support how to recover the remaining money in my wallet, they said there was no money in my account. I know I had it in my account. How can they make transactions without my permission? When I complained about this, they stayed silent after banning my account. I don't know if it is their own fraud tactics or if the platform is irresponsible to the customers.

This website is extremely good for getting money from crypto or selling crypto to get money in the form you like.
But it needs more better detection systems to get rid of scammers who always try to scam people.

Paxful do their worst by ripping me I transact $197 with buyer on their platform,te scammer did not release my find in naira I did not release usdt but paxfil went ahead to release it for the buyer infact I'm so crazy to see that what binance can not do be that

My money has been frozen on this site for 3 years for an unknown reason, and they don't even tell me the reason because I didn't do anything wrong. When I was about to withdraw my money, I suddenly got a message saying it was frozen, and no matter how many emails I send, they don't respond. In fact, they stole my money very easily. Be very careful.

In addition, I have to tell you that 80% of the buyers on this site are scammers, and even when you ask for support, they cooperate with the scammers and say that the problem is yours.

A buyer did his very best to scam me, he opened a dispute as soon as I questioned how he supposedly sent the funds.

He said he sent funds but did not provide any real proof, just some blurry screenshots which made no sense. He claimed Paxful blur them on purpose, LOL.

He got very aggressive and rude in chat from this point on.

Once I said I had provided a video of the banking app screen to moderators he backed off real quick and cancelled the dispute. He did not want to play any more. The BTC was released back to my wallet.

If he did not cancel the dispute the outcome would then be in the hands of the moderators, i really have bad feelings about how this would have played out. Many negative comments about the Paxful moderators in these reviews that raises lots of red flags.

He said and i quote “Payment didn't go through somehow, maybe you provided wrong bank details, cancelled” no sorry for the rudeness and time wasting (classic scammer format). I have used the same bank details that's in the Paxful system many times and had no problems with other users.

This user in question without a doubt is a dishonest person, he should be banned to protect other customers from the same scams he is pulling on the honest customers of Paxful.

I do not wish to trade on Paxful again due to this experience. The user is still on the platform although I reported him. So i get the feeling the site has allowed these scammers to infiltrate the platform to very dangerous levels.

Paxful was good before, but now it’s like swimming with sharks, you just can't trust the platform with these dishonest users lurking for a victim.

Paxful are not doing enough to remove scammers. If i notice this scammer is banned i will update this review.

I was scammed by a vendor. Paxful ignored my proof and still released the coin. The same vendor had already scammed others, and Paxful did nothing. Be careful.

Paxful.com is a fraudulent company. They try to put up a show like they're trustworthy but behind the scenes, they have an agenda to rip you off. They arbitrarily freeze your funds. Their CEO says he needs money to build schools so he steals people's money and claim to use it to build schools?

They also have certain users that they put in place to open trades, design payment slips and assign a moderator will be assigned to release your dispute without hearing from you. From my experiences, I realised the moderators and by extension, paxful platform are working with these fraudsters judging by the way they handle the disputes

BTC Sent to Paxful Wallet Address — Still Not Credited After 11 Confirmations

I sent Bitcoin to my Paxful BTC wallet address on June 24, 2025. The transaction has 11+ confirmations on the blockchain and was sent to the correct Paxful-generated address (3N88TxBxAw4EkACcoTfrfufgTMpEVcWfvZ), but my Paxful wallet still shows a 0 balance.

I submitted a support ticket but have not received any resolution or meaningful response.

This is very concerning since the funds are confirmed on the blockchain. I need Paxful to credit the transaction to my wallet immediately.

I’ve been trying to remove 2fa from my ID verified Paxful with ($5500) balance , which I created years ago. I contacted them from the same email I used to register the account. I provided:

✅ Verified government-issued ID (showing current date)

✅ A selfie with the ID (showing current date)

✅ Screenshots of my banking and email apps
✅ Detailed answers to their security questions
✅ Proof of usage pattern

✅ national identification number (NIN)

They told me my identity is verified, yet they still denied me access — claiming they “can’t confirm ownership” unless I provide a phone number from 7–8 years ago, which I no longer have due to the fact that I was locked out for over 7 years

They’re holding my account even after verifying my ID and confirming I’m using the registered email — while charging monthly maintenance fees of $50

I’ve filed two CFPB complaints, and Paxful is still refusing to act fairly. No scammer would be able to do all I’ve done. This is wrong.
