It's my third experience with online payments providers during my career and I prefer Paylike above the others - it masters an instant and transparent transaction setup, is very responsive and supportive in communication. I hope it will stay this way and recommend to other online shopping websites.

Great service

Play nicely and your customers will be pleased. In my Woocommerce shop more than 50% of the transactions is via credit/debit card. Paylike is a great service and it helps to build this kind of trust.

Paylike does not accept service industries AND they will try to remove your negative review!!

I have applied for Paylike and supplied all necessary documents for a web design company website. They requested further confidential documents which are all supplied and satisfied. However, after one day of Account information approved email, they declined my application due to 'Unsupported business'. How come on earth web design is Unsupported business?

As of 21 Jan 2020, I received an email saying that Paylike.io is requesting this review to be removed from Trustpilot! Despite I already send them email for a second review of the application (clearly no reply!).

Just a kind reminder for other customers, if you are new on Trustpilot, keep your email history and screenshot of Paylike application, just in case if they do this on your review!

Dear SW,

I am sorry to hear about your experience with us, and I would like to clarify a few things stated in your review.

First of all, if your application to get an account with Paylike got rejected, it was not due to you being in the service industry, or more specifically in the “web design” industry. We do support most legal and non-regulated service industries, including web design agencies and the like.

As we are not allowed to comment on specific customer cases due to privacy, we can only base our reply on the information you provided in your review.

We do not reject applications often, but when we do, it may be due to:

- the applicant not being able to provide certain documents that are required for us to gather and verify by law (anti-money laundering)
- illegal activity
- above-average credit risk
- regulation, sometimes a business is missing a license in a regulated industry, e.g. gambling

You can read more about how we evaluate businesses here:

https://paylike.io/account/evaluation

You can see what kind of business activity has restrictions and must be evaluated by us before signing up for an account here:

https://paylike.io/account/restricted-businesses

We follow Trustpilot’s guidelines on how to handle reviews. Therefore, when we get a review where we need to take action, we first use Trustpilot’s “Find reviewer” tool to reach out to the reviewer to identify the application. In your case, you did not answer us within the 5-day window Trustpilot gives you. As you did not respond to us via the “Find reviewer” tool, and we have no user in our system named “SW”, we followed Trustpilot’s guidelines and reported the review. Trustpilot is an impartial third party and it is only Trustpilot who can choose to remove a review e.g. if it violates their rules.

Modern interface, good support, good prices

We chose Paylike because they had good documentation on how to handle payments (including tokenization and 3ds) in mobile apps. Prices are good compared to the big players. So far I've been very happy with their customer support. Strong recommend.

Very easy to set up

Very easy to set up.
Patient staff.

I am in, what is classed as a "High Risk" market. The price of the service is what's to be expected for this.

Working with it for 8 months now and and I have had no issues with payments and it is all secure.

Customer service is on point. Any questions where answered quickly. Happy with the service

Takes ages to respond to basic emails

Takes ages to respond to basic emails, wasted a lot of our time and gave near to no reason for refusing our company.

We only got one response from these guys per day (if that!), it took three days (almost a week in total including the initial correspondence) for them to give us the correct requirements JUST so we could upload our documents to be approved.

Not a very helpful company, especially if you're keen to get started as soon as possible.

Dear JR,

As mentioned on our website (https://paylike.io/account/restricted-businesses), we meet every business without political bias.

Unfortunately, not all parties in the payment processing network work in the same manner, and, therefore, certain types of businesses are restricted and require pre-approval by us. Some we simply can not support either due to legal reasons, limits from our payment network, or due to unacceptable risk.

This is specifically not to Paylike, but the payment industry in general. We work hard every day towards supporting even more types of businesses and approve them as promptly as possible.

Amanda, Paylike.

Not worth it.

Not worth it.

I have opened an account with them about 3 weeks ago. In the meantime I have tested their system and noticed it's quite simple. After that I got an e-mail that my business, who sells tours online such as day trips or multidaytrips is a high risk and I will be under analysis. Hold belong, I get rejected because my business is a risk. Although they say that they will help any business including the ones in the adult industry, it seems that the Travel section of selling tours they do not accept. Weird. For adult indistry they can and for selling tours they cannot.

At Paylike, no matter which business segment you are in, we take pride in meeting you and your industry with no political bias.

Every merchant is given a chance, and we evaluate each case. 99% of all regular businesses get their account approved within a few days.

Given the fact that we provide a financial service, there are restrictions, regulations, and laws we need to be compliant with, about which we strive to inform merchants upfront. We collaborate with the card networks and our banking partners, etc. which all have their regulations and through this collaboration, we must be compliant with all requirements, on all levels.

Businesses in the travel/tours organizing segment have a long delay from the moment a customer books a trip/tour and the moment the service is delivered. Long delivery time represents a credit risk for the payment processors. The payment processors are the ones that guarantee the customers/buyers get the services they paid for or get a refund (through chargebacks) if the delivery is not made. Furthermore, if the merchant is unable to deliver due to, e.g., bankruptcy and the payment processor has no way to redeem the funds from the merchant, the payment processor takes the loss. For this reason, most payment processors simply disallow merchants within this segment. As mentioned in the beginning, we do not follow that path and give every merchant a chance; but sometimes, we are not able to support a certain business.

Paylike cannot support all types of businesses yet, but please be aware that we do work actively towards supporting more and more types of business.

Amanda,
Paylike

Just what I needed, great experience and support

All works as should, setup, implementation was quick and easy, verification too. Once set up and integrated, things work like clockwork, so we can focus on other things. Kudos to the great team at the support - they are there in case help is needed.
In short - Been using their service for roughly 2 years. Would recommend them any time.

Great payment provider with an easy-to-use system

Been working with a few payment providers on our webshop so far. However, Paylike seems to be the best and easiest system to use when you are not that into complicated systems with a confusing dashboard.

Also, Paylike is the cheapest provider we have found so far.

Dear Rene,

We are, unfortunately, due to privacy legislation not allowed to comment on specific cases, but I will try to give an overview of what might have happened in your case.

First of all, the most common reason for not receiving a transfer is because there are no funds on your account. That may be the case if you, e.g. have no transactions, do not capture your transactions, if you receive disputes (chargebacks) or if you are using a test account.

The second most common cause is that your account is not approved yet. Before we are legally allowed to transfer funds to your bank account, we must do what is called “KYC” (Know Your Customer). There is a legal set of things we need to collect and verify, e.g. photo identification on all owners and directors of the company, company documents, and so forth. If we have not received those or have not been able to validate them, no transfer of funds is legally allowed.

Read more about account approval here:

https://paylike.io/account/approval

The last case in which we may have to hold back a scheduled payout is if there is an issue with your account. Such an issue could be that you have an excess amount of customers that are unhappy and are requesting refunds. In such a case, we need to ensure that there are enough funds available on your account for those refunds which the cardholders are guaranteed by Visa and Mastercard's rules. That may result in a scheduled payout becoming suspended until we have a full picture of the funds required to honour those refunds.

Please note that more than 99.9 % of all of our merchants never have issues with their account. Unfortunately, a tiny minority of our merchants do experience issues, e.g. they accidentally captured funds for orders they were not able to fulfil, and therefore their customers request refunds. In those rare cases, our customer service is always ready to help.

One of the worst services

One of the worst services. Dont ever use them. They just reject you and say the compliance department thought it was necessary. I found their customer service to be absolutely worst. After you register, they give you an account which they say you can use. Once you get the first transaction, they can block you. They blocked me. I had just started my business and imagine how badly it affected me.

Just go for a better service such as Stripe, 2Checkout, SquareUp or PayPal. They are true to their words and have the best customer service available. Apply for these services and I am sure you wont regret. These services also support Euro payments and two of them also has apps.

Take my advice, it can save you a lot of pain. If you are new to this, use google to find one that is better.

Search "woocommerce payment gateways" and you will get humungus list of payment gateways. Just sign up for any other company.

Answer to the reply: I have a partnership with a UK resident and my business is based in UK. The papers I submitted were from HMRC.

Dear AAK SZN,

I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our handling of your application.

First of all, I must clarify that we are not able to comment on specific applications due to privacy laws. Therefore, we can only comment on the public information you have provided here on Trustpilot.

You have listed on your Trustpilot profile that you are from Bangladesh. That is most likely the reason why we were not able to support your business.

When merchants from outside of Europe apply for a Paylike account without a business license in the EU, unfortunately, we are required to reject the application, as we are only licensed to accept businesses in the EU:

https://paylike.io/account/countries

We, unfortunately, do not have Bangladesh on our current roadmap.

We hope that you have found a suitable provider, perhaps one of the providers you have listed in your review.
