Issues with transportation claims

They instructed me on how to file a claim for transportation benefits. I told the rep how much I'm looking to claim within the same day. Their rep confirmed it won't be a problem.

17 days later I got an apology and an email letting me know they will only reimburse $60 of the $1,244 I claimed because their employee misinformed me.

So, because your employee misinformed me, I'm now out $1,184. Just an apology, no path to an escalation or working it out a different way. Their mistake.

Pay"SLOP"city....

My company decided to change their payroll company from Paycor to Paylocity and since then it has been nothing short of disgraceful. Direct deposit goes to cash app account so it is available two days early which is Tuesday as payday is Thursday. With Paycor, check was deposited without fail anytime between 6 and 7:30 Tuesday night. Now, with Pay"SLOP"city, check is deposited anywhere from 11:00 at night Tuesday night to 1:30am Wednesday morning. And more often than not, closer to 1:30am. That being said, if my direct deposit was to go into a regular bank account (TD Bank, PNC Bank, etc.), my check would not be available to me until FRIDAY morning which is NOT my payday. Thursday is my payday and the fact that PaySLOPcity cannot respect the fact that a company who is paying multi millions to represent them as their payroll company pays their employees on a particular day and that their job is to ENSURE, EVERY PAY PERIOD, WITHOUT FAIL that their employees receive they pay WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PAID, not only enrages me, but it flat out disgusts me. The inconsideration and the lack of ability to follow through with the requests to have employees paid ON THE DAY THEY ARE GUARANTEED TO RECEIVE THEIR PAY is just plain disrespectful and shows that they have no care as to whether they are following through with the request of the company paying them and paying employees ON TIME AS INSTRUCTED. It makes my stomach turn to think about how unfathomably in breech of contracts they are let alone the fact that these employees work their asses off and deserve nothing short of perfection ESPECIALLY WHEN DEALING WITH PEOPLE'S LIVELIHOOD. We have and to alter every one of our bills that have been returned due to insufficient funds as a result of SLOP'S negligence and blatant disregard for the companies that THEY WORK FOR. Just 100% disgraceful and I only hope that companies begin to make major moves toward finding them in breech of contract and take legal action against them for not following SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS ON WHEN THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE TO BE PAID. This is not a difficult thing to accomplish, which clearly means that it's anything other than a bottom line matter of "we don't give a "$&@!;" and we're gonna pay your people whenever the hell we get to it". Do yourselves a favor Pay"SLOP"city and either shape up or ship out because the only thing your company is going to see from those with any type of association to your company is a consistent string of people complaining that they are just as sickened by your company's disregarding and disrespectful policies and procedures as I am. My fingers are crossed that my company sees through your unethical methods and drops you faster than I could write this review. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

My Fave

I'm super surprised at all of the bad reviews! Paylocity is my favorite payroll/HRIS, I love it! It is easy to use, easy to set up, very intuitive and you get a lot for the money. I recommend it to any small business.

Been doing payroll for 30 plus years

Been doing payroll for 30 plus years. This was great software back when it was Ameripay. They went public and it's compartmentalized worse than Paychex and ADP. --They are actually better. There is no support, you can't call anyone for help. I really wish that I had selected something else. I cannot understand the reviews saying this is great software -- it's not and you will need to do all oft he work to add things yourself!!!!!!

Paylocity's customer service is non-existent

I have never submitted an application for any specific job through Paylocity, yet, after completing 8 pages of an application & clicking "next," it outlined my email address & told me that I've already applied.
Never happened!
The prospective employer has not been able to resolve this issue for 3+ weeks, and I cannot get through to a human at Paylocity to get this fixed. I even tried Sales as it was the only way to talk with a person, and that person blamed me for not going through the employer that, as noted above, has been unable to get this resolved with Paylocity.
I am locked out of a job because of Paylocity!

Stay Away - Horrible

Run away from Paylocity they are horrible. We started with Paylocity after multiple promises to assist with setting up unemployment tax in several states. We paid extra for these services. After 8 months this has yet to be completed. Problems with drafting unauthorized payments out of our accounts. Huge employee retention and turnover problems at paylocity - we went through 3 account managers in less than a year. If I could give a 0 review I would along with muliple other issues in violation of our servicing agreement.

Garbage glitchy and poor customer…

Garbage glitchy and poor customer service. I absolutely loathe using this system for timesheets. You frequently lose all your entries and are provided 'an error occurred' after painstaking entry of all of your time data and notes etc. It times out without warning and you lose your work. You have to page through sections for each category of time and each project for that specific category. When you copy rows, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. It is buggy, cumbersome and a total waste of time. If you log a complaint, it first needs to go through the HR rep wasting more time and then customer service does not seem to understand the issues or else they are aware of the issues and say, 'yeah, that happens sometimes' There is no zero star option but this software is the worst quality for timesheets. I know my boss hates it for other manager-viewpoint reasons. Nobody wants to track their time because it is such horible software.

Fed Up

Like most here leaving a review; their customer service is horrible. I constantly receive Notices demanding me to take action so they can file tax returns. Each quarter for three quarters now, they require me to log into the taxing agency to authorize them as the TPA or they can'f file timely returns. Each quarter, I waste my time to confirm they have TPA authority and then push back on service. Who confirms they do have authority and this Notice is just a reminder. That's not what the notice states. It states I didn't authorize it and they can't file them. "Reminder" is no where in the Notice and they state they can't file our returns. This is just one issue. Their IT security is a joke as well. You can process a payroll check (with completely funding of it) without any problem or required verification code. However, if want to look up an employees simple phone number, you have to ask for a security code and enter it before it will display if one is in the system. (Keep in mind you can issue payroll checks without it) but you need it to see a phone number!?! Yes, an employee phone number! They claim its for security, but you can find back doors to most everything in their security platform. It's a joke. Everything, except that employee phone number. And lets be honest. I am the one who gave them the phone number. Stupid!...no one will listen to a complaint but they will attempt to sell you more services, claiming it is going to help foster employee relationships. This company is just half baked as their payroll system. You might as well do it yourself.

Customer Service is not their thing!

overall the app is user friendly, the community page is great. If you are the kind of person who knows how to trouble shoot and figure out issues on your own, you will be fine.
If you are the kind of person who needs help with figuring something out, forget it! you will send them a question, they will answer, and before you even have a chance to let them know the answer did or didn't work they are sending you a survey if they resolved your issue. so you write back and say no, and they are like, OH Well, I've got nothing. I have had numerous issues where I needed someone's help trouble shooting, and they don't do that. They are not willing to help find a solution, they give you one, and if it doesn't work, well, that's your problem. We were told we would have someone to assist us, sure they answer the first email, but normally it does absolutely nothing! their service is always my last resort because I now know, it's not going to help.

This company has horrible customer…

This company has horrible customer service. I was told they have a general ledger team but was not told until after the switch that they dont talk to clients. No mistakes get fixed. Even their own employees can manage the system its do complicated. I switched in October big mistake. I have yet to get anything fixed. Time and labor doesnt work employees cant clock in or out most of the time. Support is they send you a number to go to their help center put that number in and watch a video. They do not assist with any fixes. The account manager only communicates by email. Several hours or days in between responses. Im not happy with the system.

Hate this pay app

My app won't let me clock in or out. I was told it's h.r.'s responsibility to activate that on her computer. She did change it but my app still won't let me. Other employees are the same way.
First payday of the new year... they screwed up my check. They tried to fix it the next day and screwed it up again.
This paylocity company...doesn't know what they are doing.
FRUSTRATED !

Received a Call about problems with receiving my medical reimbursement. Told I was verifying the account wrong. Even though verify 3 times and sent screenshots. Tried to explain that I kept getting emails but the person would not listen or let me talk. Rep kept saying I needed to listen and stop talking rude, rude, rude. It's my money and then told I would be getting a paper check. Even though I had an email that my check was being deposited. Not sure if I should wait for 10 days for the check in the mail or if it will be in the bank account. Not helpful and this person maybe shouldn't be in customer service poor representation of the company.

We recently switched from ADP to Paylocity and were very excited about it. The excitement didn't last long. They sell you on a full service experience with all of these perks, when in reality, their implementation process is terrible. The team assigned to us would continuously make mistakes and leave it up to us to fix them. When we pushed back and told them to fix their own mistakes, they took forever. Their customer service is awful. They tell you you will receive a response within 24 hours but the customer service rep won't respond for days. The entire experience from start to now has been awful! Makes me want to go back to ADP. I wouldn't recommend switching to Paylocity. The frustration and poor customer service isn't worth it.
