I have closed my first deal with a customer and they say that i have to build up my selling account before i get the money. On top of that, just found out that the transaction rate is 3,4 % + 0,35cents per transation???? hello? who do you think you are paypal. I am gone as a buyer and as a seller . WORST customer service
Customer Service is ridiculous, they close complaint without reading, avoid responsibility for their own mistakes, and just making fun of customers, but just copying texts which dont even make sence. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I will not leave it like this, will file a complaint against Paypal if they are not willing to resolve their own mess. I was trying for nearly 2 months to resolve this issue directly.
Stolen PayPal account. PayPal don't care.
I received an email from PayPal saying account was subjected to unauthorised use. It was! About €2000 was charged to my account for games. My account then totally disappeared from my computer! I have not been able to logon to PayPal as the website states 'no registered account' after entering my email address. It seems from my credit card provider that my logon was used in the United States and and in Braintree UK This has been ongoing since 26 July 2020. I now have new credit cards. PayPal is a total disaster. They are not contactable in anyway. You need to logon to sent them an email--but I cannot logon!! My account has been completely hijacked by whom I do not know but it is seems various people are able to purchase things before it gets stopped. No Paypal phone number works-- they are using the Pandemic as an excuse to not offer telephone response. PAYPAL SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. They are not capable to run any type of business.

Receipt from eBay clearly in EUR, payed by debit card in EUR (no PayPal account). Was shocked to see the bank balance showing PayPal processed the payment in GBP! This is obviously an illegal activity.
Extremely unreliable company
Extremely unreliable company, without customer service, the one that exists is a outsource joke with absolutely no sense of commitment or responsibility and it makes even the simplest task impossible to resolve. My account was hacked last week, due to unauthorized transaction my money were stolen from my PayPal account, PayPal refuses to investigate what happened and only said replied saying that it was non unauthorized transaction, wgich is nonsense. Stay away from keeping any funds in PayPal wallet, as anything stolen from PayPal wallet will not be refunded by PayPal, but money stolen from your credit card may be refunded by credit card company, while PayPal denying any unauthorized activity, thus allowing criminals to take your money and walk away. My PayPalaccount is limited now and as if my being the victim of PayPals irresponsible attitude, I further made to suffer by PayPals inability to work professionally and greed.
DON'T bother with Pay Pal it not worth the hassle
If anyone out there in cyberland is thinking of using Pay Pal as a paying option stop and read these reviews! I bought an item from eBay €17 and they contacted me to say that they could not authenticate the seller and to contact Pay Pal to let them know and get a refund, however, Pay Pal kicked the can right back to eBay and threw in the bank for good measure the bank kicked it back to Pay Pal and the story goes on, and on with no resolution. we are going around in circles and Pay Pal will not take responsibility and do the right thing to refund my money. I know its only a small amount however it's the principle of the matter as well as the money so the only way we can make these companies pay
attention is to vote with our feet and not use their services and then they will hopefully wake up and smell the coffee!!!!
Terrible support
Terrible support, really the worst I have seen from any company except maybe streamlabs. And that is some achievement.
EDIT: To expand on my previous comment. PP is fine and convenient when you hit that 'checkout with paypal' button. But try and get support from them when things go wrong. And there is a misconception on the 'net that they 'have your back', they do not. Use your own bank and ask them about making online banking safer.

A MONTH LATER!!! WHAT A SCAM! BUNCH OF CON ARTISTS + GANGSTERS!!! I have paid over 600 dollars, over a month ago now for an order which was NEVER SENT, I have email confirmation a month later from the seller that he will not be shipping my item, yet PayPal still won't issue me with a refund. The sellers backed out of the order after taking two payments and then failing to send products for 3 full days, because he did not want to send internationally. We were not happy as one can imagine, so he tells us he won't be sending it out, or sending the refund. So obviously we opened a case!! The seller told me this grand story about how I needed to send it to friends because he didn’t want to incur a fee, he originally stated that he wanted to use V**mo but I live in Ireland so V**mo is not a payment platform out here. From the get go he was unreasonable and demanding about how to send money and then in the end HE NEVER MAILED THE PRODUCT, I HAVE NO PRODUCT AND NO REFUND!! Again what part do you simple minded nincompoops at PAYPAL not understand!! HE REFUSES TO SEND MY REFUND, WON’T ANSWER MY CALLS, WON’T ANSWER MY EMAILS, HAS STOLEN MY MONEY AND PAYPAL HAS ALLOWED HIM TO DO THIS THROUGH YOUR OWN CRIMINALLY RAN ORGANIZATION!!! So since he won’t refund it, and I don’t live in the states, the Jacksonville police said its PayPal’s problem, PayPal says it’s Tyson Pham’s problem, Tyson Pham says he won’t refund my money, so where does that leave me, Rachel Byrne??! Hmmm where does that leave the f**king customer huh?! Over €500 euros stolen from her, 5 kids and currently pregnant, and €500 euros ripped from the mouths of her children?! A very suspicious and bad financial company to deal with. I have been using PayPal for a while now and then. Selling and buying item like ads and records off eBay and Discogs. It's ok for a small sum of item. Then came the Covid-19, so one needed some money to survived so I put up a rare and a limited edition record on eBay which sold at a high price. The moment buyer paid and gone through PayPal, they limited my account and I can't do anything with it. What kind of company is this? I reported and sent them a message but now almost 5 days no reply. Seriously a bad bad company!!! Will need to look up for another option for online deals.
Shocking
Locked my account because I am 'underage'. Not sure where they got that information from as I am over 30. Any attempt to contact them over the last 2 months results in no response.
Do not use
This company should be ashamed of their treatment of their customers. I purchased an item and received a cheap knock off which was not as advertised. When I reported this to PayPal they insisted that the item must be shipped back to China to get a refund but the item I am returning would cost more to ship from Ireland (getting quotes of €40 people plus). Have explained this to them several times, offered to return to them directly and all I get back is the same general email. Do not use this company. They do not have the buyers interests at heart and sellers take advantage of their dispute process.

I have paid over 600 dollars, over a month ago now for an order which was NEVER SENT, I have email confirmation a month later from the seller that he will not be shipping my item, yet PayPal still won't issue me with a refund.
The sellers website claimed to ship same day on orders, yet they failed to send products for 3 full days, then his country went into lockdown, he was also supposed to send us 2 additional products which were not sent from previous order, he sent cheaper versions, not organic versions as we had ordered. We were not happy as one can imagine, so after 4 full days, he tells us he won't be sending it out, only after we contacted him. He conveniently failed to send our new order, plus the 2 products he promised he would replace and then proceeded to tell absolute lies, claiming his country went into lockdown a full 3 days before it did, aka when we placed order. We done 3 second Google search to see his prime minister declare India's lockdown 3 days after this liar claimed it had happened.
He did not and still has not sent my parcel to this day, of course we opened a case with PayPal, these disgusting stain on society of people in which PayPal employs, closed my close because I never provided a tracking number for an order that was NEVER sent out.
I have explained myself thoroughly to PayPal since and they have given have given me the absolute run around, avoiding answering simple questions, avoiding the fact that NO order has been sent out or would be by this seller, even though we have an email from him stating as much, he refuses to send our products and he claims he will not due to our annoyed tone with him 4 days after we placed the order and amazingly, it was a phone call from us that we found out he wasn't going to send our order, he didn't inform us, we had to call and we were very annoyed when he proceeded to lie and the fact he wasn't even going to let us know about it, we made the call.
We were not happy with this seller, obviously and understandably that he hadn't sent our order out and then tried to lie to us about his countries lockdown, a fact that was easily disproved.
Now, he says he will not send anything, yet claims it will be May before he initiates refund because his country is on lockdown, despite the fact that all he would have to do is a few strokes on a keyboard but apparently he cannot do this because he's on lockdown?? Have you ever heard of anything like it?

I am closing my account immediately after Paypal dishonoring for the first time in 20 years their name and not protecting a buyer (me) from a blatant scam.

The second worst company in the world
The second worst company in the world. The first being eBay. When their website works, it functions poorly. I've been using this website for almost two decades and nothing has improved - in fact I'd say it's worse. When you are forced to use their customer service they are unhelpful. People abuse the dispute system and paypal masquerade behind ebay. You contact Ebay and they masquerade behind PayPal. This company tries to scam you with bad exchange rates unless you opt out - but wait a few months and it will be back to using their exchange rate without telling you! I wonder what their next scam will be.
They don't care I was scammed by Tomtop
Purchased a graphic tablet from Tomtop and they have refused to refund me as the item sent to me is faulty.
As I purchased it through PayPal, I was hoping they would review and resolve the issue and get my money back.
Not the case!!!
After providing PayPal with all the necessary information, images of the faulty item, and anything else they requested, they're responses looked like they haven't even bothered to review and just closed my case. Every time I asked why the case was closed, their answers looked again like nobody is reading or care that one of their clients was scammed.
So disappointing...
