Probably the best

I have been a contractor since 2011 predominantly LTD company, but most recently I have been using Umbrella services since 2021. I joined PayStream in January 2025. I have used many umbrella companies and I have to say PayStream is fantastic, great signing up, switching to different clients. PS take care of this in the portal, claiming expenses and raising invoices is all very easy to do if and easy to speak to on the phone. They also helped me set up my salary sacrifice into my SIPP. No issues at all very happy and would recommend PayStream.

Great Umbrella Company

I have used paystream for the past year and will be for the next year. They are always available on the phone (which is unusual today!). Whenever you email a very quick turn around. Great to deal with all round.

Started positive 24 down hill fast 26…

Initial Positive Experience
My experience began on a positive note in 2024, with a smooth start and satisfactory interactions.
Problems Upon Rejoining in 2025
However, upon rejoining in 2025, the situation deteriorated rapidly. I was persistently harassed by staff, who repeatedly pressured me to enrol in the salary sacrifice pension scheme. The frequency and intensity of these calls became unbearable, forcing me to block the number and submit a formal complaint. It was only after I threatened to leave that the issue was finally resolved.
Tax Year Complications and Complaints Procedure
Despite using the same tax year, all previous records concerning this matter seemed to have disappeared, resulting in the application of emergency tax. I was informed that this situation could not be rectified, and I am now left waiting for their regrettably inadequate complaints procedure to address my concerns.

Don't use Paystream - Not worth the hassle!!!

I went to Paystream Umbrella Company to provide services to me for a short term contract with a school in the Birmingham area. Paystream had told me that they would deal with PAYE on my behalf and we completed the onboarding process. I was due to start work at the school and the school have told me that Paystream had told them they cannot now process my payments. Paystream did not even have the decency to contact me and let me know this. Don't waste your time with Paystream and go elsewhere for your services

Paystream have been so helpful in…

Paystream have been so helpful in helping me to set up as a private limited company. It's something that's completely new to me so I have really appreciated their guidance. They've been kind, knowledgeable and everything has been explained really clearly.
