Bought a Penfield jacket in Feb 2026 and after wearing it five times the stitching started coming apart. This is the bowerbridge jacket. I thought it was meant to be good quality. Contacted Penfield customer service as unable to return because it was more than 2 weeks. Told Penfield I had a problem with their jacket and it was a quality issue. They just said, sorry go back to your online retailer. Online retailer says go back to Penfield. Penfield were absolutely useless. Considering the jacket is 275 pounds.
I paid around €32 for 16 seconds…
I paid around €32 for AI video generation but only got about 16 seconds of usable content. The AI often ignored my prompts and added unwanted features (that made no sense) and movements, which made most of the results unusable.
Terrible workmanship of a jacket
I bought one of these winter jackets from a retailer and it is awful. A week after I bought mine some major stiching came loose and I had to return it to have it fixed.
Since then this jacket has gone down hill. More stiching came loose and now the "zipper teeth" has become detached from the jacket--no fault of mine.
This is an expensive brand and not worth it. Look elsewhere.
Penfield Bowerbridge Jacket
Bought a Penfield Bowerbridge Jacket. The coat was amazing, quality was great, heavy weight, buttons and zips were really heavy weight. I bought the black one but I want the green one now as I'm so impressed with this one. 😁👍
Wouldn’t purchase using their online store
After 2 failed deliveries due to Penfield neglecting to add the first line of the delivery address I have no jacket and no refund! Nice jacket but the worst online retailer I’ve dealt with.
Customer service my phone not an option. Email correspondence appears to be automated.
Very poor customer service
Items came within allocated timescale! Sizing was way too small - Returned and received by Penfield, with a email clarification but then the problems have started! Several emails issued to Penfield with copies of acknowledgement of goods received and refund timelines? Still awaiting refund! The battle continues!

Bought 2 tops and returned them as the fit was terrible. From paying for the items to receiving a refund took between 21st July - 29th August. 2 emails to chase up payment also.

After weeks of trying to return a T-shirt and not getting a return label sent (due to technical difficulties on their website) I finally managed to get sorted. I returned the item on 26th June and got a confirmation email however I still haven’t received a refund to date..3 weeks later.

Returning packages to Penfield
Returning packages to Penfield has been the most difficult online task I have experienced. A true nightmare.
It has been more than one month of back and forth emails and still no solution, even though I have provided all sorts of information.
Does not feel like a serious company.
If you want to get a headache, buy online at Penfield.
Avoid at all costs
Definitely do not purchase from Penfield. This was once a respectable brand, but it was purchased in 2021 and is now barely a real company. Customer service is outsourced and only available via email and even then it's hit-or-miss whether you'll receive a response. Shipping is done as cheaply as possible via carriers you've never heard of, meaning orders take weeks to arrive if shipping outside of the UK, if they arrive at all. Product quality has also gone way downhill as I'm sure manufacturing has also been outsourced to the cheapest possible sources.
TL;DR: Penfield doesn't exist since it got bought in 2021. It's now just an outsourcing company that does everything as cheaply as possible resulting in a horrible customer experience.

I bought a beanie hat from them, it arrived fairly promptly but the hat itself started to itch and scratch my head after, only a few minutes. It was unbearable, it was obviously made from the very lowest quality acrylic.
I sent two emails to Penfield customer services who didn't reply at all. All they care about is taking your money for sub quality goods.
My advice is to steer well clear of this company.

Won’t refund me my money for returns I sent back!
I’ve returned some items from one order. I sent these returns in two separate posts due to realising I didn’t want other items of the order. I have still received no return 17 days after they received the returns. Now via email they have said they have only got some of the items, even though I have two separate emails saying they have received it all. It’s a total amateur run business. They are trying to fob me off giving me my money back even though even tho they told me originally they have all the return teams back.

I bought a Borg Fleece in the sale which I am extremely pleased with. The quality is good, it has a nice lining and a discreet zipped pocket inside as well as the two main pockets which are also zipped. All in all, it's probably the nicest fleece I've owned. The item arrived within the expected timescales (Royal Mail 48hr tracked) and considering it was ordered over the Xmas period I didn't experience any delays. I tend to buy medium size clothes, however, after looking at the size chart online, ordered a large which was just right
Never received item and contracted them…
Never received item and contacted them 3x times with no response. AVOID!! It looks as though Royal Mail delivered it but it never got to me. I’ve asked for tracking and was hoping for them to claim so I could receive my product again or a refund - but customer service is nonexistent.

This is a borderline scam. I placed an order on Black Friday, and it's nowhere to be seen. Their customer service is limited, and their shipping policy is very loose.
