As someone who write extensively but never published a book, the assistance of Chris Reed has been immensely helpful. I am excited to see what we will accomplish in the future. This is a scam. This is not Penguin Randhomhouse. These people fluctuate in prices based on how big of a sucker they take you to be. Throughout their process, they will continually push you to "up" your package to further price gouge you. In the meantime, they will produce low-quality work at an extremely slow pace. The service is also terrible and inconsistent. I went through two project managers who were equally bad at their jobs. I was also supposed to speak to a "chief strategist" and put aside an hour of my time, and I did not get a call or email for four meetings in a row. Also, they claim to use legit artists for your cover art and will wholeheartedly deny the use of AI, but they're lying. Every cover was a result of AI. If you're looking to publish your first book, do yourself a favor and do the research yourself. Hire a legit editor and a legit book cover artist that don't use AI off of sites like Fiverr. Don't waste your money. All the articles and research are online and available through YouTube videos. I hope this helped someone.

Penguin publishers has been an incredible support for me as a first- time author. The team was patient and attentive, working tirelessly to meet my needs. I have been attempting to find out if they are a legit company out of Washington...So far there are no red flags, but that being said...BBB nor the local Chamber of Commerce has heard anything bad about them. They are currently offering a $594 promotion...so...Hopefully this works or I am out $594 and a awesome manuscript.

Is Penguin Self-Publishing legit? Asking for another writer.

Since there's no way to respond to the Company's reply to my review, I have to post this one to react to their shameless lie. The brazenness of it is astounding:

No. It wasn't a mistake, it wasn't one instance, and it wasn't rectified.

All four of "Their" Authors are misrepresented by random pictures of people, one of them not matching the race/skin color of the actual author, and one not matching the gender. Brian Kilmeade's supposed picture was replaced by another fake photograph, which is not of him, and the original fake image of him is now falsely representing another author and his book gleaned from Amazon.com. I have the screenshots, so stop the bald-faced lies.

Penguin Publishers, while a respected name, has recently exhibited disappointing service. Despite its vast catalog, their customer support has been lackluster. I experienced extended delays in order processing, unresponsive communication, and a general lack of attention to customer inquiries. The once-reliable Penguin has fallen short, leaving me frustrated and reconsidering my support for this publisher.

I don't understand why scammers are everywhere, people trying to find a way to make money but why using other people's advantage. I was assigned to translate a novel, however, they give me 75 pages to finish in 2 days. F*** you. So here they have some hidden agenda to use their what so called premium ID card and pay amount of money for the permission of extending the deadline.....are you kidding us?????? really guys????
