This is a broker, not a mover

This is a broker not a mover.
They can't guarantee anything that has to do with the actual delivery, because they're not the ones doing it. Because they can't guarantee anything, they also won't do anything to help you with the delivery.

It has been more than a month and they still haven't done anything to ensure the movers deliver our goods.

WORSE moving company ever

WORSE moving company ever! They canceled us on the day of our move. We paid 1/2 up front 2 months ahead of time. They were horrible at communication. And when they said they could not help, we were stranded. If I could give zero stars I would. Do yourself a favor and rent the POD.

I used Perennial Van Lines when I moved…

I used Perennial Van Lines when I moved from California to Texas. They are a broker and used a company called Sirius Trucking. They were supposed to be at my residence anywhere from 9:00am - 10:00am on Sunday, 6/20, which was Father's day and they got there around 2:00pm. Patrick quoted me a price and told me that a 16 foot pod wouldn't be enough for all the furniture that I had. He stated that I needed at least a 20 foot truck. When Siruis got done loading everything, they ended up quoting me $2,000 over what Patrick quoted. (I used 22 cubic feet). I tried calling Patrick who has never gotten back to me. I also called Donna and Jessica who said they would get back to me and I haven't heard a word from either of them. I was told that it would be here within 3-14 days as it takes 3-4 days just to get to Texas. (BYW, they start counting the 14 days after the 3-4 days that it takes to get to TX and they only count weekdays)!
I have been in Texas now for over a month and no furniture!! I am working remotely out of my house but I had to buy a chair and small desk so I could work from my empty home.
My son's family also moved to Texas from California using PODS. They left California after me and guess what.....their pod came 8 days after they got here. No scratches, no nothing!! Please consider using PODS as they kept their word!!
I am now being told by my neighbor's to look into organizations who help with moving company fraud as I have no idea where my furniture is and the cost to eat out is very expensive!! And, I have been sleeping at my son's house on his couch for over 30 days and I'm so tired of this!!
Perennial should be paying me for all the inconvenience they have put me through!!
Again, do not use this Perennial Van Lines!!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE!

The company hired a mover who was unprofessional and very arrogant. The moving experience was riddled with problems he moved ahead by threatening either his way or no way even though conditions were discussed before hand. Over $1100 in damages to boot, obviously very inept at their job. Extra charges were extreme!

Team went above and beyond packing everything up and especially being patient with me while I took care of stuff I should have done long before they came through the door. I am happy to extend the company my highest recommendation and best wishes as it continues to grow.

Non professional When truck arrived to…

Non professional When truck arrived to my destination they only had 1 person to unload my things. When I called customer service to ask them to get him help so my thing are damaged. I was told the other 2 that were supposed to come along didn`t show up. I said so you just sent the truck anyway, instead of making other arrangements. They said he can unload it is a professional. I said 1 guy can`t unload a 8 footlong couch or a king size bed.
Not without dragging it. Rep just keep saying he`s a professional,
If you do end up using tis company make sur you get in writing tat they will have more than 1 person to unload.
Now I have to go thru thru clams process, wish me luck.

Do not hire this company

Do not hire this company. This company is just a broker, not a moving company.
The process here is you speak to a sales person who quotes your move, provides lots of fast talk and sales BS. A few days later the customer service team calls to review the inventory, and jacks up the price. In my case by $800.
On the day of my move, the company picking up the goods "re-estimates" the fees for moving my furniture and demanded an extra $3000. on the spot or they were leaving. No pressure there, Closing on our house was in two days.
I had requested a for-sure delivery date in writing. The Operations Manager emailed me assuring me of delivery on my requested date of November 14, 2020.That delivery date meant nothing to either company. Pick up date was 10/26/20 for a move from California to Kentucky.
The pickup was managed by a company named Flash Moving and Storage, Inc. They ran out of room for our goods in the truck, so they loaded yard furniture into a pickup truck. One of the chairs was ruined, They also loaded a Desk Top and a queen size mattress and box spring on the tailgate of their truck. We have pictures of all this stuff. They also left behind a refrigerator. When I advised this was to be picked up they told me it would cost more money. I advised Operations Manager I would ask our attorney to get involved in this situation.
Delivery requested for 11/14/20. Customer Service at Perennial advised me on November 12 that they had 5-16 days to be late delivering my furniture. I exchanged several emails with the Operations Manager asking for a delivery date. I received responses of we will find out in 3-5 days. Further emails were ignored and phone calls went unanswered. After we engaged an attorney, delivery finally got scheduled for 12/4/20.
Furniture left our home assembled and arrived disassembled. I have damage, furniture without hardware to reassemble. Missing parts etc.
A detailed review of each article delivered includes items from other customers, our stuff is missing, boxes were opened, goods damaged etc.
To top all this off the delivery driver threatened physical harm to our assists helping us move in. He also treathened to leave and just drop our goods off at a storage location.

In a nutshell, this company is a scam outfit, operating at the fringes of the law. By the way, the State of California prohibits changing agreed rates on day of service, The State calls this action extortion.

We are just beginning the damage claims process and will update this review as we see fit.

Six reasons for do not use this company

We were moving from California to Texas, 1.- Perennial Van Lines (PVL) promised to move the stuffs in maximum 10 day, took 29 days. 2.- PVL contracts third party movers, this makes the moving with higher cost and dilute responsibility. 3.-PVL gives you an underestimate quote based on volume or weight, just to win the contract. The final cost was 80% higher. 4.- PVL promised that one truck would be used in the move. Finally, my things were transported by several trucks. consequently, several uploads and downloads of my stuffs, with the damages derived from that operation. 5.- Poor handling, a lot things were broken or damage. 6.- The claim was made with evidence, driver report explaining the damage on some Items, photographs and attached all documentation requested. The claim was finally denied.
I would go so far as to say that PVL is a scam and the terrible company to carry out a move, it is better and safer to carry out the move yourself, using a trailer and counting the personnel for loading and unloading. the responsibility rests on oneself and you save 60% of cost.

DO NOT use this company!!!!

DO NOT use this company!!!!! DO your research before giving deposit. They are NOT honest and upright with you. They will STEAL your money and you will never get deposit back even if they don’t even come to your house or do a thing!

We are moving from Florida to Utah-with 2 babies under two and I am pregnant. We spoke to the guy prior and he seemingly went over everything with us. We went over all the stuff we had. We gave him the date we need our stuff by. He said that’s absolutely no problem and the stuff should arrive by that day unless obviously an emergency or something happens which is understandable. He told us that they don’t take credit cards bc of the credit card extra charges. So we gave him our account number - MISTAKE #1 and RED FLAG!!!!! When we called back a week later to secure what day they are actually coming to get our stuff and make sure timing will be all good. The broker (you don’t talk to the actual company anymore) said that you absolutely can not plan on having your stuff there on the day that was talked about. Apparently the guy didn’t even list that date on the paperwork. And she said it can be anywhere from 5 to 15 buisness days. So essentially we can be in an empty house up to 3 weeks out.

So we asked for our despot back right away to book another company and use the money for them or to rent a Uhaul and have my husband drive to guarantee driving. Another company said they can pretty much guarantee the date unless emergency obviously and that it would never be 5-15 business days later. So we called back again. Spoke to Jessica and Donna. They will NOT give deposit back even though we did not use their services. They said the 5-15 days was in the contract-we looked at the fine print and the contract again. It’s not in there. It does say the depsit is non refundable so that part is true however they SCAM you and are not honest up front and leave out the fact that you can potentially be without stuff for 3 weeks. She told me there are extended stays in the area. I would NEVER have agreed to this knowing I may need to be in an extended stay with a baby toddler and being pregnant while my husband starts his intense new job.

I’m literally balling my eyes out so stressed out. We’ve spent so much money buying a home in this insane market to be able to make our kids comfortable and give a sense of stability and now we don’t don’t when our stuff will get delivered. How long we’ll be in an extended stay and all because they can’t give us back our despot. They also said they can guarantee the date with an extra $3500 on top of the expensive moving across country price. We don’t have all this extra money. So now we are stuck with this horrible company that I don’t trust for one second!!!! I also heard from the other company we talked to that after you pay the broker-the actual people that take your stuff with charge another fee on top of that. DONT USE. DONT MAKE OUR MISTAKE. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!

Great process from start to finish

They are very professional and responsive team. The movers were outstanding. Took good care of our old and new house and carefully wrapped all of the furniture. The initial estimate was a bit lower than final hours so make sure to have a detailed list for a more accurate estimate. Will definitely be hiring these guys for our next move.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. They have no trucks, no warehouse, no crew, and they are not accredited with the BBB. I used them because they said the had quote that was binding to not exceed. Then I get a call from their QA department that is designed to charge you more. Then they contracted my the job out to a carrier that charged me even more money. A complete horror story.

Harrassment is not a great sales tactic.

This company is just awful. I am still getting obnoxious phone calls from them over a month after the first time I asked them not to contact me again. The high pressure sales pitch turns really nasty if you tell them you want to check prices of other companies. If I needed proof that they aren't legitimate, this continued harassment is a great indicator. Don't let them get your number!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this…

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this company.1st of all they are NOT a moving company. They get your business through a high pressure sales conversation and then broker it to someone else for packing and storage. I had several phone calls with them and each time they told me that my move was going to cost more, and after I made the initial deposit. No way out. They then subcontracted to a company in New Jersey. When they arrived at my home they looked at my items, mostly boxes, and told me that I had to pay an additional $1200. They are in your apartment and you have no option...oh, and CASH ONLY. Then they subcontract to another VAN LINE. Many weeks later, a man arrived at my home. Missing dresser, missing lamp, broken TV, broken glass, smashed boxes. I wish I could upload the photos that I took. DEPLORABLE, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

This was the worst experience moving in…

This was the worst experience moving in my many years of moving. The company was also completely unresponsive to my complaints. I asked the salesman, David Barr, for specific moving dates over a weekend, because my daughter was starting a new job, in a new state on Monday. I explained this to him. He proceeded to write up the order, but did not specify those specific dates, so according to DOT rules, they have 30 days to deliver from the date you request. None of this was explained to me and all I saw was the “REQUESTED” dates on the order. Unfortunately, my daughter ended up having to find a nearby hotel and pay for 6 days until they finally delivered her things to her apartment. They contracted this move out to a local company where her goods were stored over that period. The move ended up being about $1000 dollars more than Two Men in a Truck and no guaranteed move in date.

I therefore advise that if you decide to use this crooked unethical company that you make sure it says “GUARANTEED” dates and not “REQUESTED” dates. They also charged me extra for every little thing, such as for covering the bed which included the cost of the cover plus $20 for the men to put it on, which Two Men in a Truck did not charge anything additional and were still $1000 less for a similar move. BUYER BEWARE!

Poor customer service

My mother contacted this company to move her out of state. The mover never showed up. He claims he did and had an altercation with the home owner or neighbor. I have text messages and calls from the driver from 1030pm until 1130pm. What company loads a home that late in the evening??? The company will not refund the deposit. Jessica whom I believe is the only employee that answers phones told my mother she would make arrangements for another mover and would not call with updates. We ended up having to rent a uhaul and my nephew took time off to load and drive three states! Very disappointed in service and no resolution!

I chose Perennial to move from MN to KS…

I chose Perennial to move from MN to KS because they helped me with a Military Discount. I was told the CEO is a retired Naval Officer. I was impressed and accepted the offer. Perennial sold my move to a company called Way To Go, Inc out of Minneapolis, Chicago and headquartered somewhere in Iowa (so it is hard to sue them.
They ruined most of my items. Broke things in front of me while unpacking. Packed my items into 2 trucks and stored them in a location that was not disclosed to me. I asked they said don't worry about it. Items were wet. Some collectibles were ruined.
I would not use Perennial again. It you are veteran, do not use Perennial Van Lines. They take no responsibility for any actions. They take no responsibility for your items. I keep asking for help and they blocked my emails. What company does this? Only a bad one. I asked to speak with the CEO as a veteran to another veteran. No replies. DO NOT use Perennial Van Lines. I am warning you!!!

Terrible communication

I reserved the moving date and paid down payment. It tuned out perennial candidates line changed my moving dates and no one even bothered to notify us. Prior to the moving, I called them Many times trying to finalize the move. I still have to call them next week as they can’t give me a date as of right now. Until all is moved to my satisfaction , the review remains one star.
Update: finally PVL sent its subcontractor “ American Home Relocation “ to pick up my stuff on the 8th. After many many calls, I just found out everything still sit in the warehouse. It has been extremely difficult to contain the moving company. If you read yelp reviews, you would understand PVL probably never vested it’s subcontractors. If American Home Relocation (844-5674407, I put its phone number here because they want to let you know it’s name) does the moving for you, bad luck. I would not use either of them in the future.

Great to work with them

We went through my entire home inventory to be sure we got an accurate price. Other companies I spoke with just wanted a ballpark number of boxes to get me off the phone. Even with the full inventory, he came out lower than the other companies I talked to. They showed up on time and delivered on time.
