Absolutely useless and not attentive to me as a customer

I contacted Beaver pest control for proofing of my fully fitted kitchen. The technician was great, he highlighted 4 entry point and told me that they could all be accessed, at worst by extending the proofing tools slightly.

Then the trouble started. the quote came from the office, 3x the price of other companies with justification that "this work involves pulling out kitchen appliances to check behind them for possible hidden ingress" and "some kitchen units will need to be partly dismantled or access gained through removal of backing/base units." I naturally replied that my kitchen was fitted and no appliance could be moved, and kept receiving the same response that appliances would need to be moved. It was like nobody read my email and just copy pasted the same response all over again. I don't know how I can trust someone who doesn't even understand the basic condition that my appliance cannot be moved. Quite shocking if I'm honest how little they cared about me and my feedback in their communications.

I’m pleased to hear our technician was helpful during the visit, but it’s clear we fell short afterwards in how we explained the quotation and responded to your concerns.

For rodent proofing in fitted kitchens, we sometimes need access behind or beneath units/appliances to confirm there aren’t hidden ingress points and to make sure any proofing is effective and long-lasting (rather than a temporary seal to the visible gaps). When we believe that level of access is required, it does increase the time on site and can make our quotation higher than others that may be pricing for visible-only proofing.

That said, we should have addressed your key point more clearly: if access can’t be gained because units/appliances cannot be moved, we should have explained the options (for example, what could be done within those limitations or whether a revisit was needed to confirm feasibility), rather than repeating the same wording. I can understand why that would feel like your emails weren’t being properly read.

I understand a member of our team has since been in touch to provide further context. If you have any remaining questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The staff in the office are so polite

The staff in the office are so polite , Ive spoken to a couple , but today Kim was very helpful and kept me updated , I had to cancel my appt at short notice and she did everything to accommodate me in making another one , by keeping me informed
