It won’t be delivered on time
Don’t believe the delivery timeframe!!!! Took a month to be delivered!! I filled up and was told they had an issue with their delivery provider (not sure I believe this). Then another 2 weeks passed and still not delivered. Requested a full refund and strangely enough it arrived the next day. They offered a $20 voucher as compensation. My biggest issue is false advertising on delivery timeframes. You can see from all the reviews this is a constant problem. Now we will see if the product actually does what it says but I now have little faith.

Stay Away | Buyers Beware | Scam
This company is dodgy.
They claim to be Australian based, yet my order hasn’t shipped within the estimated timeframe and it’s now been over 3 weeks. They’re holding my money and refusing to process a refund.
Buyers, please be careful and do your research before purchasing.
They also have also deleted the comments and refuse to acknowledge or sort this out.

No communication until I followed up…
No communication until I followed up this was ordered on 30/1/2026 and still waiting. Was told they had none in Moorabbin and were waiting for it to arrive from Perth. This was on 16/2/2026. Still no communication or automatic kitty litter. Wouldn't recommend them at all.

Wasn’t sure about it but it’s been good
We’ve got two cats, Sam and Ruby, and the litter box used to be one of those jobs that never really stayed done. If you skipped a day you could tell straight away. We bought the PetBuds Pro after going back and forth for a while. Setup was pretty straightforward. Sam used it straight away, Ruby took about a day and wasn’t impressed when it first rotated. After that it became normal. The biggest thing for me is just not scooping every night. I empty the drawer every few days and top up the litter. The smell is still there a bit but it doesn’t build up like it used to. It’s not magic, it just makes things easier.

Faulty product and unfair refund process
I purchased a PetBuds self-cleaning litter box and experienced serious issues from the first days of use.
During the cleaning cycle, solid waste rolls back out of the waste bin instead of staying sealed inside. This causes strong odours and constant re-exposure of waste. This is a design problem, not a litter issue.
I provided multiple videos and detailed explanations, but the company kept blaming the litter and refused to acknowledge the defect.
They denied a proper refund under Australian Consumer Law and required me to pay return shipping for a faulty product. I also paid for extended warranty, which is useless because the product cannot be used properly.
Customer support focuses on avoiding responsibility instead of helping.
I do not recommend this company. Very disappointing experience.

You are misrepresenting the situation.
I contacted you as soon as it became clear that the product has a design flaw. The issue appeared from the first days of use and continued consistently.
The problem is NOT related to litter. I demonstrated in videos that solid waste physically rolls back out of the waste bin due to the door opening during rotation. This happens regardless of litter type. It is a mechanical/design issue.
Offering “free litter” does not fix a faulty design.
I provided clear video evidence. Instead of acknowledging the defect, you repeatedly blamed the litter without addressing the actual problem.
Under Australian Consumer Law, a product must be fit for purpose. A self-cleaning litter box that re-releases waste and odours is not fit for purpose.
You required me to pay return shipping for a defective product and refused to accept responsibility. I also paid for extended warranty, which became useless because the product cannot be used properly.
Your response focuses on protecting the company, not on solving the customer’s problem.
I stand by my review.

Best decision I’ve made for me and my cat
I bought the Petbuds pro automatic litter box from Petbuds on 04/12, and I can honestly say this has been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made for my cats. The price was very fair, especially considering the quality of the product.
When the litter box arrived, I struggled a little with the setup and decided to call their support line. Even though it was a Friday afternoon, the team was incredibly patient and kind. They stayed on the phone with me and calmly walked me through every step until everything was working perfectly. That level of care really meant a lot to me.
And the best part? My cats, Milo and Zac, absolutely LOVE it. They adapted so quickly, and seeing them so comfortable made me feel 100% confident that I made the right choice. The litter box works flawlessly and has completely changed my daily routine for the better.
I genuinely regret not investing in this earlier. it would have saved me so much time and stress. I’m also really grateful that I chose a local Australian company where real support is available when you need it. This experience reminded me how important it is to trust and support Australian businesses.
I couldn’t recommend Petbuds AU more. If you’re thinking about getting an automatic litter box, just do it,you won’t look back.
Long time to arrive but decent product and support
The order took 2-3 weeks to arrive but the team was apologetic and dealt with it professionally. The automatic cat litter works well.
Don't bother
Took 15 days for the order to arrive then the smart kitty litter box didn't work with the app nor did the automatic clean and when I used the manual clean it didn't clean properly. The customer service team were argumentative and not helpful at all. I spent almost $400 and I can't use it. I've now had to contact Fair Trade.
In response to your reply. 15 days delivery is their timeframe if you're looking to buy from Petbuds. I did send photos and a video. Once they sent troubleshooting which I replied to because it wouldn't work. Then they didn't reply. They offered no other solution so I had to contact Fair Trade. And when I wrote this review they accused me of being defamatory and tried to get it taken down. If that's the experience you want to have by all means buy from Petbuds if not then 'don't bother' as I suggested.
