It is a pleasure to give the petit…

It is a pleasure to give the petit batteau but
what a terrible arrogant people, really the French way
as unlike in most part of the world , the customer is not considered "King" in France, and petit batteau showing this very well.
I bought 3 deux pieces , cute and nice to give to new born but I only got 2 gift boxes, so stupid to put 2 the same in one box.
the unpleasant on-line service start a whole discussion with me, the client , and very easy they could find a simple solution
they are lazy and .............not friendly and...not nice :)

Dreadful customer service processes

Had a notification from UPS that my Petit Bateau order had been delivered, this was NOT the case. After speaking to customer services I received an email asking me to HANDWRITE, not email, a note informing the of non receipt of the package and send a copy of the double sided ID card ! There was no ID as the package hadn’t been delivered!! After emailing them back I received another email insisting on handwritten notification of the loss and the id AGAIN! Assume it’s a delaying tactic???

Order missing, UPS locker compartment empty

UPS automatically switched my delivery to a previously chosen collection point, which is a locker. Thought that would be ok but when my order had apparently been delivered and I went to collect it, the locker compartment was empty! The machine didn’t allow me to report the issue. I have tried contacting Petite Bateau multiple times as it is their responsibility to chase this and heard nothing back. The phone number on their website now seems out of action (“exceptional, please visit our website..”). I have also now contacted UPS separately and heard nothing back. I am disappointed, annoyed and out of pocket.

Wish I had read these reviews before I bought two baby hats for a baby shower box. No idea when or if they might come. Appalling customer service. Apparently French are on holiday and because of brexit they will arrive when they arrive. If you want something quickly don’t bother with this company. Shocking

Item was lost, but not giving an option to customer

customer service was helpful, but suddenly refunded my money without giving me an option. Package was lost in transit after one month without news, suddenly got a news "your package has been lost, we refunded your money". You guys need to learn and give options to your customer if they want the same products they ordered or if they want to have refund.

Please learn some basic things in e-commerce trading.

Awful customer service

As stated in other comments, awful customer service. I thought it was just in Italy and maybe the tone got lost in translation, but it seems to be all over the world. I received a baby pijama which was obviously faulted, at first wash the print leaked off, the sizing was off compared to other petit bateau pijamas... I had bought a matching pijama for myself to wear on Christmas and the same fabric washed well, the cut was ok. Customer service said the product team said they didn't have this issue and didn't even give the possibility to return the item. I am sorry that I will not buy from them ever again, because I liked the cotton quality and cuts, but there are other alternatives, especially for baby clothes, where if you have a problem it gets solved and you don't get treated in a passive agressive way. In the past I had another issue with an online order where i got refunded after 2 months from a return...

Aljoharah refused to change the size of clothing

I bought 2 peices of baby clothing on 9/2/2025 at 21:17o'clock ,but the size was small so I went back to the store in Alnakheel mall in Riyadh ,Saudi Arabia on 12/2/2025 at 18 o'clock . The laday at the cashier was very rude and refused to change for me to the right size . I left the 2 peices and went out the store mad of the way she treated me . Her name is Aljoharah .

I have credit sitting with petit bateau…

I have credit sitting with petit bateau and they make it impossible for me to access it.
Appalling customer service. £50 of my money which I cannot get back.
I have emailed customer service many times and they send back unhelpful emails saying the credit is in my account, but it is not. And if it is, it's not accessible to me.
I have even asked to place the order directly with customer service, but they say it's not possible.
So utterly frustrating - they 'say' I have credit, but do not allow me to spend it.
Are they fraudulent? Surely not. Inefficient?Certainly.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I ordered a gift for a new mother in November. I received an email advising it would be delayed and another a few days later advising my order was damaged in transit.
I assumed it had eventually been delivered but it hadn’t. Petit Bateau knew this but did not contact me again and did not arrange a refund.
Instead three months later when I eventually managed to speak to someone by phone they said they would refund me. I don’t know how long they would have kept my money for the undelivered order if I had not persevered.
Will never shop from them again.

Very slow postage, would never buy online again

They don't offer a next-day or fast shipping. The package took 2,5 weeks to arrive and sadly as it was a gift for a birthday, we didn't have a present to take with us. I complained to customer service but their response was completely unhelpful, probably a 'copy-paste' of standard blurb. Considering how expensive their clothes are, customer care/service is attrocious.

Disappointing you have removed the free returns when previously they were free (caught me off guard). Won’t be purchasing again due to your models built for skinny girls and it being difficult to order the correct item and pay for the return

The shop at Golden Hall in Athens…

The shop at Golden Hall in Athens simply sucks. The service could not be any worse than it already is. I have visited it twice, the second time not by choice, but instead to return a gift. Their staff is not trained at all and borderline rude. The management should really look into it. So sad to see a well designed quality product being affected by poor service.

Charging for paper carrier bags?

Petit Bateau clothes are not cheap but I buy them often as baby gifts. I will not be buying here again until they reverse their policy, recently introduced, of charging for paper carrier bags. Went to their store today to find that the boxes they previously provided free as gift wrapping (I presumed to reflect the high prices of the clothes) are no longer provided. They have been replaced by alternative boxes which are available only at a cost of £3, or pouches which are available at a cost of 50p. I chose to buy a pouch. When the item was wrapped, the sales assistant passed it over to the counter to me without a carrier bag. When I asked for a carrier bag, I was told that I would also have to pay for the carrier bag. This is not related to regulations requiring charges for bags - that applies to plastic bags (which these bags are not). This is disrespectful to customers who have paid premium prices for the clothes. And foolish as there are many other suppliers of high quality baby/ children's clothes. From whom I will be buying until this ludicrous policy of charging for paper carrier bags is reversed.

Wrong size given

We wanted to buy our Granddaughter a present back from Rome
Went to Petit bateau in Rome staff were really nice lady said she help me with the size, I asked for a 12 months dress which she yes they had that size and fetch it then package it in a bag.
We get back to the UK and the dress she had packed was for a 6mths so disappointed in Petit Bateau customer service I have rang twice and no joyed also email twice no one has answer me.
So just stared a dispute with my card company, I will never shop here again.

We absolutely love France and I have…

We absolutely love France and I have very very rarely written reviews …My wife Went to petite bateau Perpignan today (13/4/24) to buy a present to bring back to the Uk (my wife works in Next Uk) She is able to get by with the language, however The female member staff she encountered was the most ignorant anti-Brit petulant woman she had ever met … why employ staff that are obnoxious and down right rude and loose you sales???Come petite bateau get a grip …yes it’s nice stuff but you are only sales assistants employed to serve …n’est pas???

Customer service UK the most awful thing

I don’t know the reason but the quality of customer service in general in UK is terrible and is getting worse every day.
Unfortunately, Let Petit Bateau is not an exception !
I recently experienced a disappointing situation with the customer service regarding a courier delivery to a collection point, which I did not request. The expected delivery time was initially 8 days, but after reaching out to address a mistake by UPS, I was informed I had to wait an additional 48 hours. The customer service advisors were impolite, rude, and seemingly careless. Unfortunately, I haven’t received any updates about my parcel, leaving me with this unresolved issue. This experience has led me to the decision never to purchase from them again.

Really bad client service

Really bad client service. Petit Bateau UK website is a scam and their customer care service abusive, dishonest and incompetent!
1/ Bad online order experience: I put an order through online. The website responded negatively to my order - rejecting the payment. Therefore I put the order through again, and the payment was accepted.
However a few minute later, I received 2 emails confirming the order twice!

2/After contacting the customer care service a few hours later, I could not be cancel one of the order. I could only do that one hour after the order went through... however when I connected to my account, I tried and that wasn't possible.

3/ The person handling the call was unhelpful and very disagreeable. She wasn't willing to acknowledge there has been a bug on Petit Bateau Website and it was my fault if I had put the order twice!

4/ It's extremely unconvenient as this order is for a gift. I will have to bother the mum of the newly born to resend me the parcel... I'm also away from the UK at the moment...

What a nightmare... so frustrated to be talking to people who are unwilling to help and support their customers!
