Two step verification

I called to talk about this new policy of two step verification. I was told this is the new policy and it is mandatory. Being we give cards to our company drivers with a pin for them individually we do not want another step. The lady I spoke to hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I guess Petro wants to lose customers to Esso and Shell who do not have such policies.

Petro-points 2 factor authentication is terrible

Petro-points. I could log in, change my personal information, claim points, order a card alter my address but I couldn't report fraudulent point claims because I didnt have the more recent card for a purchase. It makes no sense.

this would allow someone to just use my points number a few times and give them more power calling in then I had.

Poor Policy and Customer Service for Loyalty Points

I have a physical petro card that I have had for a number of years. When I tried to use it to access the Petro App I received an error message. I called the Petro Points hotline. Agent 1 said I cannot access my old account as its legacy account. She instructed me to create a new account and call back and they could transfer. I completed this step and called back. Agent 2 now is asking for my last credit card or payment number to validate my account. I was told the one I provided is not valid. I mentioned that I often change cards and if there was another way to validate and was told this is the only method. I also asked to speak to the manager. She refused and hung up when insisted I would like to speak to a manager to explain the situation. I called back the general line asking how I can file a customer complaint. Agent 3 asked for overview of the situation and I explained again. They asked again for the credit card number, and I explained what happened last time. Agent 3 also refused to validate another way. I asked again how I can file a customer complaint. He also refused to provide my any details and hung up on me. This is very poor service and very poor policy that there is no other way to validate a customer other than a payment card. People change card numbers frequently and Petro should not be asking for client payment information to begin with. The reason for all of this trouble was due to their action ton change their system without informing me and they should be taking responsibility to find a solution. All 3 agents wasted my valuable time, cited a very poorly constructed policy, refused to log my complaint, refused my requests to speak to a manger and hung up on a customer. All over what I am sure small monetary value of points. Petro should be embarrassed how they treat paying customers and I will never shop at Petro Canada again.

Hands down the worst points program…

Hands down the worst points program going. Missing points, website always down, numerous attempts to resolve what should be simple issues, and I've had my gift cards I'd redeemed points for hacked before they got to me. If the website if ever back from the constant maintenance, I'll cash out the remaining points and move on.

I chatted with a real person on their website - very simple request - need to delete a previously registered wash and go card. After taking me round and round - go here, go there... and each interaction taking more than 2 minutes, finally no response at all. Probably the worst chat experience. And they immediately ask you to fill in a survey. That is ok - just 3 questions - but don't they want to know why they received a negative review? Just don't care I guess.

TERRIBLE WEBSITE AND EVEN WORSE CALL IN EXPERIENCE!!!

I received a new Petro Points card several months ago with a new number. I had a lot of points in my original account number. When I received my new card as a replacement I assumed that all points would be under my new card. No! I was on a chat today and the person ended the chat without letting me know what was going on. So, I called and was speaking to a gentleman who hung up on me. I called again and finally got someone who knew what they were doing. However, my current card points had to be moved to the old card (which I didn't have any longer) and then another new card will be sent out. As much as I was grateful for the help, Petro Canada has the worst call in system that takes you nowhere and their website is one of the worst I've ever had the mis-pleasure of using! Surely someone at that company should know how to run a website!!!

I broke down at the corner of #5 and #6…

I broke down at the corner of #5 and #6 highways. I had forgot my cell phone and was in a real predicament. I went into the Petro Canada, to the checkout counter and found a smiling young stranger ( Rutvik Prajapati } I told Rutvik that I was over on the edge of the Petro parking lot. I knew that it was a bit of a reach to ask to borrow a phone but I had no choice. Rutvik glanced at the company phone on a charger sitting there and said that it was his first week working at Petro Canada and I thought I could see in his eyes (possibly) that loaning out the company phone was looked down on. Then his eyes sort of lit up as he handed me his Personal Cell Phone, he was smiling!.
This is a "heavy duty" favour these days, as we all know how important that our phones have become to us. I ended up calling a tow truck and eventually getting through to my wife after several try's (6 or 8 try's) on Rutvik Prajapati's smartphone. When the tow truck driver was almost done loading it, I went back into the store to thank this outstanding man that had been such an incredible friend to me. I had thought ahead at what sort of a thank you that I would give to Rutvik. Im far from a rich dude but I thought of what a terrible spot that I would have been in if he had just said "No, sorry" I put 5 purple bills on the counter and began to thank Rutvik as he rushed forward and picked them up and said "Oh No!No!No!" coming around from behind the counter as I was heading for the door , he grabbed my hand and stuffed the purple into it and said "I am happy to help you! this is my job , Im very happy to help you". I tried again but No way was Rutvik going to take my little tip . My tow truck showed up and loaded my little sports car on a flatbed and took it to my home. Our world has become a place where people are hesitant if not outright scared! to even help a stranger due to dishonest and unscrupulous people with tricky ways to rob us.. Whenever we can, we must try to treat people like brothers and sisters and Grandmas and Grandparents. These are the things that must be entered with caution as they have since the beginning of time. BUT, Please dont pull back from helping people. These are the things that are so nice when they happen. When you can have a flat tire and still call it a "good Day" because of a young man at his first shifts with a company. RUTVIK PRAJAPATI will go Places"

I will not be buying a car wash card…

I will not be buying a car wash card from Petro Canada again they charged me $73 and said you could get a free car wash if you jumped through 100 hoops online and they try to send a verification email that never comes. Then when you called Customer Service they’re so rude to ask you 100 banking questions all this information and then hang up on you. I’m assuming that they may have relations to fraud or something because I can’t understand why they wouldn’t want all this information for a free car wash.. really upset me today.

My first purchased of season pass went smoothly. I am not aware of the term of using a season pass that only one device and one card only. When I renewed my season pass it was cancelled after a week. No refund nor consideration to reactivate my season pass. I felt I was scam lol. They let me enjoy my first purchase and when I renewed it. They cancelled it. I paid twice and use one . I switched to ESSO. I am happy for it.

The deactivated and suspended my season pass for a violation that did not happen. Their customer service agents couldn’t resolve the problem. They told me to write a generic email address. That response didn’t request any additional details, and confirmed what the agent said. It’s clearly an automated response from a poorly designed A.I.
Form letters and robotic customer service is no way to handle customer service.

Super horrible experience

Super horrible experience. They are crooks. You buy a season pass for a car wash and they do not allow you to use it with your immediate family. They will cancel your pass and not give you a refund. Newsflash some people have more than one car in there household and they dont want to have to take each one to the car wash themselves. I will no longer give them my business because their business practices are completely unreasonable.

Petro Canada not the way it was, lying, poor customer service & more

I said to this female Petro Canada employee around 1008 am this morning, March 21/26 at 1493 Finch Av. W. "Ontario 49, no encore 5 lines", she asked 5 lines, separate?" I replied "no, 5 lines on same ticket, together. I repeated "5 lines Ontario 49, no encore!" as she still looked puzzled.

She did not let me see this finished ticket. I asked her to "let me see the ticket to make sure it is the right one." She said in an annoyed & unpleased manner "OH MY GOD!". She then asked "so you wanted 5 lines Ontario 49 & 5 lines Lottario?" I saw the correct ticket & started paying. I said to her "why I have to tell you 3 times to get this right. She said "you keep changing.....". I said "say no more..."

She then took & torn up the ticket & cancelled my payment & said to me "Because you are an old man does not mean I have to do everything you said......"

Upon my persistent & multiple requests to her while she was trying to ignore me & helping other customers, she provided her name being "YaminI" & her supervisor's name as Kuldeep Singh.

"Yamini" kept refusing my request "let' s do this all over again" & refusing to give me the address & telephone number of this store. She repeatedly said "You told me not to say any more..."

I overheard "Yamini" said to some Tim Hurton people nearby "This Chinese old man keeps changing..........."

I called Petro Canada at 1020 am, holding for over 6 minutes & was disconnected.

I called again at 1034 am, holding for over 3 minutes & was disconnected again.

The third call to Petro Canada at 1038 am was answered by a male person identified as "MJ. As i was on the street & could hardly hear him, I asked the "MJ" person to not speak too fast. He then became all silent as I was giving him my phone number. No response at all after I said "hello" a few times, I hang up.

When I was home later, I called Petro Canada again at 116 pm. after about 10 minutes holding, a female named "Erl" answered but she was breaking up all the time & I found it very difficult to talk to her.
I asked if she could adjust her equipment, etc. She said I could call back. I said I waited over 10 minutes to talk with her. Then she said she could call me back right away. I offered my phone number & she promised "to call me now" No call whatsoever from this "Erl" person from Petro Canada. Such a LIER from the increasingly disappointing Petro Canada with bad apple employees all over for the past 20 years or so.

Unethical practice for season pass holders @ Petro Canada

I have been purchasing the Petro Canada car wash season pass for a number of years now and previous years. I would use my physical pass to drive my wife's car and son's car to have it washed since washing my car everyday would be a bit much. This season I decided to have my wife and son download the Petro Canada app on their phone so that they can simply use the app to get the car wash themselves and make it more convenient for Susan me driving their cars for a wash. Little did I know this was against their terms and conditions and as a result they canceled my season car wash today with no refund and no recourse available. And we had purchased the 190-day pass with about 55 days remaining of car wash. Anyone out there who is sharing their car wash? Please take note of their terms and conditions as it seems rather ridiculous and unethical for them to take my money and not refund it back to me if they cancel my remaining days of car wash. Going forward myself, my family and my friends will no longer be doing any business with Petro Canada and I will do my best to make sure other people know how unethical this practice is.

A complete scam

A complete scam. Do not use this car wash.
Today I used the car wash at a gas station in Aurora, north of Toronto. One side of the wash was not working, and my car came out covered in soap foam. I stopped and went inside to complain, telling them the car was still dirty and full of soap. They told me, “Just go home, the soap will go away gradually.”
They were rude, careless, and dishonest. Total scammers.
