I'm having to pay for over £50,000 worth of work to be done again
It has come to light recently, when we tried to sell our house, that the loft conversion (encompassing two bedrooms and two en-suites) we had done to our house in 2016 was not done correctly. We have had various structural engineers and builders look at it and all agree that the only remedy is for the whole loft conversion to be dismantled and reconstructed with a new roof.
The loft conversion was done by Phoenix Extensions Ltd. I have approached them for their views and they think they have done the work satisfactorily. We have had no offer of compensation, so we will have to pay for all the reconstruction work to be done ourselves.
