Amazing service. My instructor was Jeorge and Andrew. I found all instructions were given nice and clear in plenty of time with lots of explanation around doing things as well as demonstrations
The instructor is great (shout out to Sean)! Really good at explaining things and made everyone at ease throughout the lesson. Would highly recommend doing lessons with them.
Friendly, welcoming staff, easy to book and great communication. Both my son and daughter use Phoenix Motorcycle Training Bristol for their CBT tests and they highly recommend them. They wouldn't go a... See more

Great staff, always patient, knowledgeable and helpful, highly recommend
The instructors were brilliant. Really kind and patient and gave great advice. Fully recommend
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and renewing my cbt with them was an absolute breeze.
Straight forward always knew what was happening and what was next
Amazing experience, straight forward, simple instructions, good energy
Such an amazing experience they were all so helpful and very supportive during my experience. I did mess up a few time but that’s all apart of the experience. Lovely people would definitely come again to do my A1.
It was the most relaxed but the most professional trainers I have had the pleasure to meet, the weather conditions we’re horrible but still made and enjoyable experience highly recommend
Very thorough, extremely good coms Instructor was top class never left any stones unturned really felt like the course was worthwhile when finished feeling 100% more confident to hit the road on my new scooter
Just passed CBT at the Clifton rugby club in Bristol. Andrew and Jeorge were great. They explained everything clearly, helped correct when improvements were needed and were overall a good laugh which helped foster a positive learning environment. Will definitely be back in a couple of years for the renewal.
Thanks guys, keep up the great work!
Ben
Very polite and helpful explained every instrution in good detail
Couldn't recommend enough. Mod 1 (Bath) and Mod 2 (Bristol). Staff are very informative and just overall awesome. Bikes in great condition. Really smooth training and test days. Thanks guys.
Excellent trainer and facilities definitely recommend. Bar the bad weather it all was great
After 20 years without riding a motorbike, I decided to get my CBT to see if I could still ride, and the instructor George was fantastic at teaching us. I can confirm this place is good and the best to get your CBT.
Instructors are amazing got me through my A2 nicely, would recommend
The teachers were patient and clear about their instructions and how to improve. The lessons were effective and improved my confidence and still on a motorbike, and I was able to get to the point of successfully passing a CBT
I can’t recommend Phoenix highly enough. Everyone from the receptionist to the instructors were so friendly and knowledgeable. My 16 year old son has ADHD and needed an understanding instructor after a bad experience with another provider. Both Jorge and Andy were so supportive and lovely, giving my son the confidence to pass his CBT. If you’re looking for a professional, supportive and friendly provider look no further!
Will was great and super supportive, he noticed the little things and really helped my confidence grow. They make sure you are comfortable and have a laugh. All amazing crew!
I initially completed three try-ride sessions with this company. By the end of these sessions, I had practised all of the manoeuvres required for a CBT and was able to complete them confidently and consistently on the same bike I was later given for my CBT. The try-ride instructor confirmed that I was CBT-ready.
Despite this, I had a very disappointing and concerning experience during my CBT training session.
The bike I was assigned had an engine warning light on for the entire session. Despite raising this issue three times, the bike was still used and I was told that this was “normal for this type of training”. During the session, the instructor also allowed other students to ride far too close and attempt unsafe overtakes. I had to intervene myself and ask for this to stop.
There were two instructors for six students, both shouting conflicting instructions at the same time, which made the session extremely stressful and unsafe. Between 8am and 2pm, I repeatedly asked to stop and take short breaks, clearly explaining that I have an anxiety disorder. These requests were refused.
There was no proper classroom, only an old storage container. When I sat down inside, the chair collapsed underneath me and caused pain to my back.
Throughout the session, there was constant pressure to rush because other students were more experienced and the instructors wanted to finish early. This created an uncomfortable and unfair learning environment.
I was eventually told to go home without a clear explanation and then asked to pay an additional £160 to continue training. This was particularly frustrating as we were explicitly told during the taster/try-ride sessions that if a student was not road-ready, they would continue training in the car park. Instead, I was sent home and asked to pay again.
Before booking the CBT, I was told not to worry about bringing my own boots, gloves, or helmet, as trainers would be acceptable and all necessary equipment would be provided. However, when I arrived at 8am, I was asked to wear borrowed boots, waterproof trousers, and gloves. The only boots available were a size too small, the gloves were far too large, and the waterproof trousers were completely torn on the inside with the armour falling out. While trying to put this equipment in the storage container, the chair collapsed and injured my back.
When I initially raised a complaint with the school, I was told I would receive a callback at the end of the day. I was informed that the feedback provided was unclear and vague and did not properly explain why the session had been cut short. I was then advised to pay an additional £40 for another taster session, followed by a further £130 for another CBT.
Overall, the experience felt disorganised, unsafe, and poorly managed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this training provider.
Driving home from the course, I began to feel that I do not even want to ride a motorbike anymore because Phoenix expected me to turn up at 8am road ready, check that I was, and get back in time for lunch.
