I was offered £150 for my phone
I was offered £150 for my phone, when accepted they then offered me £25, gave me three different reasons as to why, then where charging me £20 to send the phone back, so cost me, when was on only £8 to send by special delivery as there pre paid envelope only went up to the price of £100, so I have emailed 5 times, no response, so now £30 of pocket and still my phone hasn’t been returned to me! Avoid this company at all costs… think I’ve been scammed 😕
Total cowboys - avoid!!!
I received an offer of £130 from SellMyiPhone.co.uk, which was a little higher than others I had been quoted. Keen to get the best deal, I sent them my iPhone XR for a final valuation. Expecting a little reduction (it’s always the way), I received an offer for £79.50.
A little disappointed, I went ahead to accept the offer, only to see once I’d confirmed that the offer had been dropped to £41 under my nose. Confused, I called them and was told that I had been sent a double offer and the final offer was £41.
I said that didn’t seem fair - I checked both offers which came through via email and they both gave exactly the same reasons why the price had been dropped. I asked if they could honour the £79.50 price which I was sent first and accepted, to which the answer was no.
The guy on the phone was very unhelpful, and just said ‘I’ll get it returned to you’ and put the phone down on me. Not hearing him properly, I rang him back to check what he’d said and why he’d put the phone down on me. I told him to go Eff himself, obviously, because I felt so insulted.
I’m assuming SellMyiPhone.co.uk think that most people won’t put up a fight and just accept their lowball final offers, which I don’t think is fair. The phone I sent to them had normal wear and tear (no cracks on screen, all ports working). They also said the battery needed servicing, but this was the first time I’d heard of this (no notification on phone). I was so surprised by their appraisal, I was concerned they’d valued the wrong phone!
For reference, and transparency, here are relevant excerpts from their valuation feedback:
Your initial quote for your device was based on only minor signs of use (Grade A) and fully working.
Due to the volume of deep scratches the display will need to be replaced.
The housing back glass has heavy marking and scratching across it with paint chipping on the frame.
The battery will need to be replaced as there is a battery service message on the device and the battery health is below the required 85% permitted to be considered a working grade.
In the initial quote questionnaire, there was nothing about scratches or marks or the battery, so I would suggest they build this into their initial valuation process to give customers a more realistic reflection of the price they’re actually going to achieve. I was counting on having around £100 to tide me over between now and Christmas, but no luck.
Avoid this company!!!
I wish I could score less
I wish I could score less, quoted £130 online and then offered £7 when the received my phone. I rejected their offer and they returned the phone with a smashed screen. Please avoid.
Price offered a third of what was…
Price offered a third of what was stated in original offer proof photos poor quality, try someone else who aren’t just trying their luck
Unbelievable
So I had a quote for my iPhone and sent the phone in.
The original quote was for £130 the phone had always had a screen cover on it and was immaculate at the back.
The revised offer was £45..
Absolutely disgusting and so very wrong.
Even the photos they sent me to prove the damage are not of my screen.
Needless to say I have rejected the offer and will keep the phone as a backup assuming it’s returned to me safely.
Phone came back damaged
Offered £50 for iPhone 7 in good condition but then be offered £5 because of the damage
There was no damage but when returned to me all the screen is scratched and all the corners have been dented
Pricing scam
Was quoted £95 for a Huawei P30 that had very slight surface marks on the screen, that could easily be polished out. I sent the phone to them in its oringal box, still with the warranty card, the sim pin, and even the original plastic wrapping the phone came in. They said my phone was in poor condition? But still offered me £70 - the high prices they advertise are clearly a con so that you choose them over other sites. Knowing full well they are going to find minor excuses to knock the price down. Thr majority of contracts are 2 years these days. What phone is going to be completely mint condition after 2 years?
A pathetic con to make money.
As others with high value devices the company had either sought to defraud me by replacing a functioning screen with a damaged one or has purposely damages the screen which would amount to criminal damage. It is worth noting that the evidence of the supposed damage included a photo of the wrong type of device. As such actions are both fraud and criminal damage legal redress will be sought.
I was quoted £60 for my black iPhone 7
I was quoted £60 for my black iPhone 7. The phone was in very good condition, no damage to case or screen. The offer was reduced to £35 because of the visible scratches on the screen on my gold iPhone. I said there must be a mistake as my iPhone was black (I have the original letter of sale supplied by EE) I have never owned a gold phone. I asked for the phone to be returned on 24/11/21, I’m still waiting.
Poor I just knew they would con me
Poor I just knew they would con me, I was promised £105.00 for my Huawei Mate Pro 128GB and they have paid me £12.00 despite rejecting the request. They are not easy to contact and now I am having to wait until Monday to try again to get my phone returned to me. 02 were offering £62.62 and much more reliable.
No phone number and emal address is not…
No phone number and emal address is not recognised (my emails bounced). The only way to communicate with them is by raising a support ticket. I tried that, I did not get a single reply to my 3 tickets raised. - BE WARE! Do a research on how to contact them before sending your phone. They might reply to enquiries while they don't have your phone, what happens if you have problems after sending it. To phones4cash, please speak to me about this.

so simple a child could do it!
After ploughing through lots of sites to sell your phone to I came up with the right company. No fuss, no hassle , I just sent my phone off in a pre paid packet and as soon as it was received and checked my money was paid directly into my account. I will definitely use them again.

Quick and easy
I found the site using a search engine, after reading the reviews I thought that I would give them a try. The price seemed OK so I went ahead, all was handled well and kept fully upto date by email. Cash was paid into my account when I was told it would be. Overall well done

When upgrading my phone I wanted to know if I could get anything for recycling my current one. I looked on the phones4cash website and typed in the make and model. The list of companies and the amount they would pay came up immediately. I choose the first company on the list clicked the link created an order and it was done! The company sent me an envelope which I used and they credited my account within the week! It was a completely easy and stress free process from start to finish and would recommend phones4cash to anybody that wants to recycle their phone with the least hassle and best price everytime!

Very easy process , ideal way to recycle your old phone .
The process was flawless from start to finish , with e mail notifications at each stage ( ie phone has been received , confirmation of actual offer , cheque in post etc etc ) an ideal way to dispose of your old unwanted phones . The only thing you have to observe is that the initial offer is an up to price , the price received can be lower depending of condition of phone on receipt and inspection , by the company .
