Don't ignore the bad reviews. Just don't.

Don't ignore the bad reviews. I wish I hadn't. I try to be as fair and objective as I can but felt I had to say something to save people from this trap.
While I was drawn in by the competitive price I wish I could comment on their products but its been almost 6 weeks now and I've not received anything.

My order confirmation email noted delivery within 7 days. After 10 days I emailed them to enquire and was assured that I would receive my phone 'on or before' same time next week.
Once they missed that delivery the email responses stopped so I resorted to the online chat.
More empty promises for delivery commitments. Even a promise for compensation that of course didn't materialise. Week after week, more lip service, more lies, no delivery.
My patience ran out. I have no trust in anything they tell me which is why I have requested a chargeback through my credit card company.

While I appreciate they source products globally their control of their supply chain is laughable. Tracking information is a joke. Repeated failure to meet their legal obligation to deliver within an agreed timeframe.

Awful!

Ordered an Apple Watch 2SE cellular for my daughter for Xmas for £160, when it turned up I was suspicious as the phone had a ticket inside for £100. Booted it up and realised it was the cheaper GPS model. Contact for refund and they said refunds were suspended until Jan 16th because of the volume of refunds they were processing?! When 16th rolled around I contacted them to return the watch was contacted by support who said they were setting up the refund and would get back to me, waited for days and nothing! Contacted them several times since and now radio silence. They basically palmed me off until the return window was closed. Gutted and ripped off.

Devastated ,bought a Samsung 6 fold Z for my husbands 70th birthday as he struggled so bad with a usual size screen, paid £699 , in December, a month ago blisters appeared across the screen then suddenly the screen became 2 mismatched screens, have emailed them ,they say hubby must of damaged it, not possible he treasures it, they want £450 for repair or a £100 refund, they say the LCD screen is not in the 12 month warranty , out of my mind with worry now I saved for 14 months to buy it,

I can’t give them any stars

I can’t give them any stars – that company doesn’t even deserve one star!!!

It’s a scam! I’ve been waiting for a refund for nearly three months and still haven’t received it!

The phone number doesn’t work, and every time I send an email, I don’t get a reply; they only respond if I send a message via the website.

Every time they tell me they’re looking into it, but they don’t refund the money.

It’s stressful, frustrating and alarming because I only bought from them because of the positive reviews the company had.

Please, stay as far away from that site as possible. If you’re lucky enough to receive the product, even if you don’t like it, keep it: if you return it, you’ll never see your money again.

Ordered Lenovo gaming handheld console based on delivery within a week.

Did not see a dispatch notification and it was coming up to the delivery date. They said thy would dispatch in 24 hours. Got dispatch notification the next day with internal link to tracking. No view of the tracking number or the courier. I waited throughout December, asked where it was and got answer they were look into it. A week later, no news. I then asked them to csncel order and refund. They sent a form for me to sign for me to not pursue a charge back proceeding. At that point i called my back and immediately got a refund through charge back.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT: DO NOT BUY FROM PHONES REFURB ⚠️

This is not a legitimate business; it is a professional scam operation designed to take your money and ghost you. I lost a significant amount attempting to purchase a Samsung phone, and I want to ensure no one else falls into this trap.

They advertise "3-working-day delivery" to get you to hit the buy button.

Once they have your money, nothing is shipped. When you inevitably chase them, they cite "logistics issues" and force you to wait 21 working days for a cancellation or refund.

As soon as those 21 days pass, they stop responding to emails entirely.

Their website claims they are UK-based, but they are actually operating out of a different country. The UK address listed is a virtual office with no physical presence.

Their phone line never rings, and their customer support email is a dead end.

I have been chasing them for weeks with zero resolution. They are currently attempting to tell Trustpilot that I was never a customer to get negative reviews removed. I have attached my Order Confirmation and Transaction ID to this review as proof of purchase.

Current Status: I have had to involve my bank to avert this fraud, which takes another 35 working days to process. I have also officially reported them to the Ombudsman and Action Fraud to have their website flagged and shut down.

VERDICT: STAY AWAY. They will take your money, lie about their location, and disappear. If you have already been scammed, contact your bank immediately to reverse the transaction.

2 maanden verder – geen levering, geen refund, alleen uitstel Over 2 months later – no delivery, no refund, only repeated delays

I placed and fully paid for an iPhone on December 14, 2025 (€475.89).
The promised delivery window was December 17–23, 2025.

It has now been over two months and I have:

not received the product

not received any tracking information

not received any refund

Since January 5, the order status has shown “Order Ready,” yet the item has never been shipped.

I have contacted the company multiple times via email and contact forms. Each time, I was told I would receive an update “within 5 business days.” That timeframe has now passed multiple times without delivery, refund, or any concrete solution.

The agreement has formally been terminated due to non-performance. The payment provider has confirmed that the funds were successfully credited to the company and has initiated internal contact following my complaint.

To date, there is still no resolution.

This ongoing pattern of delay without delivery or repayment is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Until a full refund is issued, I cannot recommend this company.

A very pleasant review.

Trust pilot took down my previous review as I was a bit too harsh, therefore I will try to round up my experience in a more positive way.

Ordering from phonesrefurb definitely has its benefits. For instance, after day 5 of them not even dispatching my item I started to play a little game with myself where I would wake up and guess if it had been dispatched. If I guessed right, I gave myself a little chocolate treat. It's like a second Christmas calendar!

Ordering from phonesrefurb also improves your communication skills, as you will have to send a lot of emails to find out where your package is and if it's ever going to ship. All in all, I believe I have 29 back and forth emails with them. The writing skills I gained alone are priceless, and as a bonus, I was being promised the item I paid £640 for!

Phonesrefurb also taught me a lot about geography. For instance, I was assured that my item was being shipped from Hong Kong, which I thought was a region of China. Upon receiving my shipping information, I learnt that my item was coming from the UAE. Now, my geography teacher in school must have been an idiot, because he didn't tell me that Hong Kong was in the UAE and I must have sounded like an idiot my whole life!! Thanks for correcting me Phonesrefurb, the TOTALLY LEGIT COMPANY.

Lastly, ordering from phonesrefurb greatly improved my legal knowledge. I didn't know I could be threatened with legal action for an item I didn't receive until I ordered from phonesrefurb! Thanks phonesrefurb!

All in all, if you wish to wait 10 days for your item to dispatch, you love improving your communication skills and your legal knowledge, I absolutely recommend ordering from the TOTALLY LEGIT COMPANY phonesrefurb.

Thanks phonesrefurb!

Edit: the totally legitimate company Phonesrefurb have replied to my review with "key facts". Unfortunately, they don't seem to know what a fact is, as every single one of them is the opposite of a fact- it's false. Don't fall for their pressure tactics, don't fall for their "you should refer to our policy" blablabla. It's all blabber and they won't send your item. Avoid.

Thanks for sharing.

Key fact: You were asked to provide proof of payment, and we reserve the right to do so if necessary.

Key fact 2: You placed a secure order on January 17th (Saturday). Our policy states that orders are processed within 1-3 business days. You should review your calculations based on this information.

Key fact 3: Our team requested proof of payment, and you provided it after 1-2 days.

Key fact 3: The dispatch occurred on time.

Key fact 4: We never assured you of the exact shipping location. You can refer to our policy page for more information.

Key fact 5: We respond promptly because you are dealing with real people, not bots or automated responses.

Your payment shows the name ABC, and our team concluded their checks and confirmation solely based on the last name. If you had provided that when requested, your dispatch would have been on time.

Our policy is clearly outlined throughout the purchasing process, including before and after your purchase. You also received a copy of our policy. It states that we reserve the right to dispatch from any location we deem appropriate, without any additional cost to you. I’m not sure what the issue is here.

Finally, you should come back soon and share the condition of the item. As we are certain you can’t find such pristine quality anywhere else.

I’m not sure what point you are trying to make.

We are available on our official platform from Monday to Friday during regular business hours.

No futher response is necessary and none will be giving.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

As always, it’s advisable to review the policies. Claiming that you received an inferior model is false (It dosen't make your comment weighty). We never do such a thing NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL, and the only difference was the battery percentage. You were offered an appropriate reimbursement, but you declined. We understand your decision.

However, stating that you received an inferior model is a complete lie. Honest feedback is the best approach, which is why this platform should not be trusted without users being able to verify themselves.

Phonesrefurb LTD has never, will never, and has never delivered an inferior model to you. You received a 100% pristine condition item.

Key fact: You were in possession of the real and original item for up-to 3weeks or more. Hence your statement "inferior" is clearly false.

We are available on our official platform from Monday to Friday during regular business hours.

No further response is necessary and will not be given.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I placed an order on 30th Sept and recieved a chinese version of the OnePlus13 with a global ROM which means you cannot update anything on the phone without knowing how to flash update on a computer and multiple features on the phone do not work.

Apparently this is written in the small print of the website therefore I take responsibility for not reading enough into this.

Because of this I decided to return the phone (within the 14 day return period)... Firstly the phone number on the website does not work. So I resorted to email and to which the company took days to respond. Eventually, after a very lengthy and difficult process I managed to confirm my return.

They firstly tried telling me that unless something was wrong with the phone, they wouldnt accept a return. You couldn't just change your mind... Then after showing them their own return policy they accepted.

They charged me £30 up front so that they could send me the returns label... They then told me to sign something which stated they would take a 10% restocking fee (my £500 phone was now going to return £400 after all fees)... And also which stated that if any seal on the phone or box was broken that they would take another "25% and 50% fee" which i took to mean that if the box was opened they would take a further 75% of my refund amount.

After protesting this over live chat, I was reassured that this is only on new products and that the broken seal fee wouldnt apply to me. I therefore sent the phone back.

I was emailed and told that they had recieved the phone on Oct 20th and the refund would take between 14-21 days to process and so I should not contact them until that time had passed.

21 days later I reached out because I hadn't recieved my refund... I got no response.

I have since reached out to 3 different emails on more occassions that I can even count. I have tried via the contact form on the website, I have tried calling but the phone number is still not in use.

It has now been over 6 weeks since the company emailed me confirming that they had recieved my return and that my refund would be processed withing 14-21 days.

I have no phone and I am currently down £530. (£500 for the phone plus £30 for the return) and not one single person at the company seems even slightly interested in trying to help me rectify this. I have emailed countless times and the only thing I have heard back was sombody telling me they would follow it up and get back to me the next day... That was nearly 2 weeks ago. I have had radio silence since.

From my experience... The company seem to be using some very questionable methods. It is the worst customer service I have ever recieved.

Save your money and shop elsewhere. If this problem is ever rectified I will update this review but right now I can't even get a hello from them, nevermind my refund.

UPDATE: I have now had a response (Weds 3rd Dec) via email "There is no news at this time, we will be in touch in 10 business days. You can proceed with filing a complaint with small claims court or by contacting Cirizens Advice for assistance".
