I am trying to cancel this software for the last 3 weeks. Communication is horrible!!! Instead of telling me I can’t terminate the contract early they just keep sending mails with the bullshit!
They want me to pay remain months in full and terminate the contract when I want to. Why they dont speak human language and tell I ve got an option to keep the contract till the end and keep my direct debit till the end of the contract. What’s the difference? I will have more time to download all my data and pay the same amount in instalment instead of one payment for all remain months! Rosin O Conor just horrible in explaining and giving options! This company is something I wouldn’t recommend! The worst experience of my life!!!!! Horrible and unprofessional stuff

Phorest is by far the superior salon software system in the market . I’m so happy I switched . Having a dedicated account manager like Gail on my side has made the whole experience so rewarding and fun. I look forward to our calls as enjoy learning what more we can accomplish together. She is so supportive and actually wants to see my business grow and succeed and all her suggestions are valuable.
The best customer service you'll ever get
We originally switched to Phorest some years ago then last year when restructuring the business we opted for another software provider (which was a mistake) as after around six months our team and clients were all crying out to "Bring back Phorest!"
This is MUCH more than just a bookings platform, it is a full business management system that is invaluable for financial reporting, staff management, social media and email marketing and much more including diary management, online booking and a superb and easy to use online shop.
The attention you get from the team at Phorest is second to none and queries and questions are answered and solved in incredibly quick time. Our business manager Gail has been a superstar getting us set back up as well as being invaluable in the Zoom sessions of business training we have done. All of this is included as standard with the monthly subscription.
The integrated payment terminal makes managing payments seamless as it is integrated with the software.
I would highly recommend this software, whether you are a one-man-band or a multi location business with multiple staff, this will make your life and your business run so much easier.

I have been using the Phorest salon software for over 8 years. The customer service is beyond excellent and my business has flourished because of it. Allowing you to fill every space in your diary effortlessly, I can honestly say that I wouldn't be able to manage my business so efficiently without it. The system is super easy to use, stock is controlled and can be monitored easily, all marketing is generated within the system with blank templates giving you loads of ideas. Reporting is at the press of a button, along with staff rosters and on-line booking. Can't recommend Phorest enough to anyone either moving across from another system or going high tech from a paper diary. The team at Phorest do all of it for you!

I started working with Phorest in 2014, moving over from another provider mainly because of their online booking. The experience for my clients was much more user friendly and it became a game changer in my business.
As Phorest has grown over the years, so have we - I look at them as one of our partners, helping us to succeed. We have seen a huge increase in new clients thanks to the reviews feature and clients posting directly to google.
A large number of our bookings are made online whilst we are closed at the weekend and the team love having the Phorest go app to manage their days.

An expensive mistake
Phorest has been an expensive and stressful experience and I really regret going with them for a year, because of course they lock you into a contract which you cannot cancel, which was not clear upon signing with them. It is advertised as much cheaper than it is and I don't think companies should be allowed to advertise the price without VAT as it is highly misleading for many companies who are not VAT registered yet. For £170 a month we have had little to no support from the 'business advisor' and I found his calls to be uncomfortable and uphelpful and like he didn't want to be there.
We decided to change to a much cheaper system, and I was informed that our contract was coming to an end (finally!) at the end of November and I had set up the data transfer for then. To my surprise November 1st when I was locked out of Phorest and couldn't see my upcoming appointments for the day which is extremely stressful, I was informed it actually came to an end in October and didn't even receive a courtesy email to check that I knew that. Perhaps this was a way of squeezing more money out of us.
It's a shame because the system itself is good, but the team are terrible and it is too expensive for what it is. We are moving to a system that costs £37 a month and I couldn't be happier to see the back of them.
Don't make the same mistake as I say no to Phorest!
Just DON’T! Phorest has been an expensive and frustrating experience. They courted me with promises of
hands-on support, no long-term commitment, and a user-friendly system. As a busy stylist, I explained that I needed substantial support and time to transition without a receptionist or manager. Despite these discussions, I was pressured to sign early—only to find myself locked into a year-long contract and paying over $500/month, far more than my previous system at $150.
Onboarding was a mess: my specialist was absent on go-live day without notice, and support was non-existent over the Labor Day weekend. The software itself is overly complex, missing promised features like flexible booking times and automated review posting to Google and Facebook. Finding simple reports is also near impossible; for instance, there’s no straightforward way to view day-end totals for individual services, retail sales, and cash and credit card payments in a single report. Group training was also unprofessional, with my onboarding specialist being rude and dismissive in front of my team.
After two weeks of constant issues and no real support, I tried to cancel but was told I was locked into a one-year commitment. Phorest has not only added stress but also wasted valuable time and money. I strongly advise other salon owners to look elsewhere.
If I could give no stars
If I could give no stars, I would. I tried to remove my credit card details from Phorest but there is no way for me to do this, I have frozen my credit card until I can phone my credit card company tomorrow to ask them to black list Phorest. It is shocking that the client I.e. customer cannot remove their credit card from their own account !!! I would and will never use this booking system again and I am sorry for the 3 salons that I use regulariy who have paid for this service . Which almost never works anyway !!!
Conclusion - After phoning Phorest and sending an email and speaking to my credit card company and the CCPC, I received a call back from a very helpful person in Phorest who agreed to remove my credit card from their system. I will use the old fashioned way of making my salon booking until such time as Phorest allow me to put up and remove my credit card details through my own account/ portal. I world just advise anyone else who shares my concerns to phone Phorest. CCPC advised me to get in touch with Data Protection if I got no satisfaction from Phorest. Thankfully, I didn't have to do that in the end.

Phorest software for massage therapist…
Phorest software for massage therapists does not work easily, you have to go through many steps to write a client SOAP note, and is hard to find the client's Health History...both applications are used constantly and in between appointments, we do not have much time to go for so many steps to find this information...My suggestion: 1- At least hire a massage therapist to design your software, 2- an engineer always complicates the system, 3- I will include an icon for Health History and another for SOAP notes right on the open page of the client info

We been using this software now for 2 years. I like most of what Phorest has to offer. The reason for giving 3 stars is that Phorest stops responding while you work on updates in inventory, prices etc. I have to shut down and restart, this is very annoying. And there seems to be no fix for that.

The step by step training videos were easy to follow and my team found them very helpful.
From a business point the system set up was very quickly done at a time which who cause less disruption.
This is not just an appointment booking program it’s a management and marketing tool to help run your business. With access whilst not at reception means I can work from home to complete any marketing to go out at a time to suit me.

Brilliant- not just software…
Brilliant company- not just a software company, they're a business support company. There is so much within the software which saves a significant amount of time and money, such as marekting campaigns, wait list fucntionality, invite to google reviews (this more than tripled our new client visits) not to mention their workshops, auto emails for new clients and aftercare, e consulations and after 17 years has reduced our cashing up from 15-30mins to 5 mins. Would recommend.
