Tried to get a mortgage, spend lots of time gathering documentation, they approve it. Then there is an issue in the registry document and they shutdown my application. The issue is solvable and I only need a few days, but my request is already closed, cannot start a new one, they guy does not even call me to talk about this and all the documents I uploaded and time wasted for nothing. All over the most ridiculous issue in a document.

Beware on this company

Absolutely the most ridiculous experience. I attempted to become a client. However, via using the app and website on both my tablet and my smartphone, I wasn't able to complete the application due to error messages and website bugs. I spent time on the phone with their customer service at the end of the call the representative told me that because they couldn't get it to work, I couldn't be a client of the bank. I have never had a bank deny me as a client due to their bad infrastructure. Im sure its for the best because why would put my money in an institution that can't build a functional website or app.

After uploading all my personal informations including my DL and picture, they rejected my application. I called CS and the reply was the sytem looked me out because my photo quality did not pass the system requirements and there's nothing they can do about it.

I opened an account with Pi Bank because of the attractive interest rate. It was very easy to transfer my money IN to my account using the Plaid software. However, when I wanted to transfer money OUT of my account I learned for the first time that the only way to do that is to enter all of my banking information, again, and send myself a wire transfer. AND since my bank charges an incoming wire transfer fee, I will be out the fee that it costs me just to get my money back! I have now closed my account and will NEVER do business with this bank again.

Absolutely the least user/customer-friendly bank and app ever. The app is in a continuous loop of "user session expired" and sending a new 4-digit code. You try to sign in again and get the same response, and it sends another code, rinse and repeat. I can't access my money and need to get it out before this company completely tanks.

SCAM ALERT !!! PROVIDED all personal info and without explanation declined my biometrics application - no reason ever provided. Unless you want your person info floating on the internet and a scam bank. don't fall for this bogus scam

I read the reviews and decided to give them a shot. I have had an absolutely horrible experience. They will not let you transfer out the money and you are not able to close the account unless all money is transferred out. There is NO WAY to get your money back, at all. I've reached out about 15 times and they just give an alert that your inquiry is "completed" but they do nothing to resolve it, and don't even leave any feedback on what they've done. Literally, they just state that the request has been completed and that's it - there is no resolution and no talking. This isn't a bank, its a scam. Do not use.

I have also experience numerous issues since opening an account in Jan. 2025. Difficult to reach customer service via telephone (30+ min wait), no chat option available, etc. I've tried for the last 2 weeks to transfer MY money out of Pibank, without success. Today I filed a consumer complaint with OCC, after speaking w/FDIC. I hope to eventually retrieve my funds and they get shut down.

PiBank does not have any website that you can access. They just have a mobile app which is very basic.

They only allow to transfer money into the bank and they have not provided any option to transfer money out of the bank! - There is no option to link external bank account to PiBank.

As suggested by PiBank customer service, I tried to add the Pibank account to my BOA account and that is getting errored out. As Per BOA, since pibank does not have an option to send money out, BOA is unable to link pibank account as "Transfer to and from external account". BOA representative said you can only link pibank account as "Transfer to" and wont be able to fetch Money from Pibank with that option.

I wish I had known about this before initiating 50K transfer from PIBank via PLAID.

This is the most shady banking institution I have come across in my entire life. And I have accounts with many other banks and credit unions!
