This company offers a terrible product

This company offers a terrible product, it didn’t do what they say, their admin is terrible until they want debt collected. I was contacted by Pinpoint media to create and run videos in Gym and Leisure Centres locally. The salesman came to my house and I did feel under pressure to sign but I still did. Production of the video was fine but the actual viewing of the video was terrible. I actually went to the leisure centre in Cheadle where it was supposed to be playing. I stood looking for it for about 30mins but I didn’t see it play at all. I was expecting to at least get a few calls but I received no phone calls or enquiry’s at all. After 2 months they made a mistake on their paperwork and all payments stopped. I thought that’s good as I only paid £621 for their work. I didn’t hear anything until January this year when I get a telephone debt recovery company calling asking for all the money. I said I hadn’t got any money because of lockdown and I go no work from the advert. I said I would pay the remainder in instalments even though I thought their service was terrible and it was a bad idea. They said they couldn’t take instalments. I now have a demand letter for all the monies of it plus £250 extra charges. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE ADVERTISING SHARKS!

Absolute scam

Absolute scam! All the 1 star reviews are just what happened to me! Took £1482 out of my account with zero advertising. Considering not a single venue has been open I find it hard to see what I'm supposed to of payed for. This has been my first few years of a new shop and this has been devastating to my small business and with lockdown. Then to receive an email saying you have signed me up for a second year!
I want a full refund.
I will be taking this further!
I just hope you don't catch anyone else in your cowboy net!
I spoke to a 'boy' over the phone who had no sympathy at all just the fact that I had signed a contract.
Just to let you know you didn't stick to your part of the "contract".
Please don't use theses guys!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
As a business owner myself I know how much a bad review can impact a company when the business hasn’t had chance to rectify the issue, so I haven’t taken this review lightly and I have been giving so called ‘Leisure Channel’ 8 months + to refund me for the service or more like a complete con.
I was first sold by the salesman something that should have been extremely high quality work and promised videography of my business to go on the Tv’s in the BAE leisure centre.
After i signed on the dotted line... from there on it just went down hill.
I was completely miss sold and i was left with a shabby art workout’ which i could have done better on canva.
I was told they wouldn’t be providing a video which i was promised on signing up.
I refused the art work and told them not to proceed with the works.
They ignored me and carried on anyway, and more to the point kept taking large sums of money from my account, i managed to block payments at my bank for formally pin point media.
They changed the name of the business to ‘Leisure Channel’ (i presume because of the amount of bad press they had)
Leisure channel then went and illegally took money out of my account under the new name! Had to call the bank to get my money back.
They then also tried to tie me
into a second year and luckily after endless calls to the ‘operations manager’ Rhys he finally agreed to cancel the second year. He played this off as if he was doing me a ‘favour’
The whole situation and company is a complete con and I don’t know how Darren Spedding the director and his team can get away with it.
By looking at other reviews i don’t look like i’m the only one to be conned and sure much more to come.
Avoid at all costs and i’m sure Karma will creep back round at some point!

Many thanks for your review. I can only apologise if you feel that our level of service has not been to your expectation.
We ensure that our agreements with clients are set out so that all clients are aware of exactly what they are entering into. Our processes are also confirmed over the telephone, and by our sales representatives. Please accept our apologies if you have misunderstood these each time. Our agreements are automatically renewable, this is not something that is hidden and we have clients who are more than happy with our service, who choose to take advantage of this.

In your particular case, the decision was made to resolve your discrepancy in an amicable fashion, in order to appease your claims. This was done, and at all times we have acted within the terms and conditions of the agreement in which you entered.

I would like to wish you all the best for the future,

Regards

Bad investment!

I can’t comment on the advertising boards as I have not seen one, what I can say as this proved a bad investment for our company as we never even had one mention of our advert getting seen in 12 months, thats not to say it wont work for other companies, what everyone should be aware of is the cancellation policy and the auto renew, when you sign an agreement the salesman will tell you year two is optional and it will say this on your agreement, what they wont tell you is that if you don’t cancel the “optional” 2nd year in writing they will auto renew your contract, typical salesmen tactics put a cross in the box “sign here, here and here just standard terms and conditions you know” not standard terms and conditions at all, any company that has to operate in this way has something to hide, its unethical and sneaky, leisure centres aren’t even open and my 2nd year adverts have not started but they still want to try and force me into a second year,
Forcing people to buy things they don’t want is wrong, its not like they had to make a product for us or as if its a bespoke service its just a con from an unethical company, My advice is to avoid avoid avoid.

In response to your reply, your contracts have the choice between optional for the second year or you can choose to sign up for two years in a row, this is on the front of them, its not till you delve into this within the terms and conditions (that your salesman brush over while they get you to sign), that you find out its optional but will still auto renew if you dont cancel which defeats the object of “optional” for a second year, it was miss sold to me on this basis, i dont know how you can’t find any correspondence from me either because I have an email from you saying i have to pay my invoice immediately, this was sent to me after I questioned the auto renew and said I would not be paying for a second year!
I shall see you in court and you wont be getting a penny more off me.

Thankyou for your feedback.

Unfortunately, at this moment in time we do not offer advertising ‘boards’ at any of our venues.
For transparency, all of our agreements state they are automatically renewable agreements on the front and reverse of the contract – this is something that we do not hide and many of our clients take advantage of this each year.

Due to the current pandemic, we are pausing all advertising time for our clients, to ensure that they receive exactly what they have paid for when the venues reopen.

I have looked into our records, and see no correspondence from yourself, however should you wish to get in touch to discuss this further please email hello@leisurechannel.co.uk and I will be happy to assist.

Kind Regards

Great support for our new website build from Pinpoint Media

Great support from Johnnie Walker of Pinpoint Media in creating us a fabulous new website. Nothing was too much trouble and he was so relaxed about everything. The transition from old to new was smooth. It was a pleasure working with him. I know Pinpoint Media do so much more than building websites, so I hope to get an opportunity to work with them again on another project in the future. Thanks Johnnie.

Highly recommended! - we have been working with Pinpoint Media on a recent advertising campaign, in particular with Giles Hellon, who helped design our electronic advert. He was great to deal with, had good attention to detail and was very patient throughout the process.

Thank you for your help.
