Do not use, they don't respond to Telephone Calls, after taking a deposit and cancelling a schedule install

Had my first solar panels installed by Pipe and Cable team. Overall a very satisfactory experience. To begin with: Jon Worsfold came to my house to describe the system he sells, the specs of his products, all the details on warranties, yields, erc. Very technical, completely different from the salesmen I faced from other companies, whose selling technique is based on demolishing the competitors.
The contract was modified to my needs, and the job was done as per timeline, midi Fabio. The team is very competent, fast and acvurate. The final layout was impressively neat and tidy. Since then, the system is working just fine. I contacted Jon a few times for some technical questions and he answered after a reasonable time with technical knowledge.
Pros: evrything apart an initial lack of training on how to use the app in a more advanced way.
Cons: nothing excerpt the lack of info on the app.
As advice, I would urge to make a simple but effective video on how to use the TOU and learn how to import and export Energy at different time of each day, as this is all you really need to know at the start
I would use PipeandCable again for solar and also plumbing, as they are competent and effective.

update: I tried to contact the owner, Jonathan Worsfold, many times, via email, whatsapp and text. Not a single reply has come and he keeps refusing any calls. I have also checked online and the company PipeandCalble is over apparently, however he has opened a new company somewhere and still working, as a friend of mine got a quote from him. It seems logical to conclude that once the money have been taken, then the messages stop, no more communications, it's your problem now.
I would definitely not contact this guy again.

Great company - spoke to quite a few companies prior to choosing Pipe and Cable for our small Solar PV and battery installation and I’m extremely happy with my choice . From the outset Jon was informative and helpful coming over in person (many companies didn’t bother and charged if wanted a visit) taking the time to understand my needs. The workmanship was top quality and the installation to the standard required. They were quick, efficient and delivered on all promises - highly recommended

Great company, family run, professional guy. They take longer than others to give you a tailored quote but it seemed to be leagues above the rest.

Ended up going with a different option since the other companies were very aggressive with time-limited discounts, but I find myself regretting that I didn't at least let them know so I could get a ballpark of their offer. Hopefully this info is of use to others in the Cambridgeshire area.

I am very pleased with my recent solar installation. I needed the work to follow my roof replacement so that I could utilise the scaffolding that was in place. At my initial survey Jon agreed that he could schedule the work with a bit of flexibility to fit with the roofing contractor. Everything was completed on time by an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly team. The equipment has worked perfectly since commissioning and I would use this local company again.

Pipe and Cable recently installed a solar panel system to our house. Jon did the initial survey and helped us choose the right type and size of system. System was fitted and Jon was on hand to answer any queries. 1st class service and a system that is operating beyond our expectations.

Before taking any action to install solar panels, it is highly recommended to engage in conversation with them. They have proven themselves to be an exceptionally professional and supportive team right from the start. The installation process was excellent, and the entire team maintained effective communication throughout.

From the visit to give a quote, through to installation, the people involved were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions. The installation was done smoothly and without inconvenience and we've been delighted with the results.

Excellent company to use for solar panel installation with battery storage. Very competitive, knowledgeable and professional from the initial survey to completion of the installation.

Good initial service, professional installation. Not so great on answering after care phone calls.

After a very positive experience with the quotation and installation process, I was anticipating a similar level of service when issues arose. To maintain the warranty, the boiler had to be serviced annually. In my naivety, I thought a service would be a ten-minute affair and free of charge. I was wrong, and more work was entailed, so when I challenged the cost it was explained and I paid the invoice. The next annual service, as well as the following year, were never offered and the boiler failed, while we were on holiday during the very cold snap in Dec 2022, due to a service item not having been carried out. Two burst pipes followed when the engineer tried to sort the boiler out. As he was on site, damage was limited to around £350. 2½ months later, the boiler shut down again and, when Pipe & Cable (P&C) were asked to help, I was told they were "no longer taking on gas works" and that "Its not pipe and cables responsibility to arrange the service of every customer". When P&C reduced their service levels, they should have informed all customers that they should look elsewhere for support for their gas installations, rather than be given that message during a moment of crisis.

We had a very positive experience when our new boiler was fitted recently. Greg did an excellent job of installing this and four new radiators as well. We were a bit apprehensive whilst waiting for the engineer to turn up but we needn’t had worried as we found Greg polite and friendly as well as professional.
It was all thanks to Ben who came out to give us the quote that we decided to chose Pipe and Cable for our installation. He explained things clearly to us especially when we had some questions to ask him later. It was also easy to contact the office and speak to either Hayley or Zoe.
So we will not hesitate in recommending Pipe and Cable to anyone who is looking at getting a new boiler installed.

How refreshing to find an honest, capable company such as Pipe & Cable. They recently fitted a new Viessman Boiler to my property. Ben, came along and surveyed the house and existing installation, then provided a good quote, better than others I had asked to quote. On the day of the installation Greg arrived at the agreed time and within what seemed a very short space of time, the new boiler was installed, in a new position. piped up, wired up, commissioned and all working. He certainly know his stuff. I can highly recommend Greg. He even tidied away all the rubbish etc. produced and that was that. Fantastic.

We recently had a new bathroom fitted by PipeandCable they did a fantastic job, they were hit with a few challenges but worked through them with ease and professionalism , they are an experienced and dedicated team and provided a five star service from start to finish. Thank you for our beautiful beautiful bathroom.

We had 2 bathrooms fitted by Pipe & Cable and couldn’t be happier. The service from start to finish was brilliant, we had regular emails from Hayley updating us and knew what was happening. The bathroom fitter Paul was superb, he and Ben went through every step with us so that we knew what was happening each day and gave some great ideas. Every trade person that Ben sent round was polite, on time and did their jobs without any problems. The decorator was equally as good, so much so he has decorated the rest of our house too. We have used Ben for other work previously and would always go back to him for any future work.

All the works were carried out, exactly as agreed, neatly, smoothly and without fuss by a team of friendly people. They not only worked very well together but also in and around my home to suit me. The finished installation has performed perfectly from the beginning and has positively transformed my home for very much the better.

Replacement of a boiler is usually a stressful situation, Pipe & Cable took that away, affordable based on best standards, staff were friendly and professional, all round the best decision made in years. Thank You all, one happy customer.

A great price, fantastic workers. All staff very polite. Hard working and clean up as they go.
Greg was our heating engineer. He never stopped all day. Two other younger staff members came round and they also was a great asset to the company.
