TERRIBLE SALES TEAM - Otherwise I like it

Yeah, everything is buggy and breaks sometimes on any platform but I've been happy with the service but WORST SALES TEAM EVER! I have NEVER felt like someone wanted my money less. I reached out to their sales team via the channel they required, no response, reached out again got an email, I responded, no response, I reached out again brush off response no follow up ever. Another team member had the exact same experience 6 months to a year later. Not sure why they hate money. They clearly not commissioned sales people. I wonder if it's because they're not planning on supporting it for long?

The triggers and way the AI helps you…

The triggers and way the AI helps you is very great. Customer service was fantastic I had a billing issue and they immediately refunded me.

Keep up the good work I think the other reviewers were just unsure what pipedream ai was

Not Simple to Use as Promoted

I saw an interview with their CEO who said this was great for someone who isn't a coder. Well, $100+ and 10 hours later, I can attest that isn't true. I'm a strong user of software, just not a coder. The system is not very good. The AI just doesn't do a good job creating the automations.

The system burns through credits very fast.

I cancelled the service but the billed me for the renewal anyway. To add insult to injury, when I emailed them about this, they wanted me to go to their support portal and open a ticket there. I feel like I have spent enough time on this and I wasn't going to invest more of my time to fix their billing issue, so I just disputed it with my bank.

Also, they send emails from the CEO and lead of their customer team asking for feedback, but they don't respond to any of that feedback.

Clogged pipes 💩☹️

Former advocate and affiliate partner turned hater here.

For context, I know one of Pipedream's founders from college and have long been a supporter and advocate in part because the product is differentiated (for now) in a crowded space and in part because I like to see people I know succeed.

Fast forward, and over the last 2-3 years, I have had tremendous amounts of trouble with Pipedream's product and team. The product would just magically break, the team would try to upsell me rather than address my questions directly: "If you just upgrade your account (which I had literally upgraded the day prior) to the next plan up, we can look at this issue that caused you to upgrade your account in the first place for you." Product issues are one thing. People issues are another.

Since January or December, I have been a Pipedream affiliate, which basically means that Pipedream and I have entered into an agreement where I get some percentage of revenue that I refer to their company. To say that my experience as an affiliate has been poor is an understatement.

I directly signed up two clients myself - as in I literally created the accounts myself - and in spite of being in direct contact with CEO Tod Saceroti himself issue, my affiliate account has not been correctly credited for the revenue I generated for them. As of this morning, it has been going on six weeks and the team there has not addressed the issues. My first email with the complaint occurred on March 29. On May 1, Tod told me the issue was fixed, but he or whoever fixed it did not credit me for the correct revenue amount. So it took me 32 days to get them to do a bang up job, and now it's been nearly another week, and despite having sent seven follow up emails over the last six days, I have not gotten a response.

The reality here is that Tod, and likely many members of his team, are treating me like a jerk when all I have done for years is try to help them be successful. That sort of relationship is exactly the type I'm opting out of going forward, like I wrote yesterday. I'm done working with jerks who treat me like a a jerk for trying to help them succeed. As such, I no longer recommend Pipedream as a product and will no longer be assisting them with their affiliate marketing.

If you're looking for alternative services, here are some alternatives in the space, ordered from least to most complex: Zapier, Make, AWS Lambda.

I encourage anyone who gets treated like a second class citizen like I have been by Tod and the team at Pipedream to take their business elsewhere, and will be churning as a user and no longer recommending their product.

In general, I think that if more people consumed in this fashion, we'd clean a lot of the shit out of the pipes of this country and world. Ironically for a company named Pipedream, they themselves are the shit needing to be pushed out of plumbing.

Free Trial - Ends Up Paying $588

I was testing out Pipedream.com for a business idea, I had to use one of their features that required an Advanced Plan, so I decided to try out their 7-day free trial. I had to first see if my idea would work on their platform. It didn't work out exactly as I planned so I decided to cancel the free trial and try something else, after cancelling the advanced plan, they kept trying to debit my credit card and take $588 from my account. The worst thing is, they don't allow you to cancel your card's details on their website. So, for a week they kept trying to debit $588 and I had no reply from their support, so I decided to cancel my credit card and order a new one.

After getting my salary paid and there was enough money in my account, they somehow managed to debit the $588 even after I cancelled the card at my bank. Now I am trying again to contact support at Pipedream.com, asking them for a refund, I am not going to be using their services, so they can refund me and even close my account. But I am failing to get any response from them... WHAT A SCAM!!!

Our free trial lasts for 7 days and you’re welcome to cancel at any time—even before the trial period ends.

In your case, it appears that your debit card wasn’t charged initially due to insufficient funds. Once your salary was deposited, our automatic system processed the charge and debited your card.

We strive to be very flexible with refunds. When a customer contacts us about a mistaken payment, we review the request promptly and issue a refund if it’s within 30 days of the annual subscription start date.

With that in mind, we have refunded your payment of $588.

I was exploring Zapier and other alternatives to manage the fulfilment process for my sales. I got to know about Pipedream through tradingview community and must say that I was blown away by the features it offers. It appealed more than Zapier for me as this is so much developer-oriented and offers a very good flexibility of choosing between built-in components and ability to build customised integrations.

Amount of value the product adds to me and my business is invaluable. I will recommend pipedream any day.
