Don’t waste your money. Exams were never sent on time, woman in the office hasn’t a clue what bloody day it is. Data breach and stopped replying so I could book in an exam in the time frame. Way overpriced for the service they give. Absolutely shocking

In 2021 I was made redundant from a position I had held for almost thirty years. At this point, I was considering a career change and early 2022 Career Wales informed me of the REACT scheme. I was given a number of training providers to consider. I researched these and called their relevant offices. The call to Pitman Office in Cardiff was particularly memorable as I spoke to a very helpful lady called Hazia. She was very friendly and displayed genuine interest whilst listening to what training I wanted to undertake and discussed the courses that would help me achieve my goals. This was not my experience with the other training providers and I immediately decided to learn with Pitman even though they were the furthest away of all the training providers I contacted.

I chose to enroll in ICDL, Book-Keeping Transactions & Controls 1, and Sage 50 accounts. I was able to complete a large part of the required study at home. The courses were interesting and well set out with the opportunity to take a practice test before the validation test was attempted. For the parts of the training that required me to attend the center in Cardiff, I was always made very welcome by the team and also had a magnificent view of Cardiff Castle. Here I met Phil the Centre Manager who was my main support throughout my time with Pitman Cardiff. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, kind, and always happy to help. The team at Pitman Cardiff is fantastic. Their positivity gives the center great energy and I honestly cannot recommend them all highly enough. So good was my experience it gave me a thirst for knowledge and the courage to enroll in a degree course.

My son had his AAT exam cancelled 14 hours before he was sitting it. He was then rebooked in on a date then not told about it. He was then told he was booked in on another date and when he arrived there was no record of the booking. They tried to accommodate but then they could not get internet access so sent him home. Appalling service provider.

I love the experience I’ve had with Pitman.
Lovely coaches and the program was very flexible which is a big plus for full time employees.
Some of the modules were not easy, but thanks to my coaches did it. They trusted my knowledge when I thought I’ll never make it.
Their help and support made it a lot easier.
Finally got my diploma with Distinction.

After 2 years finally my case arrived in Court . Anyway Pitman training didn’t want to give information about a payment made in my name by HCPS training Watford. Practically never made and never start the course like they’ve pretended. They didn’t know that the defendant recognised that nothing was paid under my name at last mediation. A lot of different confusing things has been declared like HCPS training saying that a huge upfront was paid , after a couple of months Pitman training said that the hole amount for the AAT course was paid in July 2019. Hopefully now someone with authority is gone ask both to provide evidence of what they’ve declared till now.

Ashya was brilliant from start to finish with me helped me throughout the course and was very professional at all times really enjoyed doing my course :)

AAT Accounting Course - highly recommend pitman training. Very reasonable prices for the course including exams especially when I compared to other AAT training providers. Excellent support from both the online tutors who respond very quickly to queries as well as Pitman Brighton test centre. Special thank you to Joy at the test centre for rearranging my exam at last minute due to catching covid. Very friendly people who truly support and help you to succeed.

Definitely not worth the money they charge. Terrible and very boring videos for the Graphic Design Diploma, near to no practical aspects to any of the courses! You would think for a design course it would be predominantly practical-based skills using the Adobe software, but it was just videos on how the software works and no actual practical elements.

I asked for help to build a portfolio that you need for any graphic design job and didn't get any answers/help I needed. The customer service was okay at the beginning of the course by having course reviews, but felt like you get forgotten about further down the line (I rarely got replies from anyone).

Overall, poor experience and definitely not worth the money! For anyone who wants to complete a design course, do not use Pitman and go elsewhere!

Overpriced courses and poor content. Refused to refund £300 deposit whilst still in cooling off period despite not having marked anything. Pressurised selling and poor customer service. Go elsewhere.

Just finished my medical office course with pitman training. The service and support from dave, nicola and Amanda were outstanding! They could not do enough to help me throughout my course and I could not speak higher or recommend them enough. I will take all that I have learnt now with me to successfully finding my perfect job within the NHS. Thanks again!

Boring videos, no one support you with anything. No one will help you rewrite your CV, they will offer discount for a company where you will have to pay another £100 to update your CV. No one is helping you to find a job offers, no one prepare you for an interview after the course. I had an issue with project and "experienced" teachers didn't know how to resolve it. Very disappointed, waste of money and waste of time.

Absolutely appalling experience. I booked my examination with this exam provider paying the highest rate in local area and expecting nothing more than to sit on the examination with a peace of mind. The employee on site was unprofessional and unable to resolve an issue. Throughout the exam the phone was constantly ringing for 16min (trust me, I clocked it) whilst the employee was taking business related video calls. When myself and another student came up to complain that we expect peace and quiet to concentrate, he explained I am on a meeting and I’m as quiet as I can be. He didn’t action the phone and continued having calls in a very small area around all the students. I literally had to stand up and pick the phone up because it wouldn’t stop calling. The examinations take place two days a week and I would expect that the 1,5h you spend on the exam should be stress free and assisting the students as they will be a returning business either through examinations or training. As if students aren’t stressed on exam day this just added more stress and I am sure would effect anyones results. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER (I was in the Reading site), as they will not respect your business or understand how to assist the students needs. Unprofessional and disgusting experience.

I am currently doing the Virtual Assistant Diploma with Pitman.In my opinion the courses are extremely valuable in regards to working online or changing your career to I.T
It covers a variety of different pathways.the customer care services is brilliant and the tutors are Friendly, Understanding and Supportive. I highly recommend Pitman training to all.

I did the Medical Secretary Diploma course. The managers and supervisors were excellent and very helpful even during the lockdown. My supervisor rang me how's my progress time to time which supported me mentally. They expected you to learn by yourself. Though they also help when needed. They encourage
youto master self learning ASAP. At the end you'll enjoy the exams!
I've got my job I wanted. This self learning process would help you for completing your new job position,too.

I made an enquiry via the website on Sunday regarding a bookkeeping course. I did not receive reply and so called them yesterday on the generic phone number to be told that someone would call me back .... which they didn’t do.

I then tried to call both the Birmingham and Leicester office this morning but no one answered. I then got through to the Newcastle office who to be fair to them tried to be helpful. However, the price I was quoted for an online course was extortionate. Instead I enrolled with ICS who based on this experience,are much more easier to contact, helpful and reasonably priced.

Please be aware when booking any course with Pitman training when they say they have "tutors" or "course coaches" none of these people are actually qualified teachers, they are admin people only working there. I did the book keeping course with them and was shocked to find out that when I rang looking for some help with the course and some advice etc, I was informed they had no one who could help me!! the course cost the bones of €3,000 and you get zero professional help. They also let you take in all your books, notes and phone into any test which of course makes it easier to pass!!

The Socrates software course with Pitman training in Lisbaun indust estate Galway was the best thing I ever did. Brilliant course which opened great opportunities for me. I went on to work as a medical secretary in a doctors practice and after one and half years doing this I now work as a clerical officer within the HSE. Would definitely recommend. And it's not expensive for the opportunities you get out of it.

I would avoid pitman if possible. I enquired about a legal secretarial course and had a fast response however when asking for a full prospectus of the course I was told they didn't have one. This should be a minimum requirement when promoting courses as it has details of what the course is, how its carried out etc. All the applying and speaking is done via email and is done very unprofessionally. This company is looking for money and were going to charge me so much more then needed.
