Guy is a scammer pretending to offer web design work. Will waste your time getting you to come up with an estimate then try to scam you claiming he can only pay by mailing a cashier check, which will lead into a scam where he’ll offer other “work” where you get to send money to other people. The check will of course be fake and the only money sent to anyone will be yours if you’re an idiot enough to fall for this boneheaded ruse. Hopefully you found these reviews of this guy before wasting too much time. I actually humored him to give him the benefit of the doubt. Don’t bother, he’s 100% a scumbag that only wants to steal from and harm people

This "photographer" advertises a website design gig on Craigslist, then never responds to requests to speak live. Once you agree to a project fee via email, he then says he can only pay via "certified" bank check rather than PayPal or Venmo. Then he needs you to "assist with other tasks" like placing ads, and forwarding deposits to additional parties via CashApp, etc. Seemed fishy, but I wound up receiving a check that appeared to be real. However, the business name didn't line up, and it was sent from an obscure return address/name and postmarked from yet another state. I am destroying the check and reported it to the apparent issuing bank to investigate for fraud. It was a believable scam initially because he emailed a detailed package of web design content -- it definitely seemed legitimate until the "other tasks" came up. I couldn't find any trace of human existence when searching the photographer's assumed identity ("Francis 'Frank' Ariuba") online. He once claimed to be in Curacao. Who knows. Anyone looking for legitimate work from Craigslist gigs, watch out for this guy!
