What sold me was the one-time license. I was tired of subscription CAD tools

I’m not an architect, but I planned together with my wife. We both found it easy to use, and it was fun to test different ideas together

I run it on Parallels on my MacBook – works smoother than I expected and doesn’t overheat like other programs

My wife and I are both using the software — she runs it on her MacBook with UTM, while I’m working on a Windows PC. I spent a few days creating our floor plan and then passed the file to her so she could try out renovation ideas and different layouts. In the beginning the many buttons and options feel a bit overwhelming, but once you get familiar with the interface, the workflow becomes much quicker. My wife especially enjoys working with it. The only thing we’d like to see improved are the 3D navigation controls, which could be a bit more intuitive — hopefully something for a future update.

I went through several of the tutorial videos before deciding on the Pro version of Plan7Architect. Watching them is definitely worthwhile, as they make it much easier to get the most out of the software. I’m very happy with my choice — the program works great and I’m fully satisfied with it.

As someone who only needed to draw a renovation plan for the city, Plan7 did exactly what I wanted without me spending a fortune on pro software

I installed Plan7Architect on my iMac via UTM, and it has been running very smoothly so far. The interface is easy to get used to, even for beginners. After watching just a few tutorial videos, I was already able to create my first drawings. Whenever I run into a question, I simply check the relevant tutorial, and that way I’m making steady progress step by step.

We set up the Pro version on our Mac following the installation video, and everything worked without any issues. The software runs smoothly, and we’ve already completed our first floor plans. I think it’s a very versatile program, well-suited for various planning tasks, and we’re currently using it to explore and develop our first design concepts.

I’m 67 years old and have tried countless architecture programs over the years. This one really impressed me. The handling is straightforward and with a bit of practice, you quickly get into it — even at my age. It’s not completely plug-and-play, so I recommend taking the time to go through the tutorials. Especially the step-by-step videos, where entire houses are designed from scratch, are extremely helpful. For the price the Pro version offers excellent value.

At first I hesitated because of the price, but after using it I realized it’s actually inexpensive compared to what you get. One-time payment, no extra fees, and plenty of features.

After testing other programs that were either too complex or too limited, Plan7Architect hit the sweet spot. Clear interface, professional functions, and I don’t feel overwhelmed.

I bought Plan7Architect mainly to work on a house extension. The software feels reliable and precise, and I was surprised how professional the plans look once exported. It’s not just a sketching tool – you can really develop a full project with it.

The 3D view is a big help for explaining ideas to builders and family, and the fact that it runs smoothly on my computer makes it even better. Overall, a solid product that does exactly what I needed.
