I’ve been using Plastk since Feb 2022…

Update:

Finally got the deposit back after 7 months

I’ve been using Plastk since Feb 2022 till November 2022 and was expecting the refund on January 27th and nothing. I tried to e mail them million times but the same response - you are in a queue and etc.. I’m so confused and desperate and I really need my $1.5k back! Such a shame it’s happening in Canada..

Not even worth 1 star

Not even worth 1 star. Stay away from these people. Gave my deposit in October and never received a card. Canceled the application in January after months of hearing about the back end team excuses. It’s now April, still have not returned my money. An absolute joke and crime of a company. Irony how they want to help but can’t even pay off their own debts.
As we can all see by this robotic reply everyone gets it shows even a lack of effort on Plastks staff.
Why not consolidate your debts and pay people the money you owe people? Robot replies do nothing for your case. Give people back the money you stole from them already, enough excuses.

Fruad

Fruad, lets all come together and report to law enforcement agencies. These crooks should be behind bars. I am still waiting for my card cancellation for 7 months, they are not only charging monthly fees but reporting to equifax.

Lost visa sponsorship, can't use card

August 9 2023. Still have not gotten my deposit back. Should of had it in March!! They never reported to equifax until they cancelled my account so they F$$@ my credit score showing a closed account that never had payments. Have emailed them monthly asking for my deposit back and every month I get told there is a delay...they apologize....blah blah blah. Total waste of time. Had the card for 6 Months that's after waiting 2 months because they said there was a delay in the cards being produced. It took me threatening to file a fraud complaint with my bank to get the card. Now for the last 3 weeks I cannot use my card and it is because DC bank has severed Visa sponsorship however no one will tell me why. So after multiple emails With nothing but scripted responses I have finally canceled my card. To top it off they still have not reported to Equifax , beware.

Thank you for everyone telling me about…

Thank you for everyone telling me about the problems with this company because I was about to use them. They had said they offer rewards points for new customers but now I don't believe it. Will check what GOOGLE REVIEWS have to say about this company. What I find funny is how Plastk has such high reviews on GOOGLE but not here so not sure why that is.

I would give this "organization" a zero…

I would give this "organization" a zero if I could. I requested for my account to be closed a month ago and they went radio silent. they also have charged fees to my account that DO NOT fall within their own terms and services. Absolutely disgusting. Will be following through with formal complaints to the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada.

Company has gone bankrupt

Company has gone bankrupt, no one will get security deposit back. Cards no longer working, for months been taking new security deposits without issuing cards, and delaying security deposits for 9 months blaming technical issues. Truth is owner spent / took all security deposits and now can't refund security deposits for months or issue new cards. DC bank caught on to the scam and stopped doing business with them like other companies months back

My card hasn't worked in a long time!!!

My card hasn't worked for weeks..
This company is brutal. I can't even make a payment.
I can't even reach a customer service agent most of the time. I will be asking for my deposit back and the remaining funds sent to me by check. I'm totally done with PlastK! Stay far away from this company. They just take your money and you'll never see it again.
They have double charged me monthly and annual fees with no refund. They're full of excuses!
If there's a class action suit against them, you can bet I'll be joining that movement!!!

Don't believe them when they tell you…

Don't believe them when they tell you the card will work in the USA, it doesn't 95% of the time. It was so bad we filled formal complaints (after it ruining our trip). After weeks and weeks of back and forth, they stated they had it fixed and it would no problem any more. We were offered compensation that we never received. We went back to the USA again, and AGAIN, it did not work. Just horrible. Now they are struggling with court action and my card has not worked for weeks!

Absolute worst CC service ever

Absolute worst CC service ever. When I say worst trust I mean worst. Let’s start with the cards service works when it wants, without notification card goes down for at least 24 hours leaving ppl stranded, and getting a BS answer like, sorry our back team is fixing it. This happens at least 3 times a month. Now it’s been over a week (March 13 2023) DC Bank is in trouble (there provider) and plastk has no money to let people continue to use there secure cards leaving peoples money hostage and totally at the mercy of them finding a new provider or literally closing. They tell you whatever non sense they can to make you think all is ok. Let’s not forget how we showed them of two fraudulent charges to companies that don’t even exist and they tell you, nope you made these charges. They don't protect there clients at all. I actually had to argue with one of there brilliant CSRs that two was fraudulent and to put in a claim. Told me they would, only one made it, and they allowed $500 of fraudulent charges. But they felt the need to send a new card. Lmao. You get brilliant over seas CSRs so be prepared for that as well. Good luck to anyone that uses this card. Over 6 months if you want your secured funds back also. This place, it’s brass and minions are an absolute joke.

It's not our problem you have issues with DC Bank. Refund us immediately

Wow. Multiple issues with the card, now the change partnership with DC bank? I'll bet they only now are addressing it due to multiple people mentioning it across social media

"Unfortunately, due to changes in our partnership with DC Bank, we have been unable to provide services to customers with cards issued by DC Bank. We are currently in the process of refunding any remaining balances to customers with DC Bank cards" was pulled from one of their replies on here" And how long will this take? Days, weeks, months,? How will said refund be issued, via cheque by snail mail, e-transfer? It should rightfully be e-transfer since this issue is your fault/problem and not ours. Plenty of people are not too impressed,.myself being one of them. Now I can't buy any groceries until payday thanks to our money being held hostage.

It’s been 5 days since I’ve had any…

It’s been 5 days since I’ve had any ability to do anything with my account. All my automated payments are being declined with no cause. I’ve called and messaged and have been told it’s a server/tech issue and will be resolved shortly. It’s not. It hasn’t. What a nightmare

Cash grav that should be illegal

Hidden monthly fees, high interest rates, the worst customer service I've ever experienced, service is constantly down with no eta of services being restored, I would only send people I didn't like so they could waste money. Can't close my account either. They always have some excuse that this department is busy, or short staffed or their systems are down. It's a straight up cash grab.

Complete fraud artists

Complete fraud artist. I had this card for 2 years now originally I put 500 on it never had an issue up until now. The second I put over $1000 they froze my card and have bs excuses blaming the problem with their payment processing platform via DC bank. The man responsible behind this fraudulent company is Motola Omobamiduro.

DO NOT GET PLASTK

I applied for plastk credit card in November 2022 after waiting about 3 weeks and when I contacted them they said we have an issue with printing cards, so I cancelled on December 13 2022 they said you’ll receive your refunds after 60 days well guess what I still didn’t get my refund back, I think i will contact my lawyer and sue them for stealing my money and not refunding them.

Card working now

Update. I was able to make purchases yesterday March 25th and today March 26th. Hope there are no more issues and that there's a smooth transition to their new bank when the time comes and there are no more interruptions in service. I will wait for a few months before changing my star rating just so I can be sure the changes stick.

Not reporting to equifax

I've been an on time paying customer for over a year now and have seen no improvement on my credit rating. In addition to the crazy extra fees that they charge the card consistently doesn't work. I feel defrauded and misled.

Thieves

I usually haven't had a problem, but I made a $1500.00 payment 5 days ago and am waiting for a $1000.00 security charge from a hotel from 2 weeks ago and nothing. I have called to find out where my $2500.00 is and I was told DC bank was having technical problems. I called DC bank and they informed me that they no longer are partnered with Plastk. So, it looks like I have been scammed along with many other people. Give me my money!!!!!
