I stayed in plates hotel with my boyfriend and we decided to have a brunch in the midday and that was the best place we could have gone bcause the view was so amazing and the food didnt dissapoint
i have been in esbjerg with my cooworkers and we decided to stay in hotel and reserved a table for dinner which was amazing from service to food and the view is spectacular

I am a regular all year round visitor to Plates.
Always recieved with a friendly smile from the courteous staff. This, together with great food and excellent choice of drinks makes for a great evening out........
I know there are a lot of nice positive reviews about Plates here in Esbjerg, That is the reason why we booked it for a conference dinner for over 30 people. We were looking forward to having the great experience that everyone was talking about but unfortunately, it is just the opposite experience that we experienced. There were people from all over Europe. The service sucked the waiter was rude. the accompaniments to the food came first and were cold and by the time the protein came, the accompaniments were eaten because no one knew what the food was. My colleague asked the waiter what the first course was he said fish so she ordered white wine when the food came it was veal which was better with red wine. With the service and food we got it was very embarrassing taking a group of foreigners and boasting that Plates is one of the best restaurants and ending up with such koas where the guests said it was better to have a hotdog. I know 33 people are many but a restaurant of this caliber should be able to handle it. Very Very disappointing and embarrassing
