Bait and Switch

Purchased a heroic Aberrus carry from their site. Night of the raid I contacted them for the invite, and was told that they had an error on their site, and if I wanted to go on the raid, it would cost an additional $200.

Now, as the seller has responded, I will add a few more details. After purchasing this armor and token priority run, I reached out to schedule. Their representative responded that I was booked for 7:30 PM EDT the following day (May 1).

I accepted this and was ready to go. No invite arrived, and I reached out again. This is when I was told by a different representative that it would be an additional $200 if I wanted to go on the run.

PlayCarry had over 24 hours from the time of purchase to contact me about their "mistake" but chose instead to let me sit and then, at the time of the raid, offer a higher price.

This is equivalent to purchasing concert or airline tickets at one price and then showing up at the gate and being asked for more money or denied entry and offered a refund.

In fact, as this is a UK company, in 2008, Parilament passed the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading regulations 2008. Schedule 1 of those Regulations lists commercial practices which, because of their inherently unfair nature, are prohibited in all circumstances. This is sometimes known as the banned list.
On that list of banned practices are:
Bait advertising – enticing the consumer with advertising around special prices when the trader knows that he cannot offer that product or only has a few in stock at that price.

Bait and switch – luring the consumer with attractive advertising of one product at a special price, with the intention of selling the consumer something else.

Under the Regulations, a trader commits a criminal offence if they engage in a banned commercial practice listed in Schedule 1.

The package I purchased was listed on their website. I added it to my cart, checked out, contacted their representatives via chat to schedule and was told that my slot was the next day. On that day, their representative stated the following:
"This is a very rare raid in itself because it essentially gets all the loot from its class and it physically cannot cost so cheap at the beginning of the season"

They had an advertised price on their website and had no intention of honoring the purchase of that service at the price it was listed.

All I asked for is that this company honor the package that was bought and paid for on their website, but they refused.

Hello dear customer. We are sorry to hear that you've had negative experience with us. Sadly you are correct, with the start of a Season 4 the regular Fyrakk runs are not the primary services we are offering but Awakened raids. With that being said, we had to decrease the number of regular Amirdrassil and Fyrakk runs to a 3-5 a day. Still the demand for those runs is high and those slots are usually prebooked. Especially before reset.

Terrible Service

Made an appointment for the following day from the time of my purchase. Rushed home from work to be online in time to do the runs. I was told to be 10 minutes early. Waited 30 minutes, no word from anyone. Sent a message to their discord. The guy told me and I quote, "I guess they aren't available. Can you come back in an hour. This was at 7PM. Came back at 8PM. Waited until 8:30. Had to ask support for help again. He told me to wait for another hour, "they are not answering." Finally at about 9:30PM a guy added me on battlenet and said they would be ready to go in a few minutes. 15 more minutes go by and I ask what's up. The guy is now in a dungeon. Tells me "just let me finish with this dungeon and then I'll invite you, chill dude." I wait another 45 minutes, and finally get an invite. It's just the one guy. He then sits in party with me for another 30 minutes before we actually start the run. Says we're going to do a 20 key for you instead of 15 to make up for the waiting. So I was like " ok I guess, but I can't stay up all night I have to work tomorrow let's go. They did not even finish the key inside the time limit and tried to blame it on me. Will not use them again.

Awakened Heroic Vault

I had a great time the whole raid took a little over an hour and half. There are many times to schedule which makes more convenient for those of us who don’t have a lot of time. I never seen so many pumpers in dps, but don’t worry if you die to mechanic like polar charges in Razargeth, the people who are their to help seems like they have skill to run it on 10man. I love this service and denefitly buying again for aberrus.
