Scam

Scam! Bought a game for USD20. After downloading I would have needed to purchase a PS Plus subscription to play the game. A very sad 9-year old son here - thanks a bunch, PlayStation!

The previous PS store was wayy better. Offered far better user experience.

The previous PS store was old but it was functional.
The new one is absolutely abysmal! Other than the lack of wishlist, screenshots and trailers, the new store lacks basic functionality! No sort option. No filter option. Sometimes hard to distinguish between game versions and dlcs from the grid based menu. No proper quick menu. The browsing menu layout is basically a 6 column grid with large thumbnails that just compels too much scrolling. And the homescreen is utterly disappointing. Large banners with very little information. Users need to scroll much more to get to their intended sub-menu. This design approach only looks good on wireframe concepts. Serves no purpose and in turn the UI navigation is just plain irritating. And other than all the above mentioned, the performance is even more annoying. Sometimes takes ages to load results after a simple search. And sometimes even fails to load the prices after the long load. What a mess!

Totally useless after relaunch

The PSN store website is pretty much useless and unusable since the relaunch in October 2020. No prices, no filters, no option to add anything to a cart, no more wishlist.
The page might just as well not exist since they obviously don't want us to buy anything through it.

PlayStation is a rip off merchant

So today I had great email regarding games I spent hard earned money on digitally, I agree if your account is banned for offensive language then you should lose your account but games you have bought digitally should still be yours if I had brought the disk version then even if my account is banned I’d still have the disk, so PlayStation banned my sons account that I purchased modern warfare on for offensive language totally agree the account got banned kids will be kids, the computer that it was installed on broke so I had to purchase a new computer when I went to the library to re install my sons games it was there to download so I downloaded it and when it came back on it’s asking me to purchase multiplayer again £59.99 as I purchased it once I don’t want to pay again basically they said I would have to purchase it again absolutely disgusting replay why should I purchase a game I already boaught so for all the millions PlayStation is worth you want me to purchase it again merry Christmas you filthy animals rip off merchants

Never pre order from this store

Never pre order from this store. My Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order they changed the code so that pre-order could never pre-load nor download after release, so I would have been better off just buying the game on release. Taken ages to get a refund too, try to avoid if you can.

The store is barely usable since October 2020

The store used to be usable. It used to have a wishlist. You used to be able to see how much money games cost and how much you could save. Since the redesign in October 2020 it is almost unusable. Half the time I can barely get it to load properly. I have been buying digital since 2013. I am seriously considering going back to physical media. Thank Buddha i was able to get my hands on a Playstation 5 with a blu ray drive.

I created an account here just for this review

I created an account here just from pure frustration from the new PS Store web experience. I opened a web version of PS store just to add December PS Plus subscription games to my library and I was staring with awe at the mess they call the store. It was constantly offering me PS plus subscription although I already have one and instead of something even remotely resembling store interface I was browsing in something more similar to some web presentation or advertisement, I even wasn't sure if I'm in store or I went to some advertisement section of the Sony site and I was completely confused while Sony web not giving me any hints at what the hell is happening and what should I do. I was finally able to add the Plus games to my library but it was completely unintuitive, it was first offering me "Download" (WThell) and after clicking on that I went to the game page where I was finally able to add it. In the old store, while having a medieval design, it was so easy to simply list PS Plus games for the actual month and add them to the cart like a store should do. Now? No point in describing all the details - this is not a store, it's a joke. And being a web developer I really can't imagine this confusing mess passed some UX testing or even that UX was a concern when this was created. Uf.

Sony needs to fix its search filter

Sony needs to fix its search filter, I can't find any games from the genres I want to look for. In addition, the interface and contrast outright sucks, how are any new developers supposed to market their games like this? Nobody is going to be able to find anything, fix it!

A total letdown.

The worst redesign in the history..
Jesus christ the usability totally tanked with the redesign.
I liked the wishlist. Now it is gone..
Looking at deals, they don´t even show prices on the overview which is crap.
Sorting anything is totally gone too.

Sony, this is tragic. Who authorised and gave this a go.
Shame on you.

My account with 25 games across 2…

My account with 25 games across 2 systems just got perma banned because I put custom firmware on my 14 year old ps3 that they no longer support. As I still own a massive collection of physical PS2 games I thought it would be handy to be able to play them on my PS3. Trying to play games that I own on a system that I own got me Perma banned and now I cant access Games for my PS4 that I paid full price for. Sony customer support just say you broke terms of service so tough luck. They just ignore consumer rights. Will never buy digital from these crooks again.

what the eff Sony

I can't filter or sort by price or genre, no wishlist, Vita and PS3 Games removed, Add-ons and DLC are mixed with full games, making it even more confusing. Today I wanted to browse the current Black Friday sales. What I normally do is to look on my wishlist, where I had EVERY game I would want listet, and just see if they are on sale, but that's not possible anymore. This makes me not want to buy anything from this store anymore. Second-hand it is

Google Play now more functional than PS Store

Almost zero functionality and usability.

Removed functions:
- wishlist (+ deleted old wishlist without announcement)
- screenshots, videos (buy a game guessing by cover or google it via external sites/devices)
- sorting abilities (by platform, release date, genre(not totally removed but implemented very poor now), price, title, type (game, dlc, pack)...)

Cons:
- unintuitive interface
- uninformative (big game pictures and BUY buttons but if you want to read about the game you should scroll page down and read tiny font)
- now it's just a game advertising board but not a store

Pros:
- Google Play (was the worst store for me) now feels better (still extremly awful) and have more functions than new PS Store.

Bring back the old design

Bring back the old design! This new one sucks. It's really bad, I can't filter or find anything easily and it keeps crashing. Why would you ruin a good thing already!!
