I am leaving this review following a children’s birthday karting party at PMG Karting World on Friday 30 January at 6:00 PM.

During the junior session, my child collided with the inner barrier and, as a result of the impact, their helmet came completely off and fell onto the track. This is a serious safety concern. A correctly sized and properly fastened helmet should not come off during an impact.

I raised this directly with the venue afterward. While they responded initially and stated that CCTV had been reviewed and that procedures were followed, they did not address the core issue: how a helmet could come off during a collision if it was correctly fitted and secured. After my follow-up email seeking clarification, no further response was provided.

Thankfully, my child was not injured, but had their head struck the barrier after the helmet came off, the consequences could have been severe. This is not about blaming staff, but about acknowledging a clear safety risk in a children’s environment.

I am sharing this experience so other parents can make an informed decision. I would strongly recommend that helmet fitting, strap security, and in-session monitoring for junior drivers are reviewed and improved.

Took my partner there for the Monday Madness session and the staff were so amazing! They were so encouraging and good at boosting your confidence. They were so accommodating too, I was nervous so we had a lot of laps where it was just me and my partner. Really amazing experience! Thank you!

Had another great karting session here today. Family session with my 8 year old son in a junior kart and myself on an adult kart (which has a boost feature). Definitely pick the 2 x 15 minutes. They have head cameras for recording the experience, and the juniors have neck braces for safety. Fully electric karts, so really clean and dry indoors. Far better at this time of year. As we left, there was a group of 8 kids riding on the Cowabunga karts, which are smaller and slower, looking like they were having a great time (Birthday party I think). The remote speed limit feature for all of the karts makes the place very safe for newcomers also - the Marshals can keep you within your limits remotely until you pick up confidence.

Had a really great experience recently.
Manager Joe was very helpful. Will be coming back again.

Amazing venue with interactive darts and axe throwing!! Whole family had fun and the new floor and Diner is great!

Fantastic experience - we were part of a big corporate event which was well organised and the staff were so helpful. Big shout out to Meg for making it such a great day!

Been to PMG Karting World several times now and absolutely love the electric go karts!! They have recently added interactive darts too which were great fun for all the family to enjoy, couldn’t recommend it more for a fun packed family day out!

Been here a few times great experience

I took my son here today and my gosh the directions link from the site was shocking on a sat nav. Uts not sign posted clearly and tucked right way in a trading estate.
I was amazed when I got to the counter and found an unhappy customer talking with the staff. The staffs attitude , made me feel awful for that family and watching the 2 young lads and parents walking away
was heartbreaking.

If it wasn't for my young son going I myself would've walked out. Customer service should be professional and courteous at all tines, this was shocking.

I arived between the 10am and 12 that i was told to, both on wowcher and when i phoned to book, so got there about 11am, would have been earlier but there post code sends you to the wrong street.
I waited to be seen as they were busy on the phones, when they did see me Oly told me with a GRIN on his face that as we were late my son could not race, i explaind how i was told on the phone i just needed to be there between 10 and 12 and also that it was on the printout from wowcher, he said that was between wowcher and me, i said is there nothing you can do as its his birthday gift, again with a GRIN on his face he said you are late and thats that. I said why are you grinning and do you understand how far we have traveled and that its for a childs birthday? so whats funny?
I had to walk away from this person as i was like most people feeling angry at being treated like a joke by a person that clearly has no idea how to interact with people and how grinning whilst giving somone bad news is never going to add up to good custormer service.
My wife stayed there to get a refund on the gloves they told me we needed (before Oly said it was to late to race) and also to get the e-mail address to complain.
So if you prefer not to be treated pooly by somone that thinks upseting a child and wasting people time and money is funny then i would do just like im going to do which is to avoid at all costs.

Anna and oli provided great customer service and helped us impore our lap times and they were kind and helpful always helped out when needed. Malaika on bar was very welcoming. Thank you so much for a good time at PMG will definitley be coming back

Thank you to Anna and all of the Team for a brilliant day out. Anna was great, we arrived late but she went out of her way to accommodate us. Nothing was too much trouble. My son loved his first experience of Karting. I would definitely recommend this place for a fantastic day family fun day. All electric venue, very clean and fume free. The karts go at quite a good speed which my son loved. Thank you.

I had my son's 11th birthday party there. Go-kart are fantastic but the venue lacks organisation, staff and facilities to host birthday parties.
When I complained about the food the manager said well we aren't a restaurant you know. I also had to keep asking for the services that was supposed to be included in the birthday package. They have no party rooms either. The Karting is grate fun but save your money take the kids to Mcdonald after. Don't bother booking a birthday party package.

Do not book this place!!! They steal your money!!! If you are 2 minutes late, they won’t even offer you a partial refund or another day when you’ve travelled 🤬🤬🤬 barely says, only once online that you need to be there 30 mins before and they make no allowances for terrible road works in the area 🤬🤬🤬 disappointed children is all you’ll get from this place!!!

Great experience, staff were fantastic and made our visit one to remember. Would definitely recommend this place and I most certainly plan on returning very soon

By far the best Go Karts I've been on. The electric karts are fast and safe, with staff being able to control all the karts in case of an incident. Your also able to track all your results and times on an app. All the staff are friendly and the place is modern and clean.

What a track and those karts are awesome!! Very skeptical about electric after always racing petrol but wow, makes petrol look slow!! Instant power & a boost button. Really clean premium facility, great staff great experience.

We visited yesterday on a bit of a fact finding mission regarding the karts. Very helpful manager and track staff and marshals very clean and pleasant, snacks behind the counter. 2 members of our party raced in the track and both agreed that it was some of the best karting they had Experianced. So big thanks to manager and staff for an enjoyable visit and we will be back again sometime soon.

PMG Karting World ran 2 events for me over the last couple of weeks for 40 drivers at each one with personalised groups and heats. Everyone had a great time. There was some close racing, the layout meant everyone could watch the on track action and the facilities are amazing. I highly recommend PMG Karting World.

A great venue and top quality karts. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The track is brilliant and will give anyone loads of enjoyment. So many options plus 121 driving coaching if your kids are budding F1 drivers!! Get down to the track and see for yourself you will not be disappointed.
