PMP Training - Exam Preparatory Course - PMBOK Guide 6th Edition. 21 -25th September 2020

Thoroughly enjoyed participating in the course, it was very interesting and quite a challenge. All things considered my overall evaluation equates to a 4 star experience. My conclusion is based on the following aspects.

Registration (7/10)
The training centre was hosting several concurrent courses when I arrived for registration and it appeared that no specific person was coordinating this training. Consequently, the registration was somewhat sketchy and my complete information was not registered in the system.

Facilities (8/10)
Training room, training material and refreshments were all to a good standard and fit for purpose.

Facilitator/trainer (10/10)
The facilitator was very knowledgeable, competent and experienced in the PMBOK subject.

Learning experience (8/10)
The sheer volume of coursework to be covered in the 4 day window (day 5 was for final trial exam and closeout) meant that the training was conducted at a very fast pace, and even though the delivery was very succinct it was quite a challenge to read the slides, take notes and absorb the information in the limited time. The fast pace also limited the interactive aspect of the experience which I feel is important.

Value for money (8/10)
Given the cost of the training course I think at least one more day could be provided to allow a little more time for the coursework. The final trial exam might then be on day 6.

Closeout (7/10)
Consistent with the registration the closeout was also somewhat sketchy, the follow on steps regarding membership and exam registration/payment were not readily provided by the training centre and it was left up to the individual to seek out this information.
