Shady PNBlinds in Spokane
I can only speak from our personal experience dealing with Alex Tyson at PNBlinds in Spokane. We ordered Graber blinds with a slider door treatment for our entire home through Lowe’s Online Service. Alex and his helper came to our home as scheduled and measured. He was seemingly pleasant and professional. He helped us decide on the slider door treatment which was $1450 alone.
When installation day came Alex and his helper installed the window coverings. Upon completion problems with the slider were immediately noticed. It was physically hard to open and close, was noisy, the pleats didn’t rest evenly, and cords dangled down from the header. Alex feebly attempted to remedy these glaring problems but had little success. His response was, “that’s just the way these are and there’s nothing wrong.” I seemingly had to wrestle with Alex and finally insisted that he remove them and come up with another solution. He told me, “We’ll just have to wait to see what Graber says.”
Three days later we received an email from Amy Gentzyrl at Graber indicating that we refused the slider and the cancellation fee was $1052.66. We immediately emailed Amy and rejected her proposal and prepared to get Lowe’s and the AGO involved. Further discussion with Amy revealed that Alex had told her that we changed our mind and didn’t want the slider. Alex did not tell Amy at Graber about the substantial defects the slider shades had and why it was rejected.
Bottom line, we feel that Alex and his company, PNBlinds in the Spokane Valley dishonestly represented us to Graber. Amy at Graber made it good when she learned the facts. Alex however did not go to bat for us and actually did the opposite. Needless to say, we do not trust Alex Tyson or Pacific NW Blinds in the Spokane Valley and will never do business with him again. Still further, we likely won’t be buying any more Graber products. In an effort to improve, we would have been helped if Alex supported us and took care of the problem. Graber would have more helpful by manufacturing a shade without defects.
