Disappointed
Unfortunately, we were not lucky that much as others here.
Paid for the service (£250) to get agreement in principle prepared and to receive support moving forward.
We found property quickly and received mortgage offers from PB. PB Broker also told us to avoid and refuse any offers from Broker that possibly would be provided by our developer (New Build - provides own solicitors and brokers. As the first time buyers we did not know that until then).
However, we've decided to listen offers from both sides and we were shocked to find out that our developer representative got us not only better mortgage offer but his service cost us nothing at the end.
We wanted to stay professional and inform PB Broker that we will choose better deal, but also tried to confirm why we would have to pay more, if we would choose PB mortgage offer.
PB Broker used various of excuses saying they've got access to every single bank and CAN find better deal to beat another Broker offer at this point...
I asked myself a question here: Why this wasn't done in the first place? Shall we not aim for the best at the beginning?
Did not feel like we were in good hands. Someone took money to deliver best possible service and did not put enough efforts to satisfy that promise.
We've stayed with Broker offered by our developer at the end.
Just keep that in mind and make your own research when choosing PB as better deal may be available.
