I regret ever buying a Popal bicycle. Within just one year, it turned into a disaster. First, the gears started slipping. Then the brakes wore out unusually fast. Eventually, even the frame started showing cracks—yes, the bike's actual construction failed. For a product that’s supposed to be roadworthy, this is unacceptable.

To make matters worse, Popal refuses to take responsibility for any of the broken parts. Their customer service is a joke, which is completely unhelpful and dismissive. When I tried to order replacement parts, I was told I’d have to wait four months. Four months for a basic spare part? That’s beyond ridiculous.

This brand clearly doesn’t stand behind its products. If you’re thinking of buying a Popal bike, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. Cheap build, zero accountability, and a support system that might as well not exist.

I spoke with many bicycle dealers in Heemstede and Hoofddorp, and they refused to sell the Popal bicycle because of poor customer service.

I have black popal transporter men bike. my rear tire broke air. i had to disaseble almost entire bike to change rear tire. popal bikes are marvel of bad enginering. avoid at all cost as changing tire can be more costly than buying another bike. they are really bad enginered and after asemplying its impossible to assemble it back to milimeter similar.

Ordered an electric fire online from small bee received no email no order number and can’t get a reply via email.

My battery broke down and they are unable to send me a new one, the only store with their bikes in Portugal closed

The sensor is broken. My bike bears the Popal brand. All the stores refuse to repair it because it carries this brand. I called customer service and explained to them well about the fault, but they refuse to cooperate.

AWFUL SERVICE AND QUALITY. My electric bike broke down in 3 months, till to point that today the battery stopped working on the way. Break, light and gear also stopped working in the 1st month and even though I wanted to return it, it took soo long to get any reply that actually they didn't do anything. It has been 2 months I try to even get a simple service, and also to get the bike fixed and no answer at all. I am devastated to spend any cent on this bike, I want my money back, because I have zero trust in this company. My bike wont be ever fixed and if so who know for how long will it take to do it. Who will compensate my travel cost?
This is just a joke and can't believe how unprofessional the company is.

Popal provides great bikes and has a very good after sales service - providing great care to customers.

Exceptional service from Pieter, he really exceeded my expectations with his knowledge and service. I am very greatful that I can keep my popal mens bike on the road with the right parts being sent to me.

I was looking for a missing screw on my Cangoo buckle bike. I sent them an email and they respond very quickly and provided the part very quickly.

Bought a lovely bike some years ago- works great and looks great!

I have the Popal e-volution folded bike and has been a good and reliable choise without problems the last 2 years. The customer service experience was really helpful as well.Highly recommended.
