I had been looking for best price for Hypnos matress . I popped into Portisbeds in Portishead . Very friendly greeting, left alone to have a look around , when I did ask for help John was very helpful , knowledgeable, non byast or pushy . I was given the best price , orded in November 2024 , I was kept upto date with delivery in January .The matress had an unpleasant smell. Hypnos does advise that due to the natural material this does happen but August came and I could still smell it,after constantly leaving the mattress to air .I popped into see John,cutting a long story short,after Hypnos sending an independent asesser round and John fighting my corner ,they agreed to change it. I had a new matress delivered in October 2025. Can't thank Jonh enough , I was so stressed as this was a £1000+ mattress. Nice to have him on my side 👍
John and his company supplied an adjustable bed for my mother within 10 days of visiting their large showroom in Portishead. It was a custom colour, made to order and 40% cheaper than a similar bed which another company in Weston Super Mare had failed to deliver (see my other reviews). Mum got to try out 3 different mattresses in the showroom and he took great trouble to check she was comfy and explain the controls. Delivery was 10 days instead of the promised 6-8 weeks of the other company and the guys turned up bang on time and dismantled her existed bed promptly. I can 100% recommend this company and wish I had gone there first. If you are considering buying a bed and live within and hour of Bristol he is well worth a visit.
