Worst experience

Worst experience. I ordered a perfume. It arrives and I was out on a trip. When I came back I smelled and it was plain water. No perfume at all. Couldn't open a case cause already passed 72 hours. Never again.

I Will Stick With It But Under My Terms

I have spent many years on Poshmark as both a seller and buyer. I enjoyed being a part of the community during the time in spite of the gradual problems I have seen with this selling site including poor customer feedback, illogical justifications or sometimes lack of justification for deleting certain listings, harsh restrictions, there are scam accounts and inactive user accounts that clutter searches, many sleazy resellers who want low ball offers with the intention to resell back on Poshmark for triple the cost they paid, sellers who mislabel their items especially jewelry as sterling silver when it is not and act ignorant when you ask if the metal is marked 925, the live show contests for gift cards that give you less than 1% chance of winning and only if you stick around- why should I remain hopeful?, constant advertisements to promote my closet during a trial period- as if I care- I was doing fine already, and so much more.

Poshmark is not accredited according to the Better Business Bureau. There are so many resale sites online. I was considering moving on but that is not easy. Like quite a few sellers I have talked with, they have established themselves there, it is not that simple to leave. But new restrictions have questioned my loyalty.

Sure I had some fun times but more in the beginning when I started on Poshmark however the site have made some questionable decisions over the years that I can see may have negative consequences or at least are not seller friendly or focused. I have never felt like a valuable part of the Poshmark community even after getting ambassador status. Tragic.

But reluctantly I will stay. Just will not be putting as much of an effort in selling there as I once did before. I do hope though that they bring back some of the engaging aspects that they used to have that encouraged selling on this site and make purchases as they did when I first started selling on this site. And, perhaps become more realistic and logical with policies.

*By the way, some complaints here could easily have been prevented if you look at Poshmark's policy. Like most reselling sites- clothing listed by size and shown in photos is the size. It does not matter if when you got the clothing, it does not fit you as long as the size was clearly stated and shown in photos. Even if clothing has been modified, shrunk, etc., it still does not matter regardless. Still, an ethically reliable seller would state it was and post measurements but not all of them do. It is tragic.

I sold vintage pants tagged the right size but pants did not fit the buyer who filed a claim- I won. Perhaps the pants being older had different measurements than modern pants? Could be, but either way, it was the right size.

But as a buyer, I bought a jacket that obviously shrunk but as size was listed on the jacket as seen in the photos, I filed a claim and lost.

This policy maybe based on a lot of reasons similar to other resale sites. Many resale sites including Mercari, Vinted and more have the same policy. One reason perhaps is to avoid people who may treat Poshmark as perhaps a rental clothing site- buy the clothing- wear it once and return it by filing a claim- as if.

But it also protects the seller not the buyer- definitely true. As a seller, I now post measurements on most of my listings as a courtesy and as a buyer, I ask for measurements. I mostly only buy from buyers who are willing to post measurements if asked, that is unless I have purchased from the seller before and know their clothing would fit me, or that seller is an ambassador so therefore honorable, would accept returns if the item does not fit, or generally sells clothing of that particular size. But yes, unless the clothing was labeled as an adult size in the listing but you end up with a child size item instead, you will not win a return claim. It is clearly stated in their policy.

One article of clothing I would never purchase on a resale site is pants unless the measurements are listed and even then I am hesitant. But all the more reason why as a seller I post measurements on most of the pants I sell.

I try to be honorable as a seller but not all sellers are and I get that Poshmark's policy is one sided favoring the seller- but I see that in most aspects, it should even if it is not ideal or fair. But all the more reason why buyers need to ask questions and get enough information they need from the seller to make a purchase that they will be satisfied with.

Received a supposed Nike basketball…

Received a supposed Nike basketball jersey that was either shrunkor not authentic. When comparing it to other NIKE jerseys in our house, it was two sizes smaller than what it should have been. The seller of the item produced some e-mails showing it was bought from a nba jersey site and because of that, Poshmark sided with the seller and said it was not a fake and I was stuck with the jersey. Stick to ebay or any other site that offers returns and won't stick you with bad products.

It seems as long as a purchase is…editing the review

It seems as long as a purchase is routine it’s not a bad site.
Had a recent problem with an imitation of a Sperry sneaker I purchased.
I had an initial response from Poshmark requesting several photos.
They were promptly provided, and then communication stopped.
Buyer beware.
Edit
After the claim was initially denied, I submitted it to another department ( with photos) .
This time around the reviewer saw the issue and a full credit was issued .

I want to give 0 star

I want to give 0 star. Poshmark is extremely terrible for selling and please don't use it anymore. Customer service is extremely terrible, they use Canada post for shipping which is extremely terrible too. My package was lost in the shipping process and then they disable my account and accused me of selling fake products without verification as they don't want to be responsible on this lost. PLEASE DON"T USE POSHMARK!! You'll definitely regret if you use poshmark!

I purchased a Shark FlexFusion hair…

I purchased a Shark FlexFusion hair styling device from Poshmark on January 25, 2026 for $241.34. The item was listed as “New With Tags,” but when it arrived the packaging had clearly been opened and there was visible hair on the device, indicating it had been used. This is a personal hygiene item and was clearly not new as advertised.

I contacted Poshmark customer support to request a return and refund due to the item being misrepresented. They refused to issue a refund because they have a strict 72-hour policy that automatically releases the seller’s funds.

Poshmark offered store credit instead of a refund, but I did not agree to accept store credit because I do not wish to purchase from their platform again. I am requesting a chargeback for the full amount because the item was not as described.

I wish I had looked at the reviews before…

I wish I had looked for reviews before posting items to sell. I was listing 3 items, and I hadn't even sold the 3rd item when Poshmark was already leaking my information freely to all and when I got an email saying my item had already sold, I didn't think twice to verify my account, WITH a credit card (I know, dumb move!!) which the scammers proceeded to charge up in the amount of a whole paycheck! I could not believe how QUICKLY and how easily they were able to access me, like there is ZERO security on this website and I will not be selling OR BUYING from here again. Makes me want to start my own website and do it RIGHT. I fell for the cc scam because I buy and sell online all the time and have never had anything quite like this happen at all. This website CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Poshmark doesn’t respond to harassment or bullying by sellers.
I deleted my account after having it for a long time, as I no longer feel safe.
A seller actually is now bullying me on an Instagram account, as Poshmark allows a link to go directly to your social media.
Do better.

I got defrauded on Poshmark as a Seller. A scammer buyer bought a bundle of designer items claimed inauthentic provided a fake COA and Pm sided with them. I lost all three items and earnings, essentially this was theft of my property and Poshmark facilitated it.

The item I bought was NOT as described

The item I bought was NOT as described. When I received it, I immediately emailed request for return with the pictures of the item. I waited 3 days and emailed again. My emails were ignored, they did not respond. I never received email notification that the return request was approved - and I should, especially because they have time frame to return your purchase. Instead I had to search on Poshmark website, very convoluted/user unfriendly system. The link to download return label does not work so now, for a 2nd day, I am contacting Poshmark to email me again the return label. I truly regret using Poshmark.com- it was my 1st and it will be my last purchase from them. All I can say is Buyer beware!!!

Zero stars

Zero stars. Sadly, Poshmark was recently acquired by a company focused on AI and no longer gives a damn about customer service. I tried in good faith for weeks to resolve an issue that wasn't my fault, only for them to NOT do their part, and then claim the issue was resolved. When I continually tried to reach out to customer service, they just ignored me and kept marking my issue as resolved. It cost me money and wasn't even my fault to begin with. Long story short, I received an incorrect item from a seller, and Poshmark made me pay for it. I ultimately had to appeal the charge through my credit card company after Poshmark started ignoring my messages.
