Moved me forward both as a person and a coach. Like taking a full academic year of material and a high level coaching certification in one!
As a trauma and addiction specialist, I recently completed the Positive Psychology Certificate Program with Positive Psychology Institute, and it was an outstanding experience. The facilitator went above and beyond with his presence, support, and generosity of time and resources, creating an intimate and safe learning environment. This program has been life changing for me and has significantly improved how I engage people and facilitate meaningful, lasting change.
I highly recommend Ruben. The course work was very straight forward and very practical. The entire program was very well thought out and I was able to apply several items throughout the course.
I was blessed to be part of the first cohort. The information in the program is a gift that keeps on giving. Going through the information the second time around, I am being gifted with a deeper understanding, things are clicking more, and insights are popping up.
A powerful aspect of this course, which I am still digesting, was the triads - working in groups of three - to apply the learnings as we learned them. I am someone who could easily lean towards being a “librarian of the mind” vs a “warrior of the mind”. The triads didn’t let the thoughts of “I am not ready yet” hold me back. Therefore, it put me into growth opportunities, and put me (and all of us) in a more capable position to coach and lead others. Thank you for taking the time, effort, and patience to create this course.

I benefited immensely from this course on both a personal and professional level. Science-backed and practical, the material was presented in a user-friendly and engaging way. I was able to begin applying the concepts immediately, and I've only scratched the surface of what this material has to offer. The educator, who is compassionate and insightful, draws from his impressive experience and education. The triad practice and feedback improved my coaching, facilitated personal breakthroughs, and created a powerful group dynamic and lasting friendships.

My coaching toolkit has greatly expanded as a result of the Positive Psychology Coaching certificate program. I appreciated the many opportunities to apply the new tools experientially in practice coaching scenarios each week.

As a relatively new coach, I entered the first cohort of this Positive Psychology Institute course hoping to feel more prepared to work with clients. The course exceeded my expectations.
What impressed me most was the sheer breadth and depth of practical resources provided. The course covered everything from identifying and maximizing client strengths, to building resilience, to goal-setting and motivation. Crucially, we weren't just pointed toward frameworks — we received actual assessments and workbooks ready to share with future clients. Because everything is grounded in strong science and research, I feel confident putting these tools to use.
Just as valuable was how accessible the learning experience felt. The bite-sized video format made it easy to fit into a busy schedule without sacrificing substance. The course also went beyond the "how to coach" fundamentals and addressed the business side of building a practice.
I came away with a significantly larger toolkit and a much clearer sense of direction. If you're a coach looking to grow both your skills and your confidence, this course is well worth your time.

I came into this program as an experienced coach, not a newcomer. I wasn't looking for basic tools — I was looking for the research and understanding behind tools I already use, and that's exactly what I found.
Dr. Salinas is the difference maker. His insight, experience, and generosity with both are extraordinary. He doesn't just teach positive psychology — he illuminates why it works. That deeper understanding changes how I will hold these concepts with clients. It's the difference between knowing a tool and trusting it.
I find that, for me, this program integrates well into my existing coaching practice. The science behind strengths, resilience, and well-being now sits underneath my work in a way that will directly benefit my clients — more precision, more depth, more impact, more clarity.
If you're new to coaching, this is a great place to start. If you're already coaching and wondering whether this adds real value — it does. Not by replacing what you know, but by making it better.

The content and material are very well structured and thorough.
.
The dynamics of the class, emphasizing practice and implementation and evaluation course work through triads (coaches, coach, observer) was most effective.
All this facilitated via excellent use of distance education technologies that allowed smooth and consistent interactions.
Dr. Salinas was most generous with his attention, time and knowledge.
I complete the course feeling I am prepared to initiate my journey as a Coach Positive in Positive Psychology, and that I have the tools and network to continue studying, learning and growing in the process.

I had a very positive experience completing my certification with the PPI Institute.
The program offers highly valuable, well-structured content that is applicable both professionally and personally.
The methodology combines theory, practice, feedback, and reflection in a very enriching way, truly allowing participants to integrate coaching and positive psychology tools into real-life scenarios.
In addition, I believe this certification has a modern and in-depth approach that is well aligned with today’s needs in human development and conscious leadership.
Without a doubt, I highly recommend the PPI Institute to anyone seeking serious, professional, and transformational training.
