Many promises but seller never delivered what was ordered
Ordered the following from Powerfulelectricbike.com:
-an electric bike conversion kit
-a matching battery
-a torque arm
at the end of February. Had asked if the goods were in stock beforehand, and was promised shipping via UPS. After two weeks the seller gave me a tracking number, which turned out to be for a package only containing the electric bike conversion kit. Then at the end of March I got a tracking number for the battery. Either the items were not actually in stock or the seller just didn’t bother shipping them out before then, despite being reminded many times.
Then the second package arrived and it turned out that the battery did not match the electric bike conversion kit, and the torque arm was nowhere to be seen. I contacted the seller who mid April said he’d ship the missing torque arm and a connector for the battery via DHL, which never happened.
While waiting for the missing parts I tried charging the battery using the supplied charger, and found out that I had been sent a battery which had a substantially lower voltage than what had been ordered. I contacted the seller who (mid May) said that he would ship out a new battery. At this point (4 months after the order was placed) it was perhaps not so surprising that the replacement battery never arrived, despite the seller promising that it was on its way several times.
In conclusion:
- Very slow at shipping out goods
- Did not ship out all the ordered goods
- Sent battery which did not match the electric bike kit
- Battery turned out to have a significantly lower voltage than what had been ordered
- Seller claims that missing parts / replacements are shipped out despite not delivering any proof. Very adept at wasting customers time.
If the missing things actually do show up I’ll update this review… but really, if you need some bike parts you need to look elsewhere.
