Very useful website for practicing Portuguese and for increasing my confidence in using the language whilst I'm in Portugal. When I return to the UK I can put the learning on hold for a while. They also have a very good translation area for those times when one gets into difficulties with explanations to the locals!! The website owners are helpful and responsive and very willing to communicate.

This is the best online language program I have experienced bar none. It is set up so you develop speaking, reading, listening and some writing at the same time. The units are short so that you are never overwhelmed but still make forward progress. Best of all is the smart review which uses spaced repetition to make sure that you actually remember what you have learned. The supplementary videos are great as is the app. And customer service is very quick and all your language questions are answered in person. I wish a program like this was available in other languages. Bravo!

Excellent in every way. I have particular difficulty in listening and understanding Portuguese. The Shorties have helped me enormously....sometimes amusing, sometimes interesting but always engaging. Recommend.

So user-friendly and intuitive. The program makes learning fun!

I like the cost,very reasonable. The Portuguese speakers seem to be real folks,not actors. The reminders for spelling and punctuation are great. You cannot do a lazy error and get away with it. The last reason is very crucial for lazy learners like me.

I am getting more and more fluent by the day. I recently hit a point of inflection in my learning curve where the learning rate increased dramatically. I am still going to struggle for a while and then a second increase will take me to 90% fluent.

The best option for someone wanting to learn european Portuguese. Variety of study options which work great on app or via the website. Plus a translator which can uses 'tu' over 'voce'. All in all a great service!

This is the best language course one could wish for. If you want to learn European Portuguese, there‘s no need to look any further.
Everything from grammar to language use to pronunciation is explained brilliantly. Every word or expression has embedded audio files for pronunciation, so you can get it right from the start. The wealth of material on every possible aspect of European Portuguese is staggering: you can browse freely, deep dive into specific topics, or rely on the units progression - whatever your learning style or the mood of the moment dictates.
Clips of native speakers „from the street“ as well as more polished dialogues are scattered throughout, allowing exposure to different speakers and accent. I personally find the mix of listening, writing and speaking exercises at the end of the units and in the review sections ideal to consolidate the material by repeating it from different angles.
The site navigation is also very well thought out, and the user interface and user experience are perfect.
I cannot recommend this enough!

Perfect, relaxed way to learn Portuguese. No pressure whatsoever.

This app provides a great way of learning to understand portuguese. The app doesn't quite have all the tools that the website does, in particular for checking your pronunciation, but everything that is here is perfect (these guys are perfectionists and a lot of fun to follow around).
