Loose loose, travelers beware.
The group does not realize times are changing, it's very hot now and there are no air cons. A stupid fan that moves hot air around is what I have tonight. My wife and child are complaining, not sleeping and as a result, me too while I am trying to comfort them. What a absolute mess. The point now is, tourism is out the window, we want people to come here and spend their money so we can thrive, forget it, we can't keep their families comfortable.
Comfy bed
Comfy bed, a good breakfast selection and friendly attentive staff
Disabled bays Abuse
Nobody listens. Disabled bays always full of workmen vans staying overnight. I had to go to Worcester this week, usual story.

* Impossible to Sleep During Heatwave, improving temperature control is mandatory
I’ve been staying at Premier Inn regularly for over four years because my employer has a corporate agreement with the chain. During that time I’ve stayed in many locations, particularly around Manchester, Scunthorpe, Hull, and the North West.
The beds are comfortable, and most( not all)of the staff are friendly, professional, and do their best to help guests.
However, many of the hotels feel dated, with worn carpets and rooms that could benefit from refurbishment. My biggest concern, though, is temperature control.
In the summer, the rooms can reach around 29°C at night, even more. The small fan provided makes very little difference, there is no air conditioning, and the windows only open a few centimetres at the bottom, so almost no fresh air comes in. It can be extremely difficult to sleep in these conditions, especially during heatwaves.
In the winter, I’ve also found that the heating often switches off during the night, leaving the room at around 17–18°C depending on the hotel. That can also make it difficult to get a comfortable night’s sleep.
Many Premier Inn hotels are located next to motorways, busy roads, or airports. Because of the noise, simply opening the windows isn’t a practical solution. Good soundproofing is important, but it also means reliable heating in winter and effective cooling in summer are essential.
I also feel sorry for the reception staff, who often have to work in very hot conditions during the summer. They are doing their best, but the buildings don’t seem equipped to cope with today’s weather conditions.
I also believe this is becoming a health and safety issue. With the UK’s increasingly frequent heatwaves, rooms that remain close to 30°C overnight, with very limited ventilation and no air conditioning, can be uncomfortable and potentially unsafe for some guests, particularly older people, young children, pregnant women, and those with certain medical conditions. Premier Inn should take this seriously and invest in better cooling and ventilation to provide a safe and comfortable environment for both guests and staff.
Premier Inn is almost always busy and has contracts with many companies, so I believe it’s time to invest in improving guest comfort. Whether that’s installing air conditioning, providing portable air conditioning units during heatwaves, improving ventilation, or upgrading heating systems, these changes would make a huge difference to the quality of sleep.
Overall, Premier Inn still offers comfortable beds and generally good staff, but the lack of proper temperature control means it no longer offers the level of comfort I would expect for the price. As the UK’s climate continues to change, I hope Premier Inn invests in its hotels so they remain comfortable and safe throughout the year.
Told wrong process for parking, got a fine.
We visited Premier Inn High Wymcombe Central Hotel on Saturday 27th June to visit family. We parked in the Sainsbury's Dovecot MSCP as this is the carpark for Premier Inn guests. I asked the receptionist when checking in if I needed to pay for parking if we were coming and going, he said no, and that I would only need to pay when we left the car park after check out. When we checked out on Sunday 28th June, I paid for parking overnight as a Premier Inn guest by following the instructions at the parking meter.
However today, 10th July, I have received a Parking Charge Notice from euro car parks for £85 for parking for 31 minutes when we checked in and dropped off our luggage, before taking the car to visit family. This is frustrating as misinformation given by a Premier Inn employee who should be familiar with how the carpark his hotel operates has led to me receiving an £85 fine.
I will not be paying the fine, and I expect Premier Inn to organise for the fine to be cancelled, or to pay the fine for me.
Staff in the hospitality sector should not provide expensive misinformation.
35 degrees in the room and told the terms and conditions
I’ve been staying at this premier inn for 12 weeks and have booked another 4.
I have sworn by premier inn for 16 years and stay there most weekdays.
I did 32 degrees the week before last but 35 degrees Celsius in the room, I’m sorry is just too dangerous.
I changed hotel and was promised a refund from guest services but only after my check out time.
When it comes around to it, i call to find out I am not eligible because I knew the room didn’t have air conditioning. They could not answer if it was suitable at all to stay in the room at 35 degrees C.
It is sad that I am looking forward to news headlines of deaths in the Premier inn hotels due to heatstroke.
I will cancel and never use Premier inn again. How challenging is it to purchase air coolers for each room or at least offer a change to a hotel with air conditioning.
It’s two weeks in a year and they’re really happy to cause this much damage to their customer base.
Absolutely ludicrous and Lenny Henry would be fuming.
Stayed at Premier Inn Worcester
Stayed at Premier Inn Worcester . Hotel was ok and fit for purpose but their parking is very suspect. I was one of 4 cars in our party who all used the pay and display but a dodgy company called parking eye sent me a notice saying i did not pay . Even after sending bank statement they want money . Absolute joke and fraudulently so be careful. By the way the other 3 cars were fine incredibly .
Very dissapointed
Very dissapointed. Booked 2 rooms for 1 night at Harlow mill for a total cost of £240. I appreciate that the staff (who were wonderful) cannot control the weather but for the cost we paid would expect air conditioning. The room was dated with a shower over the bath, the shower had very little pressure so was next to useless. The location was great and cannot fault the check in staff, the Beefeater next door was very nice with good food and lovely staff. Would have liked to express my feelings when we checked out but there was nobody at the desk.
5 star services
I have nothing but praise for the premier inn phone helpline
We had to cancel our hotel due to the people we were visiting had unforeseen health issues.
It was moved with no bother to a more suitable date.
Well impressed as we thought we'd lose the money
Average this time
2nd time visit & a little disappointed on this visit. Double room, 2 guests but only one set of towels. Even if we don’t want the room cleaned, surely they would change the cups and refresh the tea/coffee, empty the bins on a 3 day stay. Breakfast was the worst I’ve had in over 20 years of travelling for business with this hotel chain. Moldy tangerines, a fruit salad that had seen better days, undercooked sausages, overcooked bacon, congealed fried eggs, rubbery scrambled eggs. Went to get some toast and left plates with half our food on and they had been taken away! On the upside, friendly staff, great location.
Excellent Service
We stayed at the Bricketwood Premier Inn near St Albans & would like to thank Marta on Reception & all the other staff for looking after us so well, particularly for locating a pair of spectacles we left behind & forwarding them on to us.
We stayed at the Premier Inn Eastern…
We stayed at the Premier Inn Eastern Ferry, Dover. Honestly, the whole place needs a total overall. The walls are all marked up and the place looks very scruffy. The beds were good but again, the rooms and building looked very well used. The staff were all nice and the breakfast offered by the hotel was good. The location on the water front also good.
Stayed at Leeds City (Elland Road)…
Stayed at Leeds City (Elland Road) hotel. Check in desks out of order. Had to wait 15 minutes to find a member of staff to check in. Booked in and paid the parking charge and enter my reg for 3 nights. Room was smelly, clearly some one had smoked in it previously. front desk not really interested. The week later got a parking charge for the middle night. I must of entered my reg correctly as I got only one in the middle of my stay. What a load of hassle appealing spent about a hour. Clearly a bunch of scammers.
Walsall premier inn
Walsall premier inn was awfully, No running water in my room, didn't offer me any reason or compensation, do not use them
Important ID warning for young adults
Be aware that Premier Inn may require original physical photographic ID from guests, and digital copies/photos may not be accepted.
We had a very distressing experience at this hotel when a family-room booking for three young people was initially refused because one adult guest only had a photograph of her passport rather than the original document. The adult lead guest did have valid physical ID.
The girls had travelled a long distance and were left very upset. The original room was only ultimately used after family members purchased two additional rooms and stayed at the hotel, so that the hotel’s requirements were satisfied.
Premier Inn later relied on its Terms and Conditions and refused any reimbursement or goodwill gesture. My concern is that such an important requirement and the serious consequences of not having original physical ID were not made prominent enough during the booking process.
I would urge anyone booking for young adults to ensure every guest brings original physical photo ID, not just a digital copy.
Disgrace and Scammers
I wish I could vote zero stars. This firm is an absolute disgrace. I booked a hotel for my fiancé who flys home from Morocco next week on the 15th July 2026. So I selected the hotel, added in breakfast for her and her daughter. Chose the 15th July (she actually lands very early hours on 16th). After paying the reserved date is the 19th July 🤷🏼 this was definitely not selected by me, I’m not stupid. So I go on again to amend my booking and funnily enough my desired date (not a weekend) is more expensive than the weekend date they have booked for me. So I call in to complain about this and their rude call handler does nothing to try and amend this error, instead she accuses me of lying and says the error is on my part. I can assure you, there will be more complaints out there for this, some may not come to trust pilot but I’m certainly not going to be the only one hit with this scam. Do yourselves a favour and don’t waste your time with these scammers and thieves.
Distressing experience
It was close enough to Gatwick, a five minute drive away however, as there was no hotel shuttle it cost £26 for a taxi from the airport. The day before my arrival they informed me that their was no restaurant available then to top of a horrible experience, the room had no air conditioning and it was 30 degrees outside!!! Having travelled for over 15 hours I simply wanted one night to rest before continuing my journey only to be subjected to a distressing experience.
