3 Presonus product daily user

Wow! Presonus is amazing. I own a 6 year old set of Eris 5 studio monitors and about a month ago I got myself the Sub8 subwoofer & a MicroStation BT Bluetooth receiver enabling my smart TV the ability to play streamed audio via Bluetooth. My Presonus devices were all bought from a South African audio store called Tuerk Music (Turnkey).

I paired these devices with the Audient iD4 audio interface and the AKG P220 mic. It's all just amazing.

The clarity & power of my monitors is still the same as when I'd just broken them in a week after buying them.

The bass on the Sub8 is rich & goes down to 28hertz. Which studio sub do you know goes that low at that price range?

Presonus is truly an amazing brand. I'm so sad to see a low score for this brand that has benefited me so much over the years. I'm always going to buy Presonus.

The range is just Stella, for an example you get the entry level, already amazing.. Eris range, then they've got monitors with ribbon tweeters that are insane (with efforless non fatigue treble) and then you get the Spectre range (I wish one day I can listen to those).

Then you get the Temblor 8 inch sub (unlike the Sub8, it's woofer is downwards facing) and the rumbling thunder dome 10 inch Temblor10 (this sub goes even lower in the frequency range).

The quality I've come to know & expect from Presonus is just so great.

I mean you've seen the amount of products & software this company has created. This is a serious audio company with very competitive prices, quality & performance.

Presonus, keep up the astonishing work you're doing. I, personally & based on the many reviews I've read love your products and their impressive performance.

Thank you !!

Out of warranty Communication with PerSonus

I just wanted to say that I have communicated with PreSonus for products that were out of warranty and even End Of Life. Any contact I've had with any person via phone or text has been very short, unhelpful and they don't seem to be willing to answer direct questions such as information about specific products and or part numbers. PreSonus does not care about the end user at all unless you have brand new equipment that's under warranty and that's really disappointing.

A major issue with a Temblor T10 Active…

A major issue with a Temblor T10 Active Studio Subwoofer that I bought just before the lockdown in 2020 or maybe slightly earlier. The unit was crackling all the time and had an internal fault. I had bought the unit from somewhere but could not find the invoice. I contacted Presonus technical (One Mr Doyle) and he located where and when I had bought the unit. Sadly by now it was out of warranty.

However Mr Doyle helped me tremendously - he raised a return for the unit as a gesture of goodwill. The speaker was returned and Presonus solved the issue very promptly and returned the repaired speaker back to me now operating perfectly.

Presonus did not have to do this, but they did not hesitate to help me, which is a very good gesture from any supplier and I think they were exceptional in their support, in their actions and their customer service thanks to Mr Doyle. It really is as good as I or anyone could expect. I remain very grateful that Presonus treated me in the way they did and it is well appreciated.

Over the years I have seen very few companies stand by their products in the way that Presonus did on this occasion and they should be commended.

I have operated Presonus for a number of years without ANY other problems so they remain highly recommended for their studio equipment.

As a working musician

As a working musician, I can't stress enough how awful PreSonus is. The unit they sent me [ 600£ audio interface ] had numerous issues over the 12 months I had it, it became unusable so I sent it for repair. This took 2 MONTHS! It returned partially fixed and has now become unusable again.

Very unhelpful support from Presonus, their technical advisor BUTCH was unhelpful and ignored the questions he didn't want to answer. I'm now left out of pocked with much wasted time. AVOID!!

In general

In general, the products are of good quality, but there are still small flaws in stability. In comparison with other sequencers, everything is very conveniently implemented

They break, just for fun!

Used my AUDIOBOX USB 96 just a few times over 18 months, and had less than six hours on it. Last week I hooked up two mics. #2 input no workie! Back and forth with Cust service, sending documentation and videos for a few days, and finally they said "sorry but you need to send it in for repairs," which would be $85. Not too cool since they cost under $100 for a new one. Nah! No more Presonous stuff for me!

Most unstable DAW i’ve ever used

Most unstable DAW i’ve ever used. Maybe they should put more effort in making the program itself work smoothly instead implementing halfworking features from other DAWs. Still hope, but it gets less from crash to crash. Support is there which is good, but it was never actually helpful in solving any problem.

A decent audio production company

They are a pretty decent company. I've been using their products (speakers, audio interface, DAW) and the quality of the products are also really good. Especially, Studio One made my music production easier and faster.
Their CS also responds pretty quickly. I don't have any issues so far.

Good products, TERRIBLE support!

Presonus Studio One is an absolute great product, but their support is so incredibly bad. They will only answer you once every 2 days, only with unhelpful stuff. I don't know who works there, but they should really do a better job. They will lose customers with support like this.

Awful Tech Support.

So I have owned Presonus gear for a long time. Going on 13 years. When you could talk to a live person they were great. Now support is awful. I was having issues with Studio One and UC Surface working together after a simple update. They had me do a factory reset, yet forgot to tell me how and where to back up two years of settings. Now I am left high and dry with support regarding the issue, and they really dont seem to care anymore. Sad and very disappointing to say the least.

I've been using PreSonus for years

I've been using PreSonus preamps, mic processors, software, mixers and speakers. Absolutely excellent experience, only needed support twoce in the last 5 years, and they were on it! No complaints, excellent products!
I love my Cdl12p cabinets. They are second to very few and I've had the pleasure working with some amazing audio equipment over 26 years.

Really poor

It's obvious, that this company is not interested in their customers needs. Support ist really poor and the audio midi interface Quantum 2626, that I bought, as well. It has really low latency and a good sound, but that is it. It has many bugs and it's really not comfortable to work with. I will return it and say Good Bye to Presonus forever...

Support was really bad

Support was really bad. In fact, I think it might be fake. I bought a faderport. It stopped working after a couple of days. Support had me doing lots of generic BS like uninstall/reinstall, update windows, update drivers, then they wanted me to update my BIOS and my chipset! I started a new ticket in hopes that I'd get a real support experience. Nope, I got an exact re-run. It was literally a cut and paste copy from the first time. I'm returning the Faderport. Very disappointing.

Presonus support is horrible

Presonus support is horrible.
My product had a small issue and after sending it RMA based on presonus' advice. I heard nothing back for weeks. After asking them they told me it was unrepairable. No further information was given, no photos shown, basically there was no investigation of the product at all. Even though the repair costs I agreed to are already the price of a completely new unit they still would not repair.

I paid for the costs of sending and even have to pay them for sending it back to me. There is no way of communication with presonus support except their website where they can hide behind delayed messages and just ignore angry responses.

In short, do not buy presonus products, avoid dealing with this company at all cost.

One-sided Practices Lead me to Spend Elsewhere

Preface: I've purchased their hardware (to my regret) and software (generally better) for several years. Each new upgrade was purchased as well.. until Sphere. Signing up over a year ago for $14.95 a month, I had concerns that I was signing on to be a lifelong slave.. and they were just realized. I changed banks, their payment to the old bank didn't go through. Usually something like $14.95 wouldn't be a big deal. They get it caught up, everyone's fine. But not this time.
The muse visited. Late night whatever hour, I fire up the DAW and begin working on the new song.... and then BOOM! the entire thing crashes (this has happened before and they have yet to respond to a crash report). But this time there's a message saying that they didnt' receive the $14.95 so version 5 (which occurred during the year and would have been $150 anyway) is no longer working. REALLY?! Over 14.95 not received on time you lay havoc on my DAW setup?! AND I lose the song?! Did I use what some might call profanity? Yep. Considering what just happened it's not surprising. What is was that their system recognized the terms, closed my ticket. WORD CHOICES ARE A CHILDISH EXCUSE WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE. No reply, can't get the switchboard operator to put me through or give me his supervisor.... That goes right along with them wanting me to pay $75 for warranty exchange on a $150 faderport. The software is good. I'll miss it when I go back to Digital Performer.
Someone wanna tell me why my being upset and choosing words THEY call profane or unprofessional is any excuse for the ACTIONS before, during and after the circumstances? What's next? Prohibition against playing a B-flat followed by a B? Seems they can be as out of line as they want and you're just expected to deal.
Despite their lame hardware (really does sound like something Emerson would have made 20 years ago,) I had been referring people to their software. They can add that to the losses suffered because they couldn't manage to round up one single solitary Flutter.
P.S. Tried to call a specific member of in-house sales I'd worked with before. Got put on hold for some 20 minutes before I hung up.

PreSonus software very difficult to use.

I have found PreSonus software very difficult and complicated to use. When I loaded the software called Studio One 4, for up my Audiobox USB 96 — which I purchased, I found the outputs where off instead of on and difficult to configure. In my opinion: it's badly laid out and tools are difficult to find. Particular difficultly will be found channeling audio channels to outputs. You'll spend hours at it. You will spend more time learning about the software, than recording music. They also shower you with persistent promotional mail to buy updates and other products. Notwithstanding this company, I think the music business overall is more interested these days in selling music making products, than producing music.
