I had an absolutely wonderful stay at…

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property! From the moment I arrived, the host was incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and exactly as described. The location was fantastic—close to all the main attractions, yet in a peaceful area, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The amenities provided, such as the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding, really made me feel at home. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Such an amazing stay!

We had a fantastic time staying in Nottingham. Everything exceeded our expectations. Communication with the host was smooth and prompt, making the booking hassle-free.

The location was perfect. We enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby.

Avoid at all costs. Will be taking it up with consumer arbitration.

My daughter booked an apartment through booking.com and paid £300 for 3 nights from tonight to Sunday -plus £200 deposit towards any damage that may be caused but when she sent them her I.D she was told that because she’s not 21 years of age she would not be able to go so she asked for a full refund and meanwhile booked somewhere else as she needed a place to stay from tonight but was told the money was not refundable but then in a later email after she’d already told them she’d booked somewhere else was told they might be able to speak to the management to see if they could do something!! I thought they said she had to be 21! I’m disgusted at the way my daughter has been treated and will be taking up with booking.com and consumer arbitration. They’re not even offering to refund the £200 damage deposit knowing they’re not even staying and can still let the property out!! Some people have no morals. My daughter is on minimum wage and works hard for her money and has lost a third of her wages. 🤬

The age requirement of 21 is listed in our terms and conditions at the time of booking. Your daughter made the reservation and only upon receiving the completed online check-in form did we notice that she did not meet our minimum age requirement of 21. This policy is in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests. As soon as this was identified, our team reached out to inquire if she would have a companion over the age of 18 accompanying her. At this point, she mentioned that she had no other accommodation options. Our team then emailed to inform her that we would check with management to see if any exceptions could be made, as well as to inquire about the nature of her stay. Before we could provide a final decision, she responded that she had decided to book elsewhere and requested a refund. We understand that this situation was not ideal, but it’s important to note that the booking was made under non-refundable terms, which were acknowledged at the time of booking. Despite this, our team made every effort to assist her. As for the damage deposit, we can confirm it has been refunded, and it may take up to 10 days to reach your account, depending on your bank's processing times. At Prim Short Stays, we strive to provide clear communication and support to all our guests, and we hope this helps clarify the situation. We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve our service.

Appalling Customer Service

I have recently stayed at a Prim Short Stay apartment and had a very undesirable experience. I booked 3 apartments which were adequate and good value for money however the real issue was the communication. I had a significant issue with the apartment being cancelled after I had checked in and after numerous calls and messages I was told I would need to repay if I wanted to stay (I had already paid through booking.com) after hours of back and forth I decided to risk not being kick out and went off to my event. I did speak to booking.com who advised 2 out of the 3 apartments had been subject to a small price increase (after I had made full payment) by the accommodation company and this is what the issue was. I found this very frustrating as they seemed to have no idea of this and worse tried to blame myself and booking.com for the problem. I have since had contact with the company to repay my small refund that had been sent back from booking.com when they cancelled the reservation. They have not once apologised for the mix up or put me in contact with the management team after multiple times of asking as I wanted to discuss the situation and more specifically a very rude conversation with one of the agents. I have never had such a poor customer service experience in my life.

We would like to clarify that the cancellation of your reservation was initiated by Booking.com, not by us, the property management team. We were equally surprised when on the second day of your stay, your booking disappeared from our calendar. As we do not process payments directly, we rely on Booking.com to handle all transactions. Upon discovering the issue, we immediately contacted Booking.com to understand why your reservation was cancelled, especially since you had already checked in and were halfway through your stay. Our primary concern was to ensure you were not inconvenienced further. Therefore, instead of asking you to leave, we sought payment for the cleaning fee to cover our operational needs.
We at Prim Short Stays appreciate your understanding in this matter and your feedback is invaluable.

Misleading pricing/hidden costs

Booked accommodation in Filey managed by this company. Said dog friendly, charges may apply.
Their main way of booking is advance non refundable payment. After a lot of searching and a phone call later found that they charge £150 extra for the dog! Never paid more than £10-£15 anywhere else. They can change what they want but should be clearly visable at booking. Booked via booking.com and hard to find who actually owns/manages the property. But be warned, may have more hidden charges. Luckily we were able to cancel the booking and will avoid any property managed by this company.

Apartment in a fantastic spot

My apartment was in a fantastic spot. Saved me a ton of time on my commute each morning. The flat itself was modern and had a private work space where I could catch up on email with a cracking view. They even sorted out a late check-out for me last minute upon request, which was a lifesaver. Couldn't have asked for a more efficient and comfortable business stay!

Brilliant

The accommodation I booked (not through this company) fell through at the last minute and Prim Short Stays saved the day for my Sheffield trip! So many cute cafes, shops, and bars to check out. It felt super safe too, even walking around at night. The flat itself was really cosy and had everything I needed. Huge thumbs up!

great apartment - easy access and excellent customer service

Stopped for work in an apartment in the city centre of Nottingham and really impressed. Check in was easy as all done online and via keybox code. Just what I needed, well equipped and when I had an issue using the heating, someone replied immediately to my message. Would book again for sure! Thanks again

Whitby

Booked an apartment via booking.com paid up in full at the time of booking. 3 hours before check-in received an email asking for a further £200 breakage deposit! I made contact to complain that this was unacceptable, given I had paid in full. I then mentioned the fact that there was a no pets message, I had booked this particular property as it was listed as pet friendly. This deposit then turned to £250! This company are absolute scammers and I would never stay at a property managed by them again. I paid the deposit as requested, after some discussions and failed promises by this company about the amount to be paid, and I am still waiting for a management call back. We arrived at the property and had received no instructions regarding check in from them, I had to agree to the house rules of no parties, we had a 7 month old baby with us! At no point during the numerous conversations during the day of check in did they ask for verbal confirmation of agreement to house rules. When we eventually gained access, the apartment was disappointing, the bathroom had mold on the tiles, and the cleanliness was rather lacking. Conclusion - DO NOT STAY ANYWHERE MANAGED by these jokers. - Also I am still awaiting the £200 back from this deposit 3 days after check out! : Update - I have received notification of release of full deposit back to my account which is totally unexpected as I was half expecting them to have found numerous issues!

Dear LB, Receiving a low rating is disheartening especially when we feel it is unfounded. All information regarding deposits, additional pet fees, and our check-in requirements are clearly stated on our listing and communicated at each stage of the booking process. All guests are required to provide valid IDs, and the deposit is intended to cover any potential damages. To be clear, this was advised on the booking site, on the booking confirmation email and also when you were chased to complete your check-in form and over the phone to you. As our properties are self-check-in we do not have a reception desk on-site and ask for the check-in form to be completed prior to arrival to avoid delays in providing entry. The security deposit stated in the Damage Policy Option section is necessary before your arrival as part of our terms and conditions and is auto-released 72 hours after the post-stay cleaning report. Which, as you yourself noted, was returned in full. We are not interested in charging guests without cause or notice. Regarding your concerns about the property's cleanliness and the mould in the bathroom, we sincerely apologise for falling short of your expectations. Had we been informed during your stay, we would have taken immediate action to address these issues and ensure a more comfortable experience for you and your family. We are disheartened by your review but will, of course, investigate if we could have made the notifications on deposit and check-in form requirements any clearer. As a small business, these reviews are vital to our standing and provide us with an opportunity to learn and improve. We strive hard to provide all our guests with the best experience and hope we can ensure a better experience for those who stay with us in the future.

Prim short stays - incredible operator with great people at the heart of the company.

Prim Short Stays to me are the best operator and management company within the Nottingham areas.

I work very closely with Prim in relation to helping house young people in crisis for a temporary basis, something that is a huge problem within the country and Prim have worked with us to not just provide properties, but also to work within us on a day to day basis.

As well as being a fantastic operator and management company within the Serviced Accommodation space, the biggest asset to anyone working for, with or staying with Prim is the team behind the scenes, who go above and beyond for partners, guests and anyone who stays or works with Prim.

Anyone who is staying in Nottingham, or looking to do SA in the area, I would strongly advise you get in touch with Prim Short Stays.

What out that you aren't scammed too!

Stayed in an apartment in Lake District - IronWorks 34. 2 hours before arrival was contacted via Booking.com to advise that we needed to pay £10/night to park, nothing mentioned prior to booking and on checking later website has in small print only £5. Finding the key location was only possible via 2 phone calls as the instructions were totally inaccurate.
On arrival a number of damage were observed, decided to take pictures and send due to the large deposit required(see some of the 20 that we found - oh and watch out for the extractor fan above stove it drops down into your food). Surprise, surprise a day after leaving we were informed the fridge shelf was damaged and £70 was removed from deposit. Many emails backwards and forwards and sent a picture dated 5 days before our arrival proving it was not broken(pictures attached - you decide!). After finally raising an issue with Booking.com(who did nothing) and my bank I have been presented with invoice - £30 for a shelf and £45 to fit - total rip off.
So if you intend to stay here take a picture of every little scratch, bump, etc as proof and email straight away! You have been warned.
Interestingly I have been sent an email in error for some other poor person who has been charged for cleaning - so its pretty clear this is something they do. NOTE - This apartment is managed by PrimStays(read the reviews elsewhere).
Sadly this has clouded our view of what is a very nice apartment in a very nice location - definitely won't be staying again...EVER!

Great Service

Stayed with Prim Short Stays in Nottingham, and had an issue with a kitchen appliance and I couldn’t fault the team for the service they provided. We had a brand new oven within a couple of hours and also they paid for a take away for the night too.
Would happily book with them again

Best serviced short stays

We have been servicing Prims properties for over 6 years now .doing their gas work including safety checks.repairs and boiler fits.during these years , I have found this company to always be honest and upfront. They deal in a fair and pleasant manner. Problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. The propertys are in wonderful condition and they always keep them upto regs and work to safe practice. It's an honour to work for them . I would always recommend them as somewhere good to stay for anyone visiting nottingham. Keep it up!!
