We hired John and his team last summer to repaint the exterior of our house, including replacement of iron work and stone steps and pathway. We could not be happier with the result. This was the 3rd project John has done for us in the last 3-4 years. Each time I have found the quality of work, attention to detail, and advice to be exceptional.

Project 1 - The team installed a new, hand-made kitchen we had purchased. John provided advice on related issues that inevitably arise on projects — eg, repair of the marble floor, selection of countertop material and vendor. Chris was on location every day overseeing the team and applying his masterly wood craftsmanship skills. Beautiful result.

Project 2 — In a flat we own, water from our flat had done serious damage to the flat below. John and his team had to locate the leak and dry out the area before enclosing it again. Meanwhile they replaced the ceiling of my downstairs neighbour, repaired cornices, and retiled a bathroom. The neighbour raved about John's work.

Project 3 — As mentioned above, last summer John's team of master painters and carpenters painted the exterior of our house. But this was not straightforward. It involved first grinding and burning off the gloss paint from all the brickwork, restoring some wood window sills, and water proofing a retaining wall. Also, importantly, John's network meant he sourced for us an excellent stone supplier, iron monger for gates, and electricians. The house was transformed. We could not be more pleased.

I highly recommend John and Primus Developments

We had a serious issue with our garden wall recently. We looked around for someone to do the work and we were highly recommended to contact Primus Development. We made contact with John Deeble the owner, who promptly attended to carry out a survey to assess the cause of the problem and to provide options for remedial work. In addition to this John provided estimates for the various remediation options. This was very useful as this gave full flexibility on selecting the extent and nature of the work to proceed with. I agreed a lump sum price for the work and Johns’team started two weeks later. Their standard of workmanship was second to none. Work was finished on time as promised and we were extremely happy with the outcome. Would highly recommend.

We moved house last year and in buying the house we knew that the En Suite to the master bedroom was too small and would need replacing. When considering arranging the work I was recommended Primus by a friend in the building industry and made contact with John Deeble, the company owner. In meeting John he immediately came up with a design concept that my wife and I loved. He also arranged for us to meet with a supplier to assist in the selection and specification of the materials. We used Sydenham in Bournemouth, local to us. They were very helpful and John basically project managed the design evolution and procurement of materials. We agreed a lump sum price with John and he estimated 3 weeks work with two of his multi skilled craftsmen, supplemented with a local (and very good) electrician. Work commenced in the summer and was completed on time to a very high standard of workmanship. His team worked hard and were very conscientious in keeping disruption to a minimum (we were able to use the existing shower for one of the three weeks by careful phasing of the work which really helped). Lots of protection and care was used by the guys and we even managed to still sleep in the bedroom whilst work was carried out which i did not think would be possible. Overall an excellent experience for what was a difficult job in restricted working space. If i could give more than 5 stars I would
