Procrearte procedure with Dra Liliana Blanco felt like a $13500 scam. Terrible lack of responsibility with zero results.
Sadly Procrearte just felt like it was clever but brutal $13,500 scam where they wanted to double up on the charges to fix their own incompetence. Despite having a perfect spermogram, Procrearte's biologists achieved less than a 10% success rate with the frozen eggs. They referred us to a partner facility, Ovogenetic, for an additional $9,600, of which the donor only received $500. So, we were informed that those eggs "failed," and both them, and their partner wanted us to pay again for more eggs and another procedure.
Team involved: Dra Liliana Blanco (made the referral to Ovogenetic) and Dr. Ariel Ahumada (Biologist who did the work)
Price transparency was impossible at Procrearte: It was impossible to get a fixed quote in advance, because after receiving a written estimate, we had to pay extra for various reasons. At one location, they refused to accept card payments, forcing me to pay in cash each time.
Interesting to note: there was internal doubt and division within their team regarding the referral to Ovogenetic. Some of their own staff members were shocked to learn about this referral. Yet, I trusted their advice, and this trust was completely abused.
This was an irresponsible medical referral to an expensive partner with zero accountability for the failed result: not from Ovogenetic (Owned by Raymond Oses), and not from Procrearte.
Despite allowing ample time to rectify the situation responsibly, they failed to do so. Instead, both organizations just wanted to "milk the foreign cow" for more funds, ignoring the fact that the industry success rate for the procedure is 45%, while they could not even produce a 10% success rate.
Procrearte cannot simply pretend that the public is "uninformed about biology" and ignore the fact that their own results were utterly poor. I expected them to fix their mistake at their own cost if the procedure failed due to their incompetence or the materials they recommended. But this, they could not do.
It also appears that most of the "positive" reviews come from paid egg donors at the same facility. We gave them a chance to rectify this with their referral partner, Ovogenetic, but both just wanted more money and acted as if the public is uninformed and ignorant of biology. However, biology shows that with a good spermogram, the success rate should be around 45%, not below 10%. This was an instance of costly incompetence.
Another interesting development was that during this time, 1st May, the law changed on surrogacy in Argentina: yet our procedure happened after this and our surrogates kept visiting them for exams and procedures. I had to learn from another notary that there was a pause in the legal procedure available for surrogacy, and this, the legal person of Procrearte only confirmed after we confronted them with it.
They cannot continue to treat people this way; it is simply irresponsible and unethical. Avoid Procrearte at all costs. Fertility scams in Argentina were reasonably undetected until now - and many feel that this was a case of milking a client who they thought could afford, and would accept this. BEWARE.
